I was asking God (Higher Powers) to unblock me and remind me of when I was confident in my skills and to let me know why I'm blocking myself in my current career. Then I clicked on RUclips, saw Lyle and Pat in your thumbnail and the title and began to sob (sorry, my nose is still running) then I clicked play and sobbed all through your stellar performance. thank you, Mark, for your kind words. in fact, transcribing is just one side of the coin - i'm trying to find ways to translate the band sound of the pmg into a solo piano context, which means that the arrangement - esp. the left hand - largely differs from what Lyle was playing in the pmg. thanx again, best, andy
This is amazing, I've always been a big fan of Pat Metheny's music. My dad would always play his CDs when we went to the beach when I was a little kid, and so all my life I've related the music of the Pat Metheny Group to the breeze of the beach on a sunny day in the middle of the day, always brings me good memories. Do you think that you could do an arrangement of "Minuano" from the album "Still Life Talking" please? It's personally my favorite piece of Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays.
