Great one Cammy! I love watching the mix of banter, hard work, the chemistry of the young to adult personalities and wonderful animals ❤And bravo to the beautiful video at the end!
Yes! The video by Als at the end is amazing. Long hot incredibly productive day, so much all in here. Lizzy the legend doing her part as always keeping everyone going and well taken care of.
Listening to the song "Africa", which was a huge #1 hit in Asia, by the American band Toto, while watching some Scots sheer huge sheep, and a German being smashing help, is a truly cathartic relaxing experience, and the definition of the internet in 2023.
What did you say 600 sheep to shear? Wow. Glad to see your wearing sun crème as you call it. Can’t say Cammy;s afraid of hard work. Love to you and all your hard working buddies. The lunch macaroni with bacon and chicken sounds delicious. 👍🙏💕
The champion still has what it takes. 😊 My back hurts watching you young lads. I am glad you are wearing a sun hat and are keeping your fluid intake up. Safety first.
Those sheep sure are in lovely condition and such a uniform flock. Must be nice to shear sheep and find a healthy fit animal under the wool. Great video "Als".
Budweiser… 😝 but after a day like that I’m sure it was ambrosia. Love the montage at the end. Thanks for the video. And you being such a dad with the “sun cream” reminders. Haha.
Those sheep look so calm and cool in the hands of the shearers, it makes me more relaxed! My cats protest more when I trim their claws, and they have the procedure quite often. It looks kinda dangerous to have the sun beam onto you the whole day. Especially with everyone having very fair skin. And it must be just hot working there under the direct sun. There must be some way to erect a simple tent to protect from the sun. Be careful, you are precious.
Great video... thanks for sharing today with us! Bravo on wearing a hat!! I used to run and do dog events outside in the sun. They sell all kinds of cooling clothes etc. I used to swear by a cooling neck towel. You dunk it in water and it gets really cold. Saved me many times! You guys work so hard and you always make me smile!
Great craic ,great team and fantastic sheep .that's tough going especially with a big batch early in the season and with 150 big boys to finish ..and love the 'start with the cream and down the way from there ' sums up how we all feel when we view a great flock of sheep .
First one here, yay! Love your channel, big job, very organized and professional! Best thing is the sheep don’t look distressed and you handle them with care!Thank you for sharing and have a great day! New York City here!
Hi Mark to confirm 🙌, yes the smoke was pretty bad, but we handled it like storm troopers!!! Your mother sounds awesome BTW! Peace and blessings, Thulani
Who else is wondering what the recipe is for that pasta chicken bacon salad that Lizzy made is? 😋😋😋 I love this channel, everything about it... The sheep, Cammy's quick wit and vast knowledge about everything he does, Lizzy being Super Woman and being able to still help run a sheep farm, do everything required, all while raising 2 beautiful littles, and of course the littles, Jock and Angus. You guys are amazing!!! Thank you for all you do!!!
Great video as always, Cammy! ❤Great to see Marissa. The video at the end was great. Love the slo-mo and of course the drone shots! You guys are amazing! ❤The sheep being sheared by Mr. Blue shirt looked like he/she was smiling. 😂 Were you guys listening to Toto’s song “Africa” or was I hearing things? ❤
I thought how apt it is to use the metaphor of sheep in terms of following a political idea or such as i watched these complacent sheep being handled, trusting, and obeying the flow.
Now I know why there are so many shearing sheds in Australia. Working out in that direct sun for all those house has to be a health hazard, let alone the strain on your back. I take my hat of to all of you guys. Love that short video at the end,
Those guys are fast! I notice there aren’t any old guys sheering sheep, it has to be hard on the back. I’m 72 I know I couldn’t do that. I love watching, I live in the hills of West Virginia so I know that raising sheep would be out of the question but, I love watching. Coal mining was what WV did for a living but climate change has done away with that for our men.
