Technically, it’s the fault of that person who told the taxi to go to Level 3 instead of Level 1.
It was unfair that he took taxi in the first place. If Nicki took the taxi as well, he would’ve been much faster
Clearly a Nicky fan who saw Liam's name and wanted to screw him over.
Great video! Once again it's also showing how a train is superior for these types of trips.
Great race! These Train Vs Plane videos are my favourite!
I always hope for Liam! I love these competitions
Sush a great race Nicky & Liam! I really do love this format - it's unique, compelling and informative. Please keep doing what you love and enjoy. Stay passionate. Hello from London : - )
Nice video, loved watching it. Keep making new videos like this!
These are always a fantastic watch well done guys keep up the great work
Love watching these.
So sorry you had to endure Manchester Airport Liam. It's an absolute hole and that flight is regularly late 😂
I flew to and from Manchester some years ago, couldn’t agree more hahah. Return trip took off with a massive delay and there was nothing we could do in the meantime.
@@stefanotrevisan9376 Starting to not even trust 3+ hour connections in Heathrow with that now. If I must, I fly down the night before. T3 is grim with all those Ryanair flights as well, there aren't enough facilities.
Went through last week. 15 mins security and 1 min for Passover E-Gate. New seating upstairs makes a big difference.
how dare you
Nice it's a closer one please do more races and airline reviews
Great video. Driving between the two stadiums might have been quite quick too.
Love these guys
Liam being a West Ham fans really shocked me😢. They are still around after they robbed Fiorentina
Fun as always
The area around Old Trafford is so beautiful. I miss living in Manchester. Would take Avanti into London to work. Video has made me terribly homesick haha
Was at the Cricket at Old Trafford last Friday. Beforehand I took my Dad around the Salford Quays and in to the War Museum. He thought it was like the City of the Future but in the present.
Love it!
Good vid LIAM get your game on do not let the cheeky nicky get over your streak
Always on the side "the one who is taking the train"
Its not how fast you run to the airport or the train station. Unless you are leaving like at the last second. The only part realistic about the race is how fast can you get from airport or train station to the destination
Yeah makes no sense to run to and at the airport when you know exactly when your plane's gonna leave.
They should at least compare the travel times at the end, then this would make some sense.
are you fun at parties?
Really enjoy these race videos, I have a suggestion of a race you guys could do, a West Coast Mainline vs Chiltern Line race between London and Birmingham (or vice versa) one goes from Euston to New Street and the other from Maryleborne to Moor Street (or vice versa), would be interesting to see how those journeys compare :)
5:32 👌
My man.
Liam NOLUWDC, great video lads
Great video
I know the video/format is just a bit of fun, but I'm not sure the "journeys" are really comparable when one person took taxis and the other person took the tram/tube.
I think they choose the mode of transport that they deem is faster.
Train trips to London are the best
Thankyou for the video
Love it
You must have bought that train ticket well in advance to get it at that price. Most of the time is £90 off peak return in standard
Shoutout to the guy in the cold open who recognised you!
£35 from Old Trafford to Manchester Airport?? Wow thats pricy, I did the exact same but got an Uber and it cost £11.
Great video very interesting race
Or take the tram, but it's rather slow going through Wythenshawe
3:59 I see Liam on a plane and the word ‘Pluffy’ appears in my mind, irrespective of the flight he’s on.
I love these race videos but I do feel that the use of taxis is a bit of a cheat
The dispatcher that told the taxi driver level 3 instead of level one cost Liam the race.....but, these snaffus do happen and need to be calculated for.
I like when u do the plane reviews
Welcome to Manchester!
Woo delighted that public transport won! Cheaper too
You guys can add some detours and roladblocks just like The Amazing Race
I thought for sure Liam would win 😂
Wow
Awesome lads love watching your clips . But he should still train from airport not taxi
Thanks for the pricing!
COYI!!!
Love your videos😄!
Don't know if anything will come of it, but I thought you guys know about travel and maybe you can answer this for me:
Do you have any insider tips on where to stay in London for cheap?
