In this video, I show you how to install Prime OS " A Fork of Android X86 on a laptop or Desktop PC.
This is not a dual boot tutorial so you will need another drive to install this OS to or you can search around online for a Dual boot tutorial.

I swear, this was literally the quickest primeOS installation tutorial I've ever seen! All the other ones take about a few hours to download, while this one just takes roughly 10 minutes! Guess who has a new subscriber!

I actually tried to install this earlier today but the only issue I had was I hadn't looked up my CPU production date so it would boot to the installer. I'll give it another try. I love these alternative operating system videos. It's fun to check out different OS options. Great stuff.

Threw a empty SSD into my old 2006 Dell that's been sitting around and it works great! I can even sideload apk files. I tried about 3 other Androidx86 installs and none of them worked. This one is pretty awesome even though it isn't the latest Android...it works great. Thanks for this video!!
Thanks for the clear and easy to understand tutorial! (I managed to install it on a SSD and connect it to my old Dell Vostro 1700. And it runs, but forget about 3d games I might try some 2D rpgs, though... It claimed my drive is corrupt but it still seems to use it perfectly fine.)

It really depends on the emulator and your computer. Bluestacks is pretty bloated and I cannot recommend it to anyone

Mine doesn't boot like that, it just runs a cmd prompt and then goes to a black screen, waits a moment, and then reboots. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Wrong version or incompatible cpu. Are you using AMD?

I don't understand, at the beginning I do exactly what you did, but then when I have to choose the hard disk I get this message! "Ok. There is no hard drive to edit partition."
does not even see any partition i made for the OS, need whole disk drive for this OS. ETA lied about this partition on dual boot.

Unfortunately it's plenty of bugs.
One tries to use a joystick and nothing.
The Joystick does NOT responds.
For a 6 year young boy is hard to use mouse and keyboard at the same time.

Hey bro i have prime os on laptop . When i attach it with using HDMI then picture won't show on TV . Just on booting it Shows dos black and white text then BLack Screen .

I installed PrimeOS. But it doesn't shows and connect internet using attached USB wifi. It even doesn't turn it on. Need a solution for it

now I'm trying mainline the auto installer erased the the old os then the installation just stopped blank blue screen

Hey I have Samsung Flash and made it to partition screen and the samsung bios wont le me choose the partition!! I already turn off FastBoot and Security Boot ! Ever Live boot of Prime OS this lovely bios wont let me do it!!!! Help
PrimeOS Classic (32bit) is INCOMPATIBLE with some 32bit systems since it uses a 64bit kernel. Installation to HDD breaks with "This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU"...

I tried in my Sony Vaio 14” and runs great. A few apps doesn’t work (works on Remix Os and Phoenix Os) but in general works fine.

Just check your BIOS whether it is UEFI or legacy . And check whether you have installed Grub loader along with prime os

I don't know if it's worth mentioning, but sometimes it can fail if you don't turn off secure boot in the bios first

I've been looking for years for people who does ArcadeOS tutorial(the dos version, not some Spanish windows xp or 2k ones) in English. Be more specific, it would be "advmenu" in dos, with frontend and mame games. In my opinion, that's the simple way to do purely arcades with so tiny operating system, and turns the pc for only one purpose entertaining.
I know it's kinda obsoleted, but I got whole bunch of mid-late 90s PCs sealed in my closet. If it's out off topic, please ignore me.

I installed it on an intel 2 duo with 4 GB ram ... pc before 2011 ... apart from some bugs it's pretty good
I installed Prime OS on my HP Stream laptop after watching this video. Works great, although I do not have any storage space. Both of my micro sd cards show as "corrupt". I am hoping if I order a new sd card, it should work. Thanks for the good video!

@@ranimestudio3871 It works. But it takes up all 32gb of my hard drive space. I can't install any new apps. I have not tried it with a new sd card. I will get back to you when I have tried it.

Hi, I followed the instructions of the video but when trying to install appears the following error message:
"Android-X86 installer is not avaiable.
Press RETURN to run live version."

a good portion of HP laptops and desktops might use ESC and then press the key associated with boot
on my ProBook 6570b you can either press ESC and then it gives you the options or you can directly press F9 for the boot menu.

Great video. I just got a used chrome book, and just learnt about Google's support life, and it's ending in July 2019. So I've been looking for an alternate OS. The chrome book is an acer c720 which is a low powered celeron. I was looking at Linux mint or another Linux distro, but of this works that would be awesome.

Hi I installed prime on a toshiba laptop running win 10. It is running great. The laptop didn't have Bluetooth and I was using a dongle when it was still windows. With prime it doesn't work. Any suggestions? Also I can't enable extensions from chrome

Do i need wifi or just use lan cable for internet?
WiFi worked for me but in the settings somewhere in Prime OS I remember seeing an option to use LAN instead of WiFi. I can't recall the exact wording but if you seek you should be able to find it.

I have installed on an extra partition on a laptop sharing with Windows 7.
Is there a way to configure grub in order to change the default OS to boot to be Win7 instead of PrimeOS? Wife does not know what to do in PrimeOS.

If you lick the USB stick before putting it into your computer and also make sure you put your SSD in the toaster first, it dual boots just fine. I don't understand what all the fuss is about/ ;)
hey ETA Prime we have a question for you we use CloudReady as a alterative OS for autistic kids do you think this would be a better alterative so kids can play games and do homework and use social apps to talk with others if it is the only OS on the PC?? we like how you can just install it without dual boot and would love to know how kids would think of this OS over CloudReady
i tried out both operating systems, cloudready is way more mature than primeOS, prime isnt even on version 1.0, and requires personal data on first boot. i think prime is going to be more capable than cloudready in the future but its not there yet, so sticking with cloudready is a better decision at the moment.
@@alexk1480 But primeos does have way more support, there's quite a few pcs that cloudready doesn't work on I've tried it...
@@Boba_Fett1980 i never encoutered something that couldnt run cloudready, it even ran on a pc with a single core and 256mb of ram. also cloudready has pretty great support, neverware is a real company and they even respond to tweets if you dont wanna email them, meanwhile primeOS is still a rather small project wich is still clearly in progress
@@alexk1480 I tried it on my old Nextbook laptop and it didn't work, and not surprisingly it wasn't on the list of supported PC's on their website I tried every way I could think of anyway but still no luck
@@Boba_Fett1980 none of the pc's i tried are on the supported list, the supported list only lists devices they have verified. cloudready is essentially a linux distro so hardware support is pretty good, its unfortunate it didnt work on your notebook

If I only had a spare PC to work with. Otherwise, I use Bluestacks with pretty good results and it runs on top of Window's. Perhaps if I upgrade my system, I'll give this a try. Also, maybe I missed it, but are the machines you are running the system having dedicated graphic cards or relying on the chip graphics?
TIP => Instead of putting PRIME OS on another PC you can virtualize it using Virtual Box or VMware and use it on the same pc and it is a much easier and a cheaper process too.
Why my start menu on prime os do nothing... I click it but nothing happened.... Everything is fine, i can install app, but my start menu not working even after i reinstall it

But after reboot it doesn't start

I installed Prime OS on my laptop. Works fine. Google Play Store apps work fine. WiFi is ok.
Only problem is that only 4gb storage is available. I don't know how to increase it. My Hard disk space available is more than 100gb.....
It's dual boot with windows 10.

Does Prime OS have an ARM bridge out of the box?
I ask because Phoenix OS does and the base Android x86 does not. This means you can play certain games out of the box on Phoenix that you can't on Ax86. However, I'm not a fan of Phoenix's model or the poorly done localization. Looks like Prime OS could be a good alternative.
