Wow I have Venus in the 12th House and you nailed it with this interpretation. I never heard an interpretation of this Venus placement that included the lack of parental affection but in my case it is so true and even as a man of 50 years who has been through a lifetime of intense crisis and struggles (as most 12th house Suns with a Grand Cross Chart do) nothing brings tears to my eyes quicker than the thought of that lack of natural affection from my parents. My twin always said that she felt (intuitively) that she hogged all the nutrients in the womb… which, is food, and sure she had guilt and shame about it- and I am the smaller twin. This might sound trivial, but I studied children’s mental health in both undergrad and graduate school, and I learned that prenatal care is vital to our overall well-being throughout life. It’s interesting that my adopted mom also deprived me of sugar, because she didn’t want me to get fat, because she had a period of being a little over weight as a chicks. I would say comfort and affection were very scarce in our house- along all of the other things you mentioned. Conversation was very limited in our house, even though both of my parents are air signs, and I didn’t notice this and get bothered ab t this until I was an adult. I started to notice that other families would converse and enjoy each other during meals. We just didn’t really socialize in that way, as a family. Yes, to the crush part-!Painfully true. 4 of my planets are in Capricorn and I have a 12th House Venus, never had any difficulty with being monogamous and I don't know where that idea comes from. That's really not true. Yes there are limiting factors, but for to deal with this placement is to create better boundaries. Discover yourself and your love language. Mostly I would suggest you to be more close to people who are empathetic, not energy vampires. People who really respect your boundaries and not shame you to take your time. As kids we always had basic needs met & my mom prioritized health, education & hobbies above all else, but because we didn't have much money my dad wouldn't let us have much new toys, clothes or video games compared to other kids. And I wasn't allowed to play around the neighborhood because my mother was concerned with safety. I was always allowed to be myself, but not free. When my mom died when I was young it felt like i lost my only parent, my dad never learned how to give a child love. In the following years I often wouldn't get any birthday presents (my dad thought having nice things was frivolous & he was forgetful). I would spend my days alone stuck in the house, which turned into the norm.. I got depressed and lonely, I felt undeserving of love & never acted on crushes or desires.. i often couldn't! Because I couldn't leave the house or do art classes or dance practice anymore. So I learned to feel comfortable at home and isolated, using day dreaming/escapism as a coping mechanism. It stunted me a lot & I developed anxieties and phobias as a child that im still trying to work through as a young adult. At the core of it my parents were great people, but my dad didn't know how to be a parent and I really think he needed her to balance out their opposite personalities.

My experiences are, I had plenty of weird online "relationships" that weren't even real, so I don't even think of that as actually a relationship. My first real relationship was quite fun at some points, but I wasn't present for most of it. My second relationship was that my partner was kind of lazy and unemotional and lacking depth. RUclips algorithms are so interesting! My birthday is this week, and I guess spirit knows I’m doing some self reflecting. I have a cancer stellium in my 12th house. Growing up I always felt like my family never really liked me. My feelings were always misunderstood, so I spent a lot of time to myself because of it. I would draw, fantasize (maladaptive daydreaming) and as a teenager, I would spend hours talking to boys online. I’m very secretive about a lot of things that I do as well, from the things I spend my money on to who my romantic interest is. Subconsciously I really do believe that I’m not really worthy of a good relationship, so I often find myself settling a lot of the time, whether they’re emotionally unavailable, narcissistic, addicts, etc. They’re always not right for me and never do right by me in the end. I often say that I’m cursed when it comes to love. I wish I didn’t think like this though, and I’m getting better at not being deceived by people.

