    What I love about her voice is not only the beauty of her voice, but it's warmth: It is so approachable, so deep. If your mother sang to you with the voice of an angel, this is how it would sound.

    Mezzo-sopranos are often underestimated in favor of sopranos, but Marianne is much better than many so called sopranos I've seen, her voice has such power and vibration.

      Daniel Calfuan provide some examples if your right...
      To have such a big sound requires incredible talent as a mezzo-the sound doesn’t project as well (similar to the viola)...

      I agree about her voice, but "so called sopranos"? Do you mean second- and third-tier sopranos?

    • @feraudyh
      @feraudyh 4 года назад

      @@tammcd No, "les faux amis" is "false friends". It's an expression to indicate that you think you are speaking correctly in a foreign language, but in fact your translation is erroneous because you are being fooled by words which look appropriate to you but have differences in meaning in the context of use.

      @@feraudyh Thanks. I was able to translate the phrase (high school French in Australia = abysmal), but had no notion of the connotation. As I said, I found Marianne's "faux amis" delightfully charming.