Morning to you Sir .. as always beautiful sharing adventure documentary updated resume countryside content video and you doing an excellent great job .. keep it up Sir .. have a wonderful blessing weekend to you and your beautiful family over there, take care and stay safe .. Merci beaucoup Monsieur
Well done guys that looked hard work and with the baking sun it must have been so much harder brilliant job that beer was very well deserved. What happens to all the wool ?
Thank you for showing us how professional sheep sheering is done. I am wondering were you buy your sheers and what the brand name is???I own 3 sheep and would like to buy some sheers. Thanks
I have a question. Does this wool get used for anything? It looks rather coarse and matted? If it doesn't, why not have hair meat breeds of sheep, so you don't have to worry about shearing or flystrike, and they don't have to put energy into growing wool, so would gain weight faster?
I know you’re speaking English but I’ll be darned if I can make it out through your thick Scottish accent. But it is so melodic and rhythmic it is a joy to listen! 😬
✌️we are 32C today. 90 degrees Fahrenheit in middle Georgia USA. Quite sweltering 😂 Dang Cammy, I bet the sheep feel so much better with out all that wool on them too. Doesn’t that black hat retain the heat and make your head hotter?
I worry about you Scotsman with your fair complexions in the sun. I might need to send you some zinc like the Australian cricketers wear. It lasts a bit longer on your skin so it doesn't get sweated off as easily as regular sunscreen. Problem is by the time is by the time it there from Australia, shearing season will be over. I'm glad you've got a tarp for future shearing endeavours now to help keep the sun at bay a bit. ❤
Why is that paddock loose stones instead of grass or concrete? Also a question about the Hedge rows have those always been used that way or is a relatively new think to do. I seems like a great way to separate fields and probably decreases your need for fencing.
So loose stones are great because they drain well and stay clean without any input. Also cheaper than concrete. The hedges have several functions, mainly to make fencing easier back in the day but also to prevent wind blowing off top soil, shelter for animals from wind and sun. Also a great habitat for birds and other wildlife. 👍
Cammy I don’t know how you guy’s do so many in one day & can still walk, I would literally have a broken back 😊
He’s still just a boy
He supervises that much doesn't actually sheer many 😂
MY BACK IS BROKEN JUST WATCHING LOL
Bless you for asking eveyone if they had suncream on.
That poor sheep was having a nice wee nap in the wool before she got disturbed 😉
Great one Cammy! I love watching the mix of banter, hard work, the chemistry of the young to adult personalities and wonderful animals ❤And bravo to the beautiful video at the end!
Thank you so much Cammy. 🙏💜
Great to see a Masterclass and a group of professionals at work... Oh, you were there too, Cammy?
😜 Go on yersel! Great stuff! 👍
🤣thanks
Yes! The video by Als at the end is amazing. Long hot incredibly productive day, so much all in here. Lizzy the legend doing her part as always keeping everyone going and well taken care of.
Shearing and my favorite song, Africa. Gotta love it! Great work Cammy!
Listening to the song "Africa", which was a huge #1 hit in Asia, by the American band Toto, while watching some Scots sheer huge sheep, and a German being smashing help, is a truly cathartic relaxing experience, and the definition of the internet in 2023.
As a spinner it is amazing to watch you guys shear such beautiful fleeces! We need more shearers in the USA. It is a dying art!
What did you say 600 sheep to shear? Wow. Glad to see your wearing sun crème as you call it. Can’t say Cammy;s afraid of hard work. Love to you and all your hard working buddies. The lunch macaroni with bacon and chicken sounds delicious. 👍🙏💕

Thank him for the great video please really liked it. Good shearing on the texels there Cammy.
Budweiser… 😝 but after a day like that I’m sure it was ambrosia. Love the montage at the end. Thanks for the video. And you being such a dad with the “sun cream” reminders. Haha.
Oh I’m in agony just watching all this bending omg your poor back …… your are a wonderful provider for your family Cammy ❤
Those sheep look so calm and cool in the hands of the shearers, it makes me more relaxed! My cats protest more when I trim their claws, and they have the procedure quite often.

I'm sure that beer 🍺 🍻 went down well considering the combination of all that back breaking work and super hot day. Well done guys
Sheep will feel so much better. Good video as always.