My girlfriend and I would love to come to London for New Year's Eve after Christmas, but we don't have that much money. Preferably not a shared bedroom, of course. I know it's probably going to be difficult then, but I thought with a channel that's from there and knows about travel, I could try asking. 😅🤷🏼♂️
Stay somewhere outside and commute in. Travel is cheap and fast into the centre. Would suggest somewhere like Stevenage/Milton Keynes/Southend. Avoid Slough/Reading/Crawley (as someone who's from the Ding hahahaha)
Everywhere in London is so expensive. Smaller places and with no air conditioning is cheaper
You should do a race the length of the UK train v plane.
Ok, I know that you can't get a plane from John O'Groats so it would have to be Inverness or Aberdeen.
Equally there are no airports at Lands End, so therefore it would need to be somewhere like Exeter or Southampton.
The other race that you could do, especially with the Euro 2024 from Germany coming up in mind would be to race from a London landmark such as Big Ben to Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
25 minute delay taking off 😂 you do realise that the flight is only 20 mins.
Very surprised how close this was. Everything in me would say the train would be cheaper, more convenient and much faster.
It would have been much faster if Nicky had to use public transport instead of taxis.
It's all staged. Have you noticed that all their races are this close. I mean 45 secs difference????? pffff yeah right!
Usually Liam wins but so far it seems even footing ⚽️😂 Nicky did win the last race and he did also take the train 🚂
Do London to Newcastle
When you got to Euston could of just got London Overground from Euston to Wembley?
but then wembley central is not quite wembley park.
@@spikey0034 true. And it's alittle bit more of a walk and whenever I'm there it's crazy busy
How about a race from Beijing to Shanghai Plane vs Train
“I’ve got 5 minutes, have I?” - Me telling myself to wake up after 5 minutes.
Video Idea: Interrail by Train, Travel bus and Plane (Ryanair) 100£ per day and needs to go to a new Destination every day
nice
Liam you know why west ham are called the hammers it’s because they get hammered every time in the PL jk love your vids😂😂
Now do Northern Scotland to Southern England. Perhaps something like Inverness - Bournemouth would be doable? 😉 #challengeyourself
those portacabin gates in Manchester are grim, and if its a warm day they are like an oven.
Theatre of nightmares at the moment, a well deserved title. It was a good race.
Who won the footrace to the top of the stairs? I am guessing Nicky.
5:32
Can you revieuw the German Railways?
Berlin to Munich would be epic
Why didn’t Liam land at city. There aren’t any flights from Manchester?
Even further away?
And alot more expensive.
Do Etihad aka Emptihad to Stamford Bridge, St-James Park to London Stadium or Anfield to the Emirates Arena or Tottenham Hotspur Stadium or both.
Once josh Cahill said when tipsy that there is nothing more dump than Liam spencer
#COYS
This really felt like nothing happened not going to lie.
Love the channel and love these videos but this one didn’t feel right.
I think Liam might have underestimated the size of Manchester airport, it's huge.
Forget Gatwick in my own opinion Manchester is the next biggest airport in the UK after Heathrow.
No, it is definately gatwick.
@@jimbo6059 Manchester has three terminals and two runways
AND GATWICK is the busiest single runway airport in the world again. With two terminals and more passenger throughput.
Dont know if they read their comments or if they said it anywhere,
Have they ever started filming a similar challenge but one of them miss their train/plane ?
That would be jokes to have some behind the scenes 😁
I'd like to have seen how a car would have fared against public transport.
why was one allowed to get a taxi to airport but you weren't allowed to get taxi to mcr piccadilly ?
Unlucky Nicky just missed his Tube connection.
Should have caught Chiltern Railway from Marylebone
Now do a race from Raymond James Stadium to TIAA field
Back to travel on avanti in first class for free? Be in a wheelchair and book your assistance first and hope there are two other wheelies on board so you get to use the first class space. Happened a few times for me and you get all the food and drinks and perks of first class for no extra money. 😊
think it's because airports are on the edge whereas train stations are in the city
Hi, Great video as always. I would like to know if you could do another 4-class Emirates video comparing, Dubai to San Fransisco ( 15 hours ). But this time switch it around a little. First class and economy switch and Premium and business switch, as in the people in the video. I would love to see that as my dream is to be a pilot flying the a380 either working for BA or Emirates, (preferably Emirates), for a few different reasons. If this video was made I would 100% like and share this video with all my friends and ask them to subscribe. Thanks for the video from Edinburgh to London though personally, I hate football (sorry). Doing that Emirates video would really entertain and mean a lot to me.
