Total #humblebrag here. When I had my first child, I used cloth diapers because they were cheap. They didn't fit my daughter well, and I had some sewing skills and knew I could figure out how to make them myself. I developed my own pattern using average measurements for cloth diapers, and tweaked and perfected my pattern over 2 years. I started my own business using only my patterns and went through a couple months of testing my pattern on babies of various ages and body shapes (chunky short babies, tall slim babies, etc). I had rave reviews and sold them for years. I never made tons of money, but I never wanted to. That is being an entrepreneur. Starting from scratch with something you're interested in, developing a product from nothing, or even improving an existing product with your unique design/ideas. It wasn't easy, but I loved it for such a long time and once it stopped being something I enjoyed, I closed my shop and focused on my relationship with God, my time with my family, and taking care of my home.
You're so right--they imply hard work is bad UNLESS it's hard work in their MLM. It's this false dichotomy between "miserable running a franchise with horrible employees" and "in an MLM." That they can't conceive of any kind of a fulfilling career outside their MLM really demonstrates a lack of creativity/life experience.
As a Swiss person… regarding these Swiss products at airports: noone even uses these products or knows these brands. Not even sure they are even Swiss, feel like they just use our flag to make the products crazy overprized😂🇨🇭😕 just like Arbonne products
that girl said she was able to do what 99% couldn't in Arbonne and that's why she is where she is, but yet she couldn't get past a hurdle at her actual business like a POS system breaking...huh. So basically other business owners with successful business were able to do the things that she couldn't do. I hope she remembers that. That she gave up after a few hurdles, yet she puts down the people who gave up on Arbonne....

I write small business insurance. There is coverage for equipment breakdown AND spoilage coverage if you loose your perishables. Why tf wasn't she insured!?

At least he was honest, but I asked when would he see 'time and financial freedom' and how long would he have to continue. 'As long I want to' build my business'....
They'd just call you 'lazy'. The fact is, even if you did this, 0.43% in one MLM managed to get the same income to replace a regular job (regular was not expanded on) and the rest didn't make minimum wage. This was income, not profit and before expenses

I know you can never be fully prepared for every choice in life, but did she really think running a small business especially so young *wouldn't* be extremely difficult? She thought it would be "glamorous" and she would just have a bunch of worker ants doing everything for her?
