    Fantastic!!! Your the first one I've seen that's not afraid to use a good amount of garlic. :-) Most others only use a cup or less for the same amount of spread. If someone mixes their's to fast and ends up with soup, they can still save it. Just remove all but a half cup of it from the processor, add 1 egg white, process untill fluffy, then very slowly, pour the remainder of the toum back in.

    Made this last night using indian garlic which tends to be very strong. I was thinking if its better to use chinese garlic which is a lot milder.
    The first night do you leave in the fridge or at room temperature?

  • @shirleyramos1092
    @shirleyramos1092 7 лет назад

    Hi! My question is about how long does it take you in total to blend everything to the consistency? Many years ago I used to make it for a restaurant but it took from 35-45 min and I'm wondering if that's normal or is there a faster way.

    • @aromaofzanzibar
      @aromaofzanzibar  7 лет назад +2

      Yes about 30-45 mins for the amount of garlic I used, I just made a new video ( not yet posted) couple of days ago with half of the amount ( 1 cup garlic ) it took me about 15 mins

    can anyone tell me How to minimize the strong, pungent and heated taste of Garlic in this Sauce?

    • @aromaofzanzibar
      @aromaofzanzibar  8 лет назад +1

      This is a very strong sauce by nature if you are not accustomed. You can increase the oil and also egg whites help, remember it gets mild by the following day

    • @aromaofzanzibar
      @aromaofzanzibar  8 лет назад

      silverarow Thats way too much though for 1 cup garlic but if it works for you I guess its ok

    Your method is too wrong for such a quantity you just need 1/5 cup of garlic and 2 egg white plus table spoon of lemon and cup of oil ,,,you added almost half a KG of Garlic the taste will be garlic and not garlic paste .

      Rabih Timany There are many ways of preparing this with or without the egg whites, Its a matter of preference I like mine this way
