    Ive never ever had endometriosis. I was completely fine health wise but under immense stress and anxiety. Im 32 years old. Then suddenly this year in August, during a difficult family crisis, I started getting a lot of pain in my back and abdomen and my left leg. 3 months later, whilst suffering every night with pain (no straight sleep) they found a 6cm endometrioma cyst on my left ovary. How is this possible?!

    • @EvenstarSaima
      @EvenstarSaima 4 года назад

      Update: I had laparoscopic surgery on the 20th Dec. They found 8cm endometrioma cyst on my left ovary which was completely adhered to my womb and also my bowel. Endometriosis covered my left fallopian tube and some was also on my right ovary and tube. Surgery went well. I was just so glad to be free of the constant agony every day/night. But my surgeon found Stage 4 endometriosis 😢

      Thanks for your review. They have found a 7cm endometrioma n my left ovary. I will have a surgery and very scared. How was the recovery process after the surgery for you? Painkillers and antibiotics were needed? I was having extreme stress years before developing the Endometriomas and I believe that stress caused it.

    • @EvenstarSaima
      @EvenstarSaima 4 года назад

      Марина Сигунова Hi. Sorry for your pain 😞 My surgery and recovery went well. I was given anti-biotics for 7 days, I also needed to take injections on my abdomen area once daily for two weeks (to prevent blood clotting). I didn’t need any painkillers. I’m on Mercilon birth control pills now for 3 months as advised by my gynaecologist to stop the endo from returning. I am currently feeling some pain, mild discomfort, every day around my ovaries and womb areas however. Not sure whether it’s the Endo or the post-surgery internal healing still. I believe severe stress and anxiety is what triggered my Endo/cyst too.

    • @user-yx1uj2fi3p
      @user-yx1uj2fi3p 4 года назад

      Thank you so much or your review. It’s very helpful for me while preparing for the surgery. Thanks a lot. Was is a gynaecologist obstetrician who did your surgery or a endo specialist who mostly deals with Endometriomas? Because I am choosing a surgeon now and it seems that a general gynaecologists obstetricians who mostly deliver babies, they do not tend to deal with cyst and endo surgeries often. But some Endometriosis specialists are doing only endo surgeries and seem much more experienced in this specific field. How many days did you have to stay in the hospital after your surgery? Did they consider your surgery urgent and planned the date of the operation soon or put you on the waiting for months? If your cyst was 8cm, have they removed the whole left ovary together with the cyst or left the ovary? How much was your ovary enlarged on the ultrasound having a large cyst in comparison to a normal size ovary on another side? Thank you so much. I really appreciate your replies here. I am so scared about mine.

    • @EvenstarSaima
      @EvenstarSaima 4 года назад

      Марина Сигунова he was a specialist and performs these kind of surgeries almost daily. I stayed 1 night after my surgery as I struggled to pass urine but I successfully managed it over the night in hospital. They booked me for surgery very quickly, within a week just before xmas. Such a relief that I didnt have to wait longer as I was in serious pain already everyday for months. He removed the cyst only. It looked absolutely massive in the MRI scan. Try not to worry, you’ll be fine as I was I’m sure 🤗 keep me updated.
