I am not a 7th Day Adventist, but I have Huge respect for Pastor Batchelor. In 2009 I completed a Bible Study course by him. I had a major crisis in faith. I needed God. I needed to know Him and understand His will. I found the Bible Study just when I needed it most on Amazing Facts.
It saved me. It helped me. And while I am a sinner, I understand many things better. I will always be a sinner. This is a fact, but God loves us so much that he gave us a way to be saved through His Son, Jesus Christ. Am I saying I am going to Heaven? No. Only God can say that and Jesus is my judge. I am saying that I am trying. Even with my daily failures, there is hope. Every day I fail and every day I keep trying. I believe THAT is what God wants. Keep trying, keep moving forward, and keep the Bible close to your heart. Pass on what you have learned. Teach your children. Forgive those that wrong you (this is difficult) and ALWAYS trust Jesus and believe the Written Word, for it is truth. Never stop learning His truth, because it is huge and there are ALWAYS new insights!

Absolutely agree wholeheartedly with your comment; the bible is so fascinating; the Word of God shows us how to get through this life which is so short when compared to eternity. The parallels throughout the bible, and biblical history connects all together in types, codes, numerics, acrostics, links etc and is so fascinating, I just can't stop learning and reading it, everyday I find something new, the more I learn the more I want to learn; and am sure there is so much more to learn. Every event, person, story of the bible has significance; and all points to the end days, and the end of this flesh world.

But they follow the popular teachings of many churches that tickles the ear, giving them a false security! And many when they find themselves facing what their pastors and teachers told them they would never have to endure, it will cause many to loose faith, and fall away! People you can’t let another do your seeking of Gods truth for you! You have to study to show yourselves approved. So you will have decrement to rightly divide Gods truth! That is the only way you will know when the truth, or error is being preached to you! Fill your lamps, and keep them full! Because the time of thick darkness is quickly covering the earth, and if your lamp does not have the oil to lighten the path through that darkness, you will be lost! Seek! Seek! Seek! Wholeheartedly! The god of this world wants to destroy you! Put on all the armor of God!

And the Bible is being proved archaeologically and historically accurate each and every day with new discoveries constantly being unearthed. This last month the Hubble telescope was found inaccurate and old technology as the JWST is 100 times more powerful and shows much more details. Scientists had a big bang theory and felt that the stars in a certain part of the galaxy were getting older based on this theory. This new telescope proves that the stars are actually very young in that area and disproves the theory of evolution. The Bible on the other hand, though old, is proven more and more accurate as time goes on. We have Nebuchadnezzar‘s dream of the statue depicting how time would play out, and Daniel’s accurate chapter 11 depiction of historical events that were yet future in his day. Jesus came in fulfillment of old testament prophecies. And here recently Jeremiah 51: 46 to 51 accurate two years of Covid with masks covering the faces and the side effect of the vaccine being heart issues. Then ,there’s Joel 1: 15-20
That accurately told us that the cattle would have no pastures, and the sheep would be made desolate. Ranches in Texas had to sell off much of their herds because there’s no pastures due to drought . And in England ,6000 head of sheep in one farm alone were incinerated because of hand foot disease. Pretty accurate, and definitely real, true information unlike the news reports we often hear today.

@@maureengibbons9472 Nothing in that reference points to exactly when He comes. For instance, when understanding His coming at His "second coming" in the clouds we know that He comes to destroy the wicked with the brightness of His coming and rapture up the living saints. All of it fits nicely. We do not have a problem with a "rapture" it's only the timing of it.

I do believe in what Pastor Doug is saying. We will go through the tribulation. the last 10 years of my life has been nothing but easy. Steady source of income, bills being paid, enough food to eat, a good place to live a wonderful neighborhood and nothing ever happens to me. So from this “cush” life I get rapture to heaven without even being tested to see how my faith is? My heart is with Christ. He is in my life. I read and pray every day, I go to church, I don’t swear, I don’t do drugs, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink alcohol, I try to take care of my body, the best that I can. I try to make Jesus the first and center of my life. So from this 10 years of an easy life with no problems whatsoever right straight to heaven? Just doesn’t seem right I need to be tested to see if I am faithful. I think I will be faithful, but I don’t know cause I’ve never been tested. Throughout the Bible, everyone has been through the trials never take it out of it. It’s pretty obvious we’re gonna go through it, so prepare your hearts people.

Since I was little, I knew about the final plagues but as I grew up I never took time to study it. I set up my mind to "Daniel and Revelation books are DIFFICULT, I'll learn it later." mindset. That mindset lead me to ignore the books, because everytime I heard pastors or any SDA people talked about these books I never pulled myself to listen to it closely and tried to understand it. I thought that I never could understand the lesson from it. I'm glad I watched 3 parts of your videos on this lesson.

Lisa, you might really enjoy two study books on the topic. Daniel: Wisdom to the Wise is a commentary on the Book of Daniel, by Zdravko Stefanovic (Old Testament languages professor at WallaWalla University); and the companion book is Revelation of Jesus Christ, by Ranko Stefanovic (Professor of New Testament at the Seventh-Day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University). These are very in-depth books, but they are also very helpful.
Lisa stick to the Bible and the Bible only, it explains itself and it’s very clear. Just pray to God for the Holt spirit’s guidance before you start reading and for understanding. Extra books on the subject are usually someone else’s ideas that don’t necessarily reflect scriptural evidence.
