First of all we find some fine folks that call the Lord’s Day, the Sabbath Day, which to them is Saturday. Then there are the others who call the Lord’s Day, Sunday, the first day of the week. But how could it be either of these days, or even the two put together, for John was in the Spirit receiving those visions for a period of two years. Actually what had happened was that John was caught up in the Spirit and transported into the Lord’s Day, which is yet to come. The Bible speaks of the Day of the Lord which is to be in the future, and John is now seeing the things of that future day. But in the meantime, just to settle our minds, let us find out exactly what the Sabbath is today.
The Sabbath, as we know it from the New Testament, is NOT the keeping of a certain day. We have no command whatsoever to keep Saturday for a Sabbath, nor do we have any commandment to keep the first day of the week, which is Sunday. Here is the truth of the Sabbath, which means “rest.” Hebrews 4:8-10, “For if Jesus had given them rest (or rest day), then would He not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest (Sabbath-keeping) to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.” Did you hear that key phrase in the last part of the verse? “God ceased from His own works.” God gave Israel the seventh day for their Sabbath, in commemoration of His own work wherein He created the world and all that was therein, and then stopped creating. He ceased from His labors. He rested. Now it was fine to give a Sabbath rest to a people who were all in one place at one time, so they could all keep a certain day. Today half the world is in light while the other half is in darkness, so it wouldn’t work at all. But that is just an argument from the natural.
Let’s see what the Bible teaches us about this Sabbath rest. “For he that is entered into his rest.” This entering in is not only entering in, but remaining in, the rest. It is an “eternal rest” of which the seventh day is but a type. “Seven” is completion. “Eight” is the “first” day again. Jesus’ resurrection was in the first day of the week, giving us eternal life and eternal Sabbath rest. Thus we see why God could not give us any one certain day of the week as a Sabbath (rest). We’ve “entered into” and do “remain in” our rest, which Israel could not do, having only a shadow of the true substance which we enjoy. Why go back to a shadow when we have reality now?
How we receive this rest, or continuing Sabbath, is at the invitation of Jesus. He said in Matthew 11:28-29, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me;…and ye shall find rest (or keeping of the Sabbath, not a day, but eternal life, Sabbath) unto your souls.” No matter how long you have been laboring under your load of sin, whether it is ten years, thirty years or fifty years, or longer, come with your tired weary life and you will find His rest (the true Sabbath). Jesus will give you rest.
Now exactly what is that rest that Jesus will give? Isaiah 28:8-12, “For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean. Whom shall He teach knowledge? and whom shall He make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: for with stammering lips and another tongue will He speak to this people. To whom He said, This is the rest (Sabbath) wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest (or keeping of His Sabbath); and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.” Here it is prophesied right here in Isaiah. And it came to pass about 700 years later at Pentecost when they were all filled with the Holy Ghost exactly as it was said they would be. This is the true Sabbath that was promised. Thus when they were filled with the Holy Ghost they ceased from their worldly works, their worldly doings, their evil ways. The Holy Ghost took charge of their lives. They entered into rest. There is your rest. That is your Sabbath. It is not a day, nor a year, but the eternity of being filled and blessed in the Holy Spirit. It is you ceasing, and God doing. It is God in you willing and doing of His good pleasure.

Yes I was wondering about this as well. I need some more explanation.
Those verses are saying that carrying out the normal way of life such having to buy or sell, you would have to have the “Mark of the Wild Beast.” That symbolic mark identifies those who are supporters of the world’s political system. True Christians must be loyal to God’s Kingdom only!

To buy or sale there will have to be an actual mark! The store will have no idea whats in ur heart or mind! I understood what he is saying and many say this BUT it does not work when it comes to buy ans sell
Sure it works with buy and sell. Those who keep the commandments of God will not be allowed to buy or sell. Gods people will be commandment keepers Rev 12:17. The government will force a Sunday worship law, if you do not worship on Sunday, but keep God's commandment Sabbath (Saturday), they will penalize you by shutting off your debit card and credit cards and bank account. All religions and groups will go along with the national Sunday law even atheists because the government will be closing everything to help save energy and the planet. Atheists will have their own groups, that's why you take the mark on head or hand, you believe it or just go along with it because it's law. It's all there in the Bible, there's much more to tell. The end is coming very soon.
The goat blood was literal blood which stood for the literal blood that Jesus literally shed. If you are covered by the blood of Jesus, you will keep his commandments and be saved (John 14:15). But if we are covered by the blood it is not a literal covering of blood. It's all in the Bible.

The Mark is disobedience to the clear Command of God to “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy....”. When God’s people stand firmly on this command, while others are giving their allegiance to the authorities who insist on Sunday worship, Then the Mark of the beast will be evident. It is not a physical Mark, but a spiritual one. Those who purpose in their heart to obey the Lord God, even when persecuted “for righteousness sake,” will be sealed with God’s seal, protected from the seven last plagues, and be ready to meet the Lord in the air. We must give our whole mind, heart and spiritual life to “Worship God”🙏🏼❤️
The Sunday law will actually become a legal issue. That is how we will See it happen and know the Mark and Seal. People of God, do Not be afraid of what man can do to us, however. Trust in the Lord God, and He will give us a courage and strength we cannot imagine possible, if we remain faithful to Him. The Holy Spirit will teach us all we need know as we study the Word daily. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost🙏🏼

I’ve thought this for years, that it’s a reference to people’s thoughts and deeds and I have been surprised that until now I haven’t heard anyone else talk about this. We all have to make a choice who we will serve and we cannot serve two masters. I choose Jesus Christ, God the Father and the Holy Spirit!

Just finshed reading Alonzo T Jones' 1893 sermons. This subject has been tackled so nicely in there. Christ - The Creator, Christ - The Redeemer, Christ - The Sanctifier. The last sermons talk about Christ in the Sabbath and Religious Liberty. Very powerful stuff there. Read it. It is amazing.

The mark absolutely must be literal too, pastor. How else would business people know who to sell and not sell to? Do you really think they are going to see inside each person's heart to determine if they are keeping Sunday or the Sabbath?
I don't know if this is true 100%, but I believe that the true believers will stand strongly for their faith and will declare their decision.

@One Man One Man, thank you for your comment. I believe many of the same things. On top of that, it is clear that there will be a physical mark, just as the Bible describes. We have to remember that this will include sellers by the side of the road in the jungles of India etc. too.

Although [he's] often very insightful, don't be misguided by over-thought presumptions that can clearly be understood when read in context. There's nothing ambiguous in the following passage found in the Book of Revelation:
"...and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
(Revelation 13:17)

I agree with a lot that you said when it comes to scripture but scripture also says no man will be able to buy or sell without receiving the mark of the beast So if you're not able to buy or sell Then there has to be a system in place to do that

(Revelation 13:16-17) I think you really missed the mark on this one (pun intended), and the Father's Word is plain spoken in that this mark will be put "in" people (not on) in order to be able to buy or sell (literally)-because buying and selling is a literal physical activity, God bless y'all.
