Young Living isnt an MLM anymore. They changed their structure this year. And anyways mlm / nm are definitely misunderstood. They arent the best but if you join the right one - something you believe in or use yourself genuinely and know how to sell yourself and the service or product - then there is nothing wrong with them.

@@ALLiiive yeah no it definitely is an MLM still And it doesn’t matter what MLM You join. They are all set up the same and have the exact same failure rate.

Man hearing these Huns talk about how they ingest these oils gives me flashbacks to my childhood of my mother warning me, "Never, *ever* drink the tea tree oil, it's poisonous." That was drilled into me by the time I was like _four years old_ and yet these 30+ year old women look at those oils and be like, "Shots!"

On a side note my husband grew up with severe asthma growing up and I couldn't imagine how worse it would've been if his mom diffused oils around him . They are terrible to inhale! It is terrible for pregnant women , pets , and babies! We need to stop diffusing essential oils.

THANK GOD I found you. Thank you, I saw your 3 YL videos today and I never want to hear from this company ever again. I was about to start as a distributor with them a few hours ago but something kept telling me to do more research and here I am. The YL girl that I was gonna start with is literally the same cult you show in here: using religion, putting oils on her baby 24/7, putting oils on her drinks… and not only her all YL influencers act, talk and dress the same🥴so scary, thanks again!🙏🏼

People in MLMs don't actually know what a warm market is I've found. I worked for my mom (a true small business owner) and with other SBOs over the years. Warm market is people who may have purchased product before, people/businesses that have signed up for a newsletter or other notifications about your business, people who have expressed interest in some other way, etc. In the real business world, warm market isn't family and friends. In the case of all the small businesses I've worked for family and friends get products for free or heavily discounted. If you have to sell to or sign up your family the model and product sucks. My mother has never had to sell to family or friends to keep afloat.

Out of curiously I googled that book she showed "4 year career" or whatever it was and it's written by a guy named Richard Bliss and my limited research shows he has ties to young living. Interesting how they can never get information from an outside source no matter what information they consume it always comes back to the company somehow. It's kinda sad really how they are all so incapable of thinking outside the company they are in.

Not only do I love all these videos with Isabelle, CC, Jessica, Kiki. etc 💜 but I also love reading the comments! I find myself liking so many of them, & saying "oh yes, i agree, omg she was spot on, ooh girl you are spicy and so right!"
It feels like watching great videos with friends and guess what?? No recruiting in this group of friends! We have recommended videos, movies, food and jewelry. Learned how to do a pretty bomb make up routine while breaking down another hun bot video and drinking our non pyramid scheme coffee. Cracked a joke or make an amazing pun that blows your mind in such a good way you find yourself looking for more! I have cheered people on, and have had many of you cheering me on. I have cried from the stories of strangers that i dont know, but feel a connection with and feel honored when any of you feel safe enough to share with us. I realized the other day that this community has helped me heal from the loss these mlm's have caused and I cry less! It is really cool these ladies ( and you men, i see you too 😍) made videos to help and expose the mlms and it morphed into an amazing safe place to relate to others. No lying, no recruiting, no so called managers yelling at us while we are working 23.5 hrs a day for $44 a month but telling everyone that your time freedom is so worth it. 🤪 Okay, I had half a glass of wine and I have transitioned into the squishy side of emotions. 🍷🍾 Lol Have a great weekend 🥳

As a kid, I had so many allergies and sensitivities I did not fully wrap my head around. I knew I couldn't eat peanuts but I didn't connect the dots on why I couldn't breath after playing with my best friend's dog. I was soo sensitive to smells and natural incenses as a kid that I couldn't go to Easter mass on Sundays after the priest started using incense during the mass. If a trusted friend or friend's parent tried to put essential oils on my skin because they said it would make me feel 'braver', than I wouldn't hesitate to say yes- and then be covered in hives within minutes. Kids don't fully get health problems and to try and market it as a cure-all and almost 'magic potion' to kids, that's going to put the wrong kid with the wrong list of sensitivities and allergies in the hospital real fast.
As an adult, my allergy and sensitives to essential oils and incense has gone down a lot. Still get some hives if I put it directly on skin, but into the air is fine in small dosages. I do think there are benefits and I can like the smells, but you're talking absolute craziness if you think it'll fix everything.

_"There are a lot of churches that are hella culty."_
Girl *preach,* I haven't been to a church in years for that very reason.
I think it needs to be discussed more amongst Christians because either it's going to completely drive people away from their faith or trap them in unhealthy and unChrist-like corruptions of it.
We have to normalize being open to criticism from without and _within_ our community of faith--Christ never called us to be blind fanatics and we only hurt our own relationship with Him by doing so.
Sorry that was a tangent, but I grew up surrounded by a bunch of borderline cults abusing Christian theology for their own gain and as a Christian it frustrates and troubles me deeply.