That final vídeo was 🤌🏻 you guys look fierce and the sheep incredible!
The aerial video is amazing. The rest was great. So much eye candy. At one point I felt I should pull out the ones.😂
Your finger looks a lot better, another 6 months it’ll be all healed. The video at the end was magnificent.
Loved every second of this…I felt I could have a go at shearing…especially from those tips by the world master😊
Just found your channel and enjoy watching it. Blessings to you and your loved ones for such hard work!
First one here, yay! Love your channel, big job, very organized and professional! Best thing is the sheep don’t look distressed and you handle them with care!Thank you for sharing and have a great day! New York City here!
Big up the Big Apple! (My mom was born there). Hope the wildfire smoke isn't too bad. Peace and love from Scotland. Mark
Thanks very much!! Well done if you can understand me!😅
Hi Mark to confirm 🙌, yes the smoke was pretty bad, but we handled it like storm troopers!!! Your mother sounds awesome BTW! Peace and blessings, Thulani

Y’all live in a beautiful part of the world! The drone shots are just glorious!❤❤❤
I feel so lucky!
Who is the oldest man or woman still shearing? This is all amazing. Enjoy watching and learning a bit. Thank you.
I swear that one ewe was watching in a very serious manner as her fellow Ewe was used in the shearing technique demonstration 😂
I noticed her too! She was watching everything! Probably critiquing 😂😂❤❤
I love watching when ppl still learn something new or from another person W experience it hits home better..
That looks hard work.well done to you all❤
Now that’s a hard day’s work!
Also just proved that counting sheep doesn’t work. It’s 2am where I am at the moment and I can’t fall asleep 😂
Thanks for watching before bed 🤣
Al's got some real talent in making videos! And you shearers... I can feel your aching backs at the end of this! Great video, Cammy. Thanks
It always gets me, how complacent the sheep are when you set them back on their butts and
back.
I thought how apt it is to use the metaphor of sheep in terms of following a political idea or such as i watched these complacent sheep being handled, trusting, and obeying the flow.
That first advice was excellent
Great video Cammy aye that is some days work you deserve a beer after that 👏💪👌
Love watching the shearing. Why don’t you rig up some kind of shade for the shearers? Wouldn’t that help?
Now I know why there are so many shearing sheds in Australia. Working out in that direct sun for all those house has to be a health hazard, let alone the strain on your back. I take my hat of to all of you guys. Love that short video at the end,
We try to avoid it where we can.
Lizzie the Legend. ❤

A boy Cammy another good video 👍.
Some days shearing lads, put in a serious shift, well done.
I bet that budweiser was the nicest you've ever had 😂
Lizzy is a good cook too? What a legend!
That video at the end was epic! Hope you all recovered alright.
A hard days work for sure. You all are amazing!
Well done guys that looked hard work and with the baking sun it must have been so much harder brilliant job that beer was very well deserved. What happens to all the wool ?
Fantastic job Cammy! Thank you. ❤️🇦🇺🏴
Thanks
Thanks Jill! You are too kind!
Great video, thanks Cammy and team. 👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great work!! That’s a hot, strenuous job. You’re champs!
Loved the video, well done to you all for shearing in that heat, not many would of done that
Good Toto music to shear sheep with. I like it.
Some buzz! Kushty mate 👍
The last part of the video was class👍
Amazing job. I'm exhausted just watching 👀.
I love how you guys listen to old American rock too. ❤
Wow great drone shots. Cammy you looked knackered lol😂😂
17 degrees here in the Australian winter is a pretty cool day.
Jeepers that’s a lot of sheep to shear and then you had the tups to finish off - we’re you tempted to call Lizzy 😂
Northumberland, my own county. Best place in the world
Am from Hoof GP vid of your first trim. Lesgooo
Thank you for showing us how professional sheep sheering is done. I am wondering were you buy your sheers and what the brand name is???I own 3 sheep and would like to buy some sheers. Thanks
What good girls the sheep are
Budweiser the queen of beers
🤣🤣🤣 i thought that was just Bud light
It will be interesting to see if you add his hints to your dance!
