just think about it, rogue had barely any menus, everything you did and your interactions with the world were organic, no spamming your training tools, no power levels, no actual stats + a lot of hidden lore and mysteries that deepwoken still doesn't have yet. Here's hoping the devs will finally get done with the PvP balancing and focus on the lore more.

@@henry.08216 the death system being like rogue ISN'T the fix just make the trial more scary/harder rogue death system was very flawed it was especially harder for people who couldn't clip and the only way tpo get a life back was by getting a RARE artifact which isn't a problem for people with big houses or exploiting bank alts. also rogue feeels and IS more unbalanced like faceless macro, deepwoken isn't balanced but there isn't faceless macro, even corrupted crypr wind up u can dodge or parry it
I know it would be better to let the game rest in peace, but I would really like it to be worked on. Rag or Arch don't even have to be doing it either. There still is some unfinished stuff in the game
i wish i could go back in time not only to experience the initial release of rogue, but maybe if i could get tester i could go and investigate all of these mysteries. its unrealistic but all of this is so interesting and its sad that unless the devs do some kind of infodump itll remain unknown forever

It gave you 4x defense at night but during the day you'd be far more frail and take 2x damage. (The hunt was rigged and Raguza ((Ragoozer)) ended up getting it. Xamn you used my video for Jester's Ruse 😍😳 The old uber sigil moves were based off of specs that were going to be added into Tales and the ideas were already designed but since the Ilyria faction was removed the specs were never added.

I wasn't actually there for old rogue (I joined right after they switched the Gui) because my family was struggling with money, but I remember going to my friend's house and watching them play. I even found my current best friend because I attacked him for grips. overall rogue was a truly special game that just doesn't hit the same anymore I wish I could have bought the game sooner so that I could have experienced it all firsthand instead of watching other play it.

Rewatching this, I always got kind of annoyed that so much content got removed for seemingly no reason. I understand that at the time that most of this happened, rogue was an amateur developer side project but seriously, so much of this is really interesting to hear about. From poison respirare, to scroom gate, to almost every unobtainable thing in the game, it's a shame that so much was scrapped when so much time had been put into it.
Rouge ganking was way more chaotic and nerve wracking due to the lives system and just how unbalanced the game was. But it had that special feeling that I feel like deepwoken is missing.

Nah, the progression was slow; you had to wait and do random things for an hour before continuing your progression most of the time for mana climb. You then had to train it for a good 20 min. Then, you had to trinket grind for 1-2 hours depending on how lucky you get. And then finally get to the fun part which is doing your class quest, unless it was a low orderly class which only req tespians. That was all for maybe super. This was for the average solo players. Maybe a good player could do this all in 2 hours alone, but yeah
it felt more like rust, everything was extremely rewarding and dying was extremely painful. for perspective, on the black markets, deepwoken's escape depths service is worth less than 1$, while rogue lineage's pheonix down (artifact that gave u 1 life back) was worth 5$, more than the game itself.

Nah, the progression was slow; you had to wait and do random things for an hour before continuing your progression most of the time for mana climb. You then had to train it for a good 20 min. Then, you had to trinket grind for 1-2 hours depending on how lucky you get. And then finally get to the fun part which is doing your class quest, unless it was a low orderly class which only req tespians. That was all for maybe super. This was for the average solo players. Maybe a good player could do this all in 2 hours alone, but yeah
it felt more like rust, everything was extremely rewarding and dying was extremely painful. for perspective, on the black markets, deepwoken's escape depths service is worth less than 1$, while rogue lineage's pheonix down (artifact that gave u 1 life back) was worth 5$, more than the game itself.

Rogue was very fun, but gaia dwellers just ruin the gameplay

@@w0omer As far as I know rouge came out 2019 (It was probably created earlier but the place was made at some point in 2019) Arcane Adventures came you 2015 so that game existed before rouge was even a thing.

I really wish Deepwoken had the personality that rogue did. Rogue was so gritty and all the areas are unique and special but deepwoken just feels too colorful and lacks variety tbh