    • @xxmidnight12xx18
      @xxmidnight12xx18 3 года назад +3

I completely understand this. And it’s really hard to talk about the problems in the church because some people think you’re being blasphemous or that it isn’t your place to talk about it because you may not be as churchy or involved as everyone else is. Like I don’t do alter call or things like that because it feels like it is really pressured on people, so I feel like I can’t talk to my family about the cultist stuff our church does. On the plus side, my cousin talks all about it and I’m able to put in some of my feelings on it and I think my family is getting to understand that maybe our church isn’t the greatest. My mom wants to leave but my dad feels like we’re meant to stay. He preaches every once in a while so I think he might be a healthy input to our church, so I’m kind of just trying to encourage him. He’s pretty good at talking about encouraging things when my church is just about the end of the world.

    • @IsabellaLanter
      @IsabellaLanter  3 года назад +7

Yes. I have slowly realized this the more I paid attention to the churches. I am currently approaching my faith from a more individual standpoint. Because so many churches really have lost their marbles and are not doing a good job at alll!!! Thank you for sharing

As a mom and step mom of 6 kids, I had to unfollow a lot of the accounts that are frequently sharing those “mind blowing” memes/infographics about things that have been traditionally said about children/parenting. It’s well intentioned, but it quickly has turned into one upping each other to show who can be the “best” parent and who is the most knowledgeable parent. In reality, a lot of the things that are said aren’t necessarily wrong, there’s just more to it than that. For instance, the fact that kids are resilient and that kids are fragile can both be true. I’m an incredibly resilient person. That doesn’t mean my mental health hasn’t suffered and that I don’t struggle. It means I have made it through incredibly difficult and trying things and I keep going. That being said, therapy is still SO important. Just because I’m resilient, doesn’t mean I don’t need to have tools to get through the things I have to get through. Being resilient doesn’t mean you don’t have childhood trauma. There’s also been an increase in making blanket statements that often make parents feel bad for feeling normal things about their children. For instance, I saw something that has been shared around by seemingly everyone and it said that children never fake cry and it’s just us misunderstanding them. Sure, sometimes that’s true, but I’ve completely experienced kids 100% fake crying because in the past it has worked for them to get what they want. That behavior worked for them once and it was reinforced enough times that the child continually does it. Then you have to work with them and show them that isn’t a healthy way to deal with feelings and get what they want. It doesn’t mean you’re saying kids are inherently evil or bad. Not at all. But children can develop really negative habits that have to be addressed and it’s not always the adults’ fault for “just not understanding” them. Things are not that simple and it only contributes to making parents (particularly mothers) feel bad about themselves for not doing a “good enough” job.

As a teacher, we do social emotional lessons daily. We give kids the tools to help themselves take a break, self soothe and be more self aware. Relying on a crutch like an oil bottle can be dangerous. What about the anxiety attack when they run out of oils and don’t believe in themselves enough to handle their own emotions? (Sorry to comment twice, but that got to me.)

Is there any place where this strategy is explained, elaborated etc.? I have almost 6y/o twin boys, fraternal, different as night and day. One struggles a lot and so do I. I have not found a proper way yet to help him out of frustration. Or how to get him out of a constant: "I don't want your help, I want to do this myself" for any task we are trying to tackle. I know he has to do things himself but he won't even let me assist him holding a pencil (he is left-handed and I'm not) or which direction letters are written. Is there anything I can do or should I seek an expert?

i agree with the hun about kids being more fragile than some people realize. (obvs not agreeing about giving them oils to combat that...wtf...) what she doesn't seem to understand is that the "resilience" is literally the developing mind normalizing the not so good stuff going on around it. i don't honestly think anyone can be completely free of trauma, but the way we process it and how other people react to us is what determines how it works out. If i was bothered by something as a child and my mum just gave me some oil and told me that would make the problem go away, i would do like a boomer and just push it all down and let it fester.