I have a question. Does this wool get used for anything? It looks rather coarse and matted?
If it doesn't, why not have hair meat breeds of sheep, so you don't have to worry about shearing or flystrike, and they don't have to put energy into growing wool, so would gain weight faster?
I am a new subscriber. How do you organize your time between your farm and shearing sheep for others?
You guys are crispy critters!
How long was your day of shearing. Love the Channel
Nice wee compilation at the end of the video very well done
always luv yer vids!🦌💌❤️🐑
You men worked almost as hard as Lizzy did while in labor, lol. I'm interested in the pasta recipe, wonder if she would share? :)
Didn't understand a thing except the Toto song... 😂
I saw the Budweiser and thought, Scotland must not be boycotting!!!
🤣 I know the story but we’re Scottish we buy based on price 🤣
You need corks on your hat to keep the flys away 😅
Who gets to pick what music you listen to? I heard Huey Lewis & Toto... rocking the 1980s!
Shearing the tups late in the day when you were tired must have been murder. Hope your back is doing ok!
Sorry for asking a nosey question ahead time. How much per sheep you charge? Love your sense of humor 😂. Relax from Charleston SC USA
£1.50 👍
Enjoy watching your videos, question: what kind of shoe do you wear when shearing? Look a bit like Moccasins, !
I know you’re speaking English but I’ll be darned if I can make it out through your thick Scottish accent. But it is so melodic and rhythmic it is a joy to listen! 😬
Thanks Cecilia!! I’ve been told it gets easier the more u listen😁
✌️we are 32C today. 90 degrees Fahrenheit in middle Georgia USA. Quite sweltering 😂 Dang Cammy, I bet the sheep feel so much better with out all that wool on them too. Doesn’t that black hat retain the heat and make your head hotter?
I constantly fill it with cold water then put it back on😅
It's terrible in Texas too! 107 on Monday 🥵 Plus we've had record hail here. Cantaloupe size!!
Cammy you need to put some of that zinc on your nose as well. How do you keep from having back pain from Shering?
Looked like that 1 didn't touch sides😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂❤
Is it some crazy Scottish tradition to always finish with the big tups or just one final kick in the sack for the shearers?
Better to get injured once most of the work has been done rather than at the start of the day😅
I think the followers would like to see the wool press working don’t forget the double click now ha ha
Oh Cammie, is that sunburn?
This is a stupid question but what happens to the little bits of wool that are lieing about?
I worry about you Scotsman with your fair complexions in the sun. I might need to send you some zinc like the Australian cricketers wear. It lasts a bit longer on your skin so it doesn't get sweated off as easily as regular sunscreen. Problem is by the time is by the time it there from Australia, shearing season will be over. I'm glad you've got a tarp for future shearing endeavours now to help keep the sun at bay a bit. ❤
Thanks! I’ve got the tarp for next time we’re out in the elements😅
Do the sheep get sunburned after they are sheared?
Which sheep breed has the best fleece?
Ou guys need a portable sheering shade shack…ie a big tent that comes up and down on poles
Cammy, get the spray on sun screen.!!!!!
The way he tucked that head between his legs makes me wonder if a sheep has ever taken a bite between the legs????😂😂😂
On Cammy's shearing channel a ram with horns almost finished any chance for future wee Cammys.
@@westzed23 Lol! I did see that! 😅😅 Glad he didn't! Cammy and Lizzy make some cute babies!!
They nip my underarm sometimes but i think they like the salty sweat😅
@@TheSheepGame 🤦♀️😅🤣😅🤣
Would it not make more sense to do the tups first given their size, or are you on your tenth wind by that point 💪
Don’t want a shearer getting injured then we’re a man down all day😅
Jesus Christ, that’s some work you all had to get through, and you got the big tups last, that made me chuckle…….
It must feel good to have all that wool off. It looks hard to do with them wiggling.
Only 1 is allowed here in Northern Utah too. The rest of the US can usually have up to 3!
