These are beautiful! I'd just like to say thank you. I love listening to you. you get the info out there, you don't mess around with a bunch for talk that mean nothing to the tutorial. loved that your husband was being creepy, cracked me up. Thank you.
Aww! Thanks! I hope everyone finds my tutorials helpful! I love getting feedback and you seriously made me smile! 🥰
@@KristisCustomCreations Well I do't usually take the time to comment. But when I like something I say it. Also I feel people get too many negative notices to criticism and I am a huge firm believer in women supporting women and not knocking them down, help lift when up and support is usually a better method. Also I hope you get a commission cause I just put like 5 things from your list from amazon into my cart. LOL and I don't usually do that either.
@@amyaustin513 I greatly appreciate it and I completely agree, there needs to be more positivity and women supporting women! Amazon does give a commission for anything ordered through my links. You have completely made my day, I hope you have a wonderful evening!
The “creepy husband” made me laugh too! I have a question, Kristi - why is everyone using this particular brand of pen? I'm just wondering if there are other brands that can be used also! Thank you!!!
Katie, we are using this brand of pen because the way they come apart and go back together works well for what we are doing. This brand of pen also writes really well and is refillable. I've seen a couple of people use other pens but I honestly don't know what kind they were or how easy they were to epoxy and glitter.
So jealous of how easy you just weeded that vinyl!!! I have been having the hardest time trying to weed small letters! I've tried all different pressures and I just can't get it right! These pens are so beautiful! I've got to try it now! Thanks for the video😘
Thanks for watching! I have the Silhouette Cameo 4. I have found that this machine cuts better than my older silhouette. Thanks for watching! I would love to hear how your pens turn out!
@@KristisCustomCreations of course! So excited to try. They are supposed to be arriving today. I use a Cricut. Never tried silhouette but watching you weed makes me want to try🤣😂. Thanks again
🥰🥰🥰
I have the worst time too.

I'm so in love with your tutorials
Aww, thank you! 🥰
I really like tour tutorial! You are straight to the point and speed up on all the right parts!! Thank you for posting!!
Thank you so much and thank you for watching! 🥰
Omg you have truly done a great job on this tutorial. I have been searching how to do this for a year on tik Tok and everyone is gate keeping the information. Thankyou so much for this video. I am trying this on 2 pens first so wish me luck. Definitely will keep you posted on how my first pens turn out. Thanks again for your help.
You're very welcome!!! ❤️❤️❤️
love seeing this be done with chunky glitter.. Now I feel more confident to try it instead of just fine glitter.
Thanks for watching and for commenting!!!!! 🥰
Same here!!!!
This was the best tutorial I've found for pens!
I'm so glad you found it helpful! 🥰
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I felt like I couldn’t do these pens, it looked very tedious. You have given me inspiration to try this though. Thank you once again.
You are very welcome and I hope you found it helpful! Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
You are a great teacher 👍
Thanks so much and thank you for watching!!!
Oh and quick tip, I have a similar vinyl squeegee and I figured out those two little raised areas are perfect for holding the pen while you apply vinyl!
Good to know!!!!!!! Thank you for the tip! 🥰
Monica, So.. I just want to say I tried your tip about using the raised areas on the squeegee to hold my pens while I apply vinyl and I gotta say... YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!!! This was an amazing tip! Thank you!
🙄I just made that same comment lol
Your tutorial was perfect! I like the close-ups so that you can see what you’re doing and very well explained.
Aww, thank you so much! :)
I would agree with RS Barrett. You made me so nervous as you made the cuts. My son teaches Industrial Technology and always tells his students to cut away from you for safety never towards yourself. But I also have to tell you that I love the details you give in your demonstrations. It's great that you give the size you cut the vinyl. I went back and watched your first video. Thank you for all your information. I am picking up some pens this weekend.
Thank you :) I hope you have a wonderful weekend and good luck with your first set of pens!
@@KristisCustomCreations Ha! Ha! I must say I was a little nervous, too, watching you cut towards you instead of away. I speak from experience, sadly. My husband bought me a pair of gloves which protect your hands in case you slip with the knife. I guess he could not stand the sight of blood 😁
Great tutorial, to the point, and easy to understand! THANK YOU!!!
Thank you so much!!! I hope you found it helpful! Thanks for commenting!! :)
Thank you for a very detailed video. Yours was the first one to show how to replace the inside of the pen!
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching! 🥰
I enjoyed your video. You were saying you could heat the clip part to get it to come off. You could also heat the blade. That may help cut through the plastic a little easier.
That's such a great tip!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!! 🥰
I used my heat knife on my pens today and worked like a charm :)

