Great video as always from Britec, however, you seemed to have glossed over a few big problems, which I am guessing most people who follow your steps will encounter. After installing this setup, you have several major problems of which there does not seem to be any documentation or support:
1) Mouse is a mess. It does not track. You have 2 (host and guest) pointers which wander all over the place and makes the Android desktop virtually unusable. I found the same when implementing the this setup under vmware. This is usually fixed by installing vmware tools (the vbox equivalent is guest additions).
The problem is, I have not found any way to install either of these for android. They simply will not install from an ISO. Yours seems to work fine. What have you done?
2) Neither of the 2 audio device emulators seem to work for Android (Intel HD or AC97). Again probably a driver/VM tools issue.
3) The same applies to wifi. I can connect a Jabra 802.11 dongle via USB removable device, but it is not supported by android and I find no documentation for which dongle(s) will work. I did not see wifi work in your presentation.
One more thing. How do you change the screen resolution of the guest?
This. The mouse especially. It's not really any point to the whole affair if you can't control things. Did anyone solve it?
I LOVE that you tell what to do in the tutorial so i can do it whitout looking on the video all the time.
Every time i reach the stage where it gives me the option between choosing to fresh install or copy data from device , i get a pop-up reading google play services has stopped working

When I start the machine after installation, the 4 options comes as shown in the video , the first option gets selected automatically after 5 seconds after that it loads and after that a blank screen with cursor keeps on showing..
What to do?
All things are work properly,but after installation app (google play store) does not open...please solve this problem..

After following these steps I have problems with play store crashing over and over, like "Google play services keep stopping" and so on. What to do?

After installing i boot it up it shows the x86:/ then goes black with the text cursor sitting in the top left and does nothing. Does anyone know whats going on here. I cant find a solution online.

I think if we enable PS/2 MOUSE pointer in settings, it's in motherboard area I think, it also allows us to use mouse..
Edit: I think we can without it also by selecting Input>Mouse Integration.. but there may be difference

Disable it clock and enable 3d acceleration android will be somewhat unstable but it will work I think

OK, not sure what happened. Install seems to have gone OK, but once I click start, I get a screen which states UEFI Interactive Shell v2.1

and then some other junk. At the bottom it states Press ESC in "X" seconds to skip startup.nsh or any other key to continue. I let it count to and the screen just goes to Shell>
I never get the option to select to start Android 8.1 as shown at 8:04 in the video. Its as if it doesn't get any operating system start command.

So it IS possible to put a blank drive into a PC or laptop, and without installing Windows and Virtual Box, you can install Android DIRECTLY to the hard drive, and have that be the only OS the computer will have?
nakyer yes. The prompts will nearly the same for formatting the sda hard drive and GRUB boot loader. Just do a little research to burn the iso to cd so it’s bootable.

Hello. After follow every step and its time to select install android.... the terminal black screen occur and it seems its install something but its reboot and installation screen popup again so the "choose partion" never occcur, any idea what the problem is?

I was unable to make android work on Virtualbox 6 but it runs fine on 5.2

The idea is very cool and more creative than android emulators like nox, but duo it's impossible to get a way to install virtualbox video drivers/guest additions, it's a very laggy experience and most of my 3d applications just can't, run... Fix maybe?!
Keeps refreshing at the “set up as new user” menu. I press on it and it loads but does nothing. and I press it again and loads then does nothing can’t seem to figure it out or can’t connect to WiFi or google without it crashing and saying app not responding. Enable virtualisation in bios.
Open an admin command prompt and run:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
Restart. This worked for me.

You would probably have to get the firmware of the phone. This is just stock android, its not for any specific phone.
I have a mac pro with a Bootcamp partition running Windows 10. Please advise if there will be a problem creating a 3rd partition for Android if I try to install it in mac os. would it be better to install in windows (Bootcamp)? Thanks

lamentablemente fue imposible ingresar a la cuenta de play store, continuamente ¨google play has stopped¨ , probe con las soluciones de los foros y no pude resolverlo, quise desinstalar y reinstalar con la terminal pero no se bien como se maneja el package manager de la terminal de android.
