Spot on! there's a young lady in the church I attend that has a sister. Her sister has a boyfriend she met outside of the church in which I work along side for a short time at this restaurant. She said she had been trying to invite him to church, but after talking to him at the job I knew that he assumed church was boring and had no intentions of going. Even after I stopped working their I would here her talk about he said he might come so I even encouraged it by saying I would give him Bible studies if needed.Longer story short he never came to church and now she hardly even comes to church at all,Sad how the devil uses people to take you away from God.
The reality is that church is boring and a lot of time is wasted . There are, of course , positive aspects too but one has to balance what's really needed in life. Going to church isn't the saving grace. It all depends what life you live. Not whether you go to church or not.
It’s even a gamble to marry with in the church anymore. I married a girl from the SDA church, from parents who were SDA, we both agreed never to divorce. Would turn to God for help during hard times, fast forward 17yrs of marriage she has an affair with a coworker. You can pick correctly and it can all go wrong. Can’t wait for heaven.
That is also true I tried dating a girl I met at church camp and she turned out to be a jezebel. She didn't take church or a relationship with God seriously at all.She just had a church girl mask on but she still wanted to be into worldly things.
Sorry to hear you're going through this. Have you heard of Rejoice Marriage Ministries? They're helping a lot of people to stand and (spiritually) fight for their spouses in difficult marriage problems, speaking from their own experiences and Biblical teaching. I recommend them highly, I've found them to be very encouraging.
This is why I've been alone for 11yrs. There's no single SDA man in my age bracket. Sometimes it gets very lonely as I don't really have family but then I remember how bad it was with a non Christian man. 🙏🏽📖🙂
Me too sister, one time a church friend brought a young man to church to introduce to me as a potential boyfriend, he came right in the middle of our Bible study, where we were right listening to Pastor Doug's sermon online and there came Doug's voice quoting " you shall not be unequally yoked, for what does believer have in common with non-believer..." and this guy left upset, saying this sermon is against him dating a church girl, but I see it as God's providence to me who wasn't sure if I should give non-believers a try, God was protecting me from unpromising relationships back then, I feel so thankful when I look back , I've been single all along, though people may tempt me or push me, and I struggled with my faith, but I'm glad I chose to put God's will first and never date any non-believer or differnet denomination, it took courage and unyielding determination to stay single and not to make any compromise, but it is worth it for God whom I wish to please the most, I believe for those who remained single for God's sake will be rewarded greatly, I know God knows the best and will give me what's best for me as long as I put Him first ❤ let's continue in strong faith my sister, you are not alone, all the true daughters of God stand by your side for your devotion and good spirit 😊😊😊
It's not a church or religion that makes a person good or bad. It's the individual characteristics. The sooner you realise this , the better for you. I wouldn't listen to what Doug is talking .
Thank you for speaking honest and straight on a topic many excuse.. may many see the danger as Solomon said..they see the danger and turn aside ..but the simple pass on and are punished. Praying for the tempted ones who will watch this... May you discern and truly follow the lamb withersoever He goes
People often times don't take heed to this subject. An unequally yoked marriage could cost one their salvation or an entire generation. Just imagine you got married to an unbeliever out of loneliness, because of inconsistencies in faith, your children might not appreciate the importance of a relationship with Christ.😢 Possibly leading to generations of unbelievers!!!
bills, Pr. Doug Batchelor is giving a lot of good, biblical advice here. I would like to point out that the modern concept of "dating" is not biblical at all.
1. Compromising faith because they are a "good" person: Feelings should not rule first or see good actions of the person, just look and realize that you do not have the same faith or beliefs 2.Scared of being alone: It is better to wait on God's will and put God as your everything and God will bless you with the person for you. 3. Falling into sexual sin: Just because they fell into sexual immorality doesn't mean you have to be obligated to marry that person and corrupt your faith. 4. Bad experience in the church: testing the faith to every person who wants to be married someday. Thinking about the raising spirit to teach for the kids. God help you to decide the best according to his Word! Happy Sabbath! 💙
I wouldn't listen to Doug. He is just talking . Going to church isn't the saving grace. It all depends what life you live. Not whether you go to church or not.
@July-A7 Romans 8:6 "The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace." Sharing the same faith and convictions is healthy to create harmony and be that perfect triangle in a marriage, otherwise you could never share the same in every aspect. These are decisions Every person does it, but there are always consequences on a spiritual and/or emotional level. The devil knows how to keep the mind fixed on the flesh and not totally on God...They are pieces of advice, but each person will be confronted with a "the word of God told you, but you did not want to listen or obey it."
What if you were married before you decided to get back to your father and you believe in Jesus but your spouse doesn't. I will say it is very hard but I just take it to the Lord when am going through things with him
1 Corinthians 7:13-14, and also prayer can be helpful. I believe there's still hope for the marriage and transformation if it's a good spouse and still wants to be with you no matter what your faith is.
My point is I would never marry a non Orthodox. The most I’d consider is a Roman Catholic, Oriental Orthodox or ACoE. But definitely not a Protestant- that would be impossibly hard.
Oh ok please explain if the term meant the sons of Cain then why the Bible says the Sons of God ( angels) were put in chains and utter darknes? And why their children were Giants??? JHB South Africa 🇿🇦

The Bible says that if a believer is married to an unbeliever, they are to stay together, unless the unbeliever chooses to go away.
I’m Orthodox, I’d only marry another Orthodox or an apostolic Christian, like a Roman Catholic or Oriental Orthodox