  • @taliafantin354

In terms of kids, resilience and traumas, I have a few points ...
    1. Kids can be resilient and still have childhood trauma
    2. Just because some kids have childhood traumas, doesn't mean all kids need help to cope with childhood traumas. Some kids don't have life changing experiences that they need therapy for.
    3. In a lot of cases, kids and people can be resilient in the moment, but will have to deal with that trauma later in life
    4. Adults also talk about dealing with childhood traumas because as a society we didn't deal with certain hardships and struggles properly. A lot of kids weren't taught tools to regulate their emotions to given the opportunity to understand how they are feeling

I'm a big advocate of yoga. After my yoga sessions they'd have us lay on our back for aroma therapy (they would rub a little on somewhere--my eyes were closed-- but they rub your temples, center forehead and your shoulders of course this was prior pandemi and they weren't rubbing the oil on you they had it on themselves). That was nice they weren't selling essential oil they didn't want us to buy it they want us to come back to class. That's not a solution to trauma though. I still recommend therapy actually counseling and help. Yoga is for peace and relaxation-- therapy is for working through mental struggles

She's missing the point. Kids ARE resilient. As in they have more brain plasticity and less ingrained habits meaning IF they have trauma that happens, they can LEARN to manage IF given appropriate support and training.
It doesn't mean you just ignore them if something bad happens, thats how we ended up with generations of adults with ptsd from their childhoods.
Support a child and they will show you how resilient they are.

If she is so worried about childhood trauma i have a suggestion that doesnt involve oils.
Instead of spending all your time recruiting ppl to see that bs spend time with your children!! Working from home does NOT mean you are doing anything good, it does NOT make you a better parent than someone who works.
You are NOT spending quality time with or giving them enough attention when you are on your fkn phone trying to sell shampoo or oil.
P.S its really good to know she taught her child how to breathe. 🤣
Teaching them how to use oils is a waste of time. Its not going to do anything at all to help trauma, it is wasting the precious time you could spend TALKING to them..🙄

Salvation as a Christian is an individual journey, however, we are urged and told to fellowship with other believers and not to neglect gathering together. It's incredibly difficult to hold ourselves accountable for our own actions, to encourage ourselves in our faith, and to be properly taught the Bible all alone.
There are bad examples of Christians, of Muslims, of Hindus, or Buddhists, of every religion. Don't let the culty churches cause you to discount all churches everywhere. ♥️

Do you know what would have done absolutely nothing to help me when I was a 14-year-old kid whose family completely fell apart, whose dad left us and I never saw him again, who lost their house and pets, and learned that everything I knew about my father was a lie? Fuckin essential oils. I would have been so offended and probably hurt worse by someone giving me an essential oil roll-on when my soul felt broken. (I'm okay now, BTW.) My point is, DO NOT treat childhood trauma in other kids by giving them your shitty oils. Also, I'm allergic to few things in this world, but I am allergic to many essential oils. You could end up just adding insult injury if you give a kid something they end up having an allergic reaction to. But as long as it makes you feel good, Young Living lady.

I dont need an mlm to have "residual" income. But my job has allowed me to pay off all my debt and save up. If I wanted to take 6 months to a year off, I can. Stress free. Without having other people work for me to do it. 😂 yiiikes.

Basically I think she’s saying you need to get as high up on the pyramid as possible. If you have enough people you don’t have to work as hard you will make money off everyone else’s failures. Then you can just BUY the required amount of products out of pocket each month and this will keep you at your RANK and still have a good income coming in after you’re out of pocket expenses. I would bet she buys her rank each month and the rest is gravy. Meanwhile everyone below her is going into debt and spending money they don’t have to try to get where she’s at. She knows every time she sees people welcoming ( love bombing) a new person that it’s just another person that will FAIL and that helps her continue to climb the ladder. Women like her know but become greedy when they see a large income coming in. New people have to be lied to in order for them to sign on. GOD wants everyone to live with integrity and I do not believe for one second he would encourage FRAUD! Or encourage emotional abuse.
She is disgusting for saying that. That’s SATAN encouraging you to not care who’s getting hurt not GOD. Thats how the business structure works everyone can’t win!!

They really shrink their demographic when they talk about religion. If I didn’t know anything about MLM’s there’s no way I would join, purely because of her Jesus loving attitude.

In a real job maybe struggle bus hun could take some time to herself instead of using her faith to manipulate her audience because her upline is manipulating her so they make money.
She is saying she can only make money from the work of other people....not residual income.

  • @skylarstypulczak9864

Yup, no clue what this women is saying. ...other then her saying residual income 20 times ! I get the vibe that she's feeling some type of way maybe bc she's struggling financially! i couldn't IMAGINE working hard without a hourly wage/ salary and having to rely on my down line to have some sort of financial gain. I don't know about yall but my time is valuable and worth something so I would NEVER work for free! She also is being SUPER passive aggressive ( like so many established religions are when they don't understand/judge/disagree) tell me your bitter without telling me your bitter sister haha