The folk of Manchester need to take a leaf out of Londoners books and stand to the side on the escalator if they aren’t walking!
They do indeed.
They need an underground system of their own so they can learn
Should of used black cab saved u time as no waiting for Scooby
Where the car though. Missed out the most popular form of transportation in the UK and the cheapest !
COME ON YOU IRONS
Are u in London
Why would anyone fly from Manchester to London when it is more expensive, (slightly) slower and with a seriously greater carbon footprint?
The brand new A320neo aircraft that British Airways use on that flight are pretty low on the carbon footprint - but granted more expensive.
Still way more polluting than the train@@christianhodson4763
@@christianhodson4763compared to a fully electric train though?!
Normally it's just a connecting flight, otherwise most would get the train
@@emmar3006You would be surprised to see how many people actually take that flight for commuting.
Why didn’t you get the tram or train to the airport
To keep it competitive. If he had to take the tram and then the tube he would probably have been nearly 2 hours later than Nicky arriving at Wembley.
This was a little bit unfair.
Why did Nicky get to take a taxi to and from both airports??
The Manchester Metrolink runs to Manchester Airport and the tube runs from Heathrow to Wembley.
But, if Nicky had to take the Metrolink to Manchester Airport and the tube to Wembley he would probably have been 2 hours later than Liam.
The convience of the train is that it departs and arrives from the city centre.
Why does this flight even exist??
Uhhhh but nicky took the tram and the tube in this race
I think who u meant was liam not nicky
If you want to get to the airport it's way quicker to get the train from Piccadilly than get the tram
Now do a race from Wembley to Hampden Park (Twickenham to Murrayfield in time for next year's six nations)
Word of the Day: ‘Snackaroo’
Who in their right mind flies manchester to london
Connecting passengers using Heathrow to fly further
who was watching the Camera at the end? it's gonna get swiped like that.
Would also be interesting to see the comparative carbon footprint of each journey. That said, I can see why you'd want/need to fly if you had an awkwardly scheduled cup final at Wembley.
I actually cant see why anyone would fly from Manchester to London, unless its a connecting flight
*Just outside Manchester to London.
Old Trafford to London: a common journey for man United fans
pretty apt to review the quickest way to london for united fans lol
I suppose they need time to digest their prawn sandwiches.
Unless the saving is hours definitely not worth getting on w plane
Videos like these truly highlight how interesting the domestic market is for the UK. Matt’s Planet just did a video talking about Manchester. No surprise it is not very well connected as compared to London, there’s a lot less people that live there. But I am surprised that Manchester is so poor in terms of flight options, Ryanair is it’s biggest customer. So when Ryanair eventually do launch flights from Manchester to the US I would like to see a video.
I mean that is kinda true for a lot of cities. A countries second largest or third largest cities and so forth don’t tend to be as connected as its largest. For example Paris gets a lions share of all the international flights compared to Lyon and Marseille; Sydney gets a lot more attention compared to Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth; Tokyo’s two airports has more flights than Osaka and Nagoya. I could go on but there’s just a few examples
Ryan air will never launch flights to the US or any long haul destination. It's not their business model
It’s a lot better than Birmingham for flight options. The demise of Thomas Cook and Flyby did not help and certain routes were hit by the pandemic but coming back. The difficulty other English Airports over Heathrow is a lot traffic originates in the UK where as with London a huge amount originates overseas thus providing many more destination with direct flights. Manchester’s only example outside Europe is probably China though Pakistan would be on that list is PIA were not banned.
£25 one way for more space is not worth it. You’d want some free food and drink thrown in.
Geez £170 is steep.
8:52 Who won this race? 🤩
so if Nicky had gone in the normal train cabin, Liam's overall cost would have been more than a £100 more expensive? doesn't seem worth it to me
Most wouldn’t get a cab from Heathrow either, usually people would use trains.
3:51 your flying from Manchester to Manchester
you’re
A320 vs class 390🧐