I love your tutorial! But WOMAN you scared that living crap out of me with that knife!! My anxiety went way up! I use my Dremel tool for that part and the 2 little hearts on the back.
Lol! A dremel is a great idea.. I have changed it up how I cut off the nub since filming the video 😉
Ohh that’s a great idea!
Thank you! I love the idea about putting them on the foam insert. Great video thanks for sharing.
You're very welcome!!! Thanks for watching! 🥰
Mount a paper towel holder under your turner some where and hook your transfer tape to it for easy measuring
That's an awesome idea! Thanks for the tip! I usually sit at my desk when I do decals but for this video I did the decals at my tumbler work bench which made things a bit more difficult. But seriously... That's such a great idea and I'm def going to have to do that!
These are BEAUTIFUL!! I don’t work with epoxy or resin because it intimidates me and working with it, even with proper PPE, scares me because I already suffer with chronic health issues. These make me feel like I could actually do them though...or maybe it’s just because you make it look so easy 😂 I might have to give it a try just to see. I’ve heard it’s very addicting once you start doing things with it. Thanks for sharing!
They really are addicting! HAHA! I don't know much about Crystalac but its my understanding that it is much safer to handle and be around. May be something for you to look in to. :)

Awesome to see you do them with chunky glitter! I was thinking it would get too thick with chunky. I love doing these!
The chunky is SO pretty on the pens!!!! just make sure to get the glitter as flat as possible before you epoxy over the chunky glitter.
You’re amazing thank you for this video. Us fellow crafters appreciate it 🥰

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad to have found you :) A friend was telling me about the glitter pens, so, I came to youtube, typed it in search and POOF! there you are with such awesome videos on how to create these beauties AND I am glad you did this second video; first one I could barely hear you and speakers were at 100% :( This one was much easier to hear :) You do a FANTASTIC job in teaching us how to do this!!

Ty. Now I want to make some for my Stone Frog hobby on my fb page !!! Can't wait
I was wondering how long you have to wait for these to cure before you can use them?? Do they need the same amount of time a cup would to completely cure seeing as how you're using epoxy? I'm just now getting into these pens........always a bit late to the party ...that's me!! .LOL! But these are so easy after watching your videos over and over. I've watched a few others but I like the way you teach this in your tutorial. I have watched your other videos too and have also subscribed. Thank you for sharing this. I can't wait to get started!
Aww! Thank you so much! 🥰 Better late than never! 😜 You should always wait the recommended 72 hours to allow the epoxy to fully cure so that it isn't toxic.. same with the Tumblers. Hi Kristi! I need your advice....What is a good price to sell these pens?
Hey there!!! I sell mine for $8 just plain glitter and $10 with personalization. The leopard pens are also $10 because they have vinyl on them. 😊

I love watching you work! Awesome video and the pens are beautiful
Thank you so much! 🥰
Hi, just curious. Do you have to spin them?? With so little epoxy on them can’t you just hang to dry like on a tumbler with the glitter epoxy method.
These are beautiful by the way ☺️☺️
Thank you! I think that if you did the hang method they probably wouldn't turn out as smooth. By spinning the pens, it lets the Epoxy spin around the cup as it dries, leaving a glass like surface.
Any suggestions on how to do this if we don’t have the full setup with something that can continuously spin them ?
I’m so glad I came across your video. This was definitely helpful I’m new at making pens. I just love this tutorial. Out of all the video I been watching yours is very detailed & well organized
Love this! Do you have the dimensions you used for your name & leopard prints?
Measurements for the names are .5"x4" and for the leopard print it's 1.5"x2"
Kristi's Custom Creations what font did you use!!! Fantastic tutorial!!! Just subscribed!!
@@joygarrison450 thank you!! The font is called "I love glitter" from dafont.com 😊

@@joygarrison450 if you put this symbol " | " (it's like a straight line) then it will give you the hearts 🥰
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! Very informative and easy to follow! Also, thank you so much for showing how to put the pen back together because that was my biggest fear in these pens 🤣🤣
Lol!!!!! You're very welcome!!!! 🥰
This was very informative, Thank you. I’m going to try my hand at some pens tomorrow. I have the same work bench for my turners. Can I ask where your silicon mats are from?
I purchased my silicone mats on Amazon, there's actually a link to them in the description box. They came in a pack of 4.. they are seriously the best thing! They help catch glitter and keep things from getting too messy.
Can I ask where you got turners?
Thank you so much for sharing! I just recently started making tumblers and I wanna try pens because someone asked me and your way was the easiest to understand 🙃 thank you
So I don't have a turner arm that would hold the pens. Can I do hang method or use all uv resin instead of regular epoxy?
I'm not sure how to hang method would work because with the pens spinning, and makes the epoxy super smooth. Also, I haven't tried UV resin. I don't think that UV resin is self-leveling, so I'm not sure if it would work. But if you do decide to try it with UV resin, please let me know how it works out.
Thank you so much for posting this video and sharing your talent, how to, and suggestions on your process! I found this the most helpful video I’ve seen yet. Thank you again for sharing with all our fellow crafters. I’m new to this and going to attempt my first set of pens today or this weekend!
Hi, Thank you so much for your video. I'm just starting out so I'm not sure how much you would charge for a Glitter Pen. Could you help me out with a guide??
I currently charge $10 each for the pens.. if someone wants a very intricate design then I would charge more
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you! 🥰
What’s the size for the decals you did? I’m learning.
The names are one half inch by 4 in and the leopard print is approximately 1.5 in by 2 in. You may have to adjust the size of the leopard print slightly though depending on how thick your epoxy / glitter is.
Thank you for the great tips, I am a newbie and need all the help I can get!😊
