Many thanks for sharing this interesting video from Lombok. After 25 years in waiting, finally Indonesia brought MotoGP to Mandalika Lombok circuit. I hope , and believe , that the Indonesian government will continue improving the circuit and its public facilities. The new middle class of young Indonesians increases in its number nationally. I predict that the MotoGP events in my country will reap many advantages from them. The MotoGP Parade in Jakarta several days before the race was very successful. This kind of parade should be held again in the coming years due to its national positive responses. Thank you.

Actualy mandalika at lombok island natural scenery were more majestic than it neightbour island of Bali,... this is one of the reason why indonesian government build motogp circuit there....also mandalika region is one of 5 super priority Mega project called " New Bali" by Indonesian tourism development ministry....but unlike the other 4...Mandalika planned focus on sport tourism....build motogp circuit there where just a starting point for it...

While Indonesian street food is awesome, if you're not used to it, you may not want to be eat it before race... Stomachache and all that...

3 Bilion is actually entire special economic zone Mandalika. France itself 1 billion build part of circuit, 7 Hotels and 1 Hospital. 2 billion more is developing for all infrastructure mandalika region, not only circuit.
i remember, 2017, lombok is just empty island.. Now, we have big Road, International Circuit and even build Cruise ship port.. hopefully WSBK and MotoGP can speed up development entire island

Interesting hearing Hodgson talking about ticket prices being way too high for the locals. shame they don't want to get the stands more packed.
He makes a valid point!
from what I've heard, the ticket is surely expensive for the locals, but it's still affordable for middle to higher class, even some lower class can afford it if they want to sacrifice their monthly bills. The real problem was the cost to get there from other cities in Indonesia, not to mention the cost to stays there for several days. Other than that, Mandalika site is quite a remote area for other people from other cities in Indonesia. I'm Indonesian myself, I could afford the ticket tho, but like I said, the cost to get there and stays there for several days is another story. Unless you're a local person who already live around Mandalika circuit.
Yup For locals in lombok island its quite pricey....but for most middle class in indonesia actualy it's quite affordable...and even the 900 slot tikets available for vvip class that coast 15 millions rupiah (around 1.300 usd) & the Vip class coast 10 millions rupiah (around 850 USD within 2000 slot tikets) sold out within hours.....and first 40.000 tikets for premium & regular grand stand sold out within first day sales...