Fast forward, i have never felt sooo good after i got my freedom, working and living far from them and got my own earning, it's the sweetest reward i reaped after not quitting the battle which i endured alone and in silence, without bothering anyone of how i feel deep inside, how broken i was, i had a very tough life during my childhood days, that feeling that you always question your existence, like you feel that you are not their real child? like you're an adopted one? But yeah, i think that what makes me every stronger as i was growing up, becoming totally independent despite feeling caged up in the house. Aries Venus in 12 House with Mercury conjunct Jupiter there as well. I recently really understood how much neglecting the shadow sides of you can actually make them harder to control/more rampant. My mother was very emotionally up n down (Sag moon) and I never really felt loved by her until now as an adult bc she’s put in a lot of mental/emotional work. Even then we both still struggle to overcome our childhood wounds but we’re doing it together and really trying. Around the time I started this new relationship w my mom, I had a sixth house profection and improved myself a lot and started giving into my romantic urges since now I felt beautiful and attractive and worthy. I met my first bf on like the first real date I went on and discovered after about a year how emotionally unavailable/detached he was. It actually destroyed me for years how dismissive he became as soon as the relationship ended. It also resulted in a bigger issue that ended up fucking w my relationships w my mother and setting me back further during 8th house profection which is where my moon is. It’s been a struggle to find myself worthy again and to attract ppl who want me for more than just my body or validation. I am somewhat aware of how I contribute to these issues, it’s just genuinely hard to change core values that you came up w as an ignorant child that was a victim to her environment. I told myself too many terrible things for too long and sometimes it feels like I cannot undo it. It’s comfortable and I even now anticipate whatever hurt I will run into as soon as I am genuinely vulnerable again. I think this year something will happen tho as the nodes leaves my 1st/7th house axis and will be transiting my venus, jupiter, and Mercury while saturn tranists my 11th, Jupiter transits my first, and I’m 24 in a first house profection year. It showed up for me as having a reckless, toxic, pick-me mother who prioritized her chaotic love life over her children. I was always bouncing from school to school, having to move because of her love affairs. She didn’t actually want children, but would have them as a means of trying to keep whatever man she was with around at the time. She was very insecure and became abusive towards me when I started developing into womanhood. She would meet up with men, drag me on dates with her, and then say things like “we’re mother and daughter but people say that we’re more like sisters” because she felt threatened by my youth. She met a man at a park once. He turned out to be a predator, made some inappropriate comments towards me while I was swinging on the swings, so we left. Then she got upset that I got more sexual attention than she did. I was 11 at the time. She wouldn’t want to buy me new clothes, makeup, etc because she didn’t want me to be prettier than her. She even went so far as to neglect my dental health, even though braces were free with her insurance, and now I have to pay 12 grand to get my misalignment corrected as an adult. When I started dating and bringing boyfriends home to meet her, she would always try to get them sexually interested in her with seemingly innocuous comments like “I’m glad you called before stopping by. I just got out of the shower and was running around the house naked.”

Venus in the 12th house- Sag, rising sign- You could not have been more right- restricted sweets by my parents, not getting the gifts I wanted, we did very little things that I loved like beach, or carnivals- led me to feel not worthy of what I wanted. I've never really had a serious relationship and doing everything by myself (solo activities, art, singing, movies (romantic) If I don't have to admit what I want, I don't have to get hurt when I don't get it. However I have been doing a lot of self exploration. Now, I know how to love myself, that was the missing peice. I was exiled when I was pregnant, socially. Being Introspective is how I heal. I was depressed. It was awful. I was also in an abusive situation and couldn't talk about it. 7 years later I'm still recovering. I pray I'll get better and all of this will be in the past.

I never heard an interpretation of this Venus placement that included the lack of parental affection but in my case it is so true and even as a man of 50 years who has been through a lifetime of intense crisis and struggles (as most 12th house Suns with a Grand Cross Chart do) nothing brings tears to my eyes quicker than the thought of that lack of natural affection from my parents. I would say comfort and affection were very scarce in our house- along all of the other things you mentioned. Conversation was very limited in our house, even though both of my parents are air signs, and I didn’t notice this and get bothered ab t this until I was an adult. I started to notice that other families would converse and enjoy each other during meals. We just didn’t really socialize in that way, as a family. Yes, to the crush part-!Painfully true. Basically, just very bad at vulnerability. The entire video is true for me. I only create art that I love, when I’m deeply introspective & Almost spiritual… and healing. 4 of my planets are in Capricorn and I have a 12th House Venus, never had any difficulty with being monogamous and I don't know where that idea comes from. Makes a lot of sense. Venus 12th house should stay single for their own good even if we really crave love and affection in relationships - it's not like we are gonna get it, are we? At the end of the day it's a bad placement and all we can do is to safely avoid partnerships to keep ourselves safe because we come first and so does our emotional safety.
That's really not true. Yes there are limiting factors, but for to deal with this placement is to create better boundaries. Discover yourself and your love language. As kids we always had basic needs met & my mom prioritized health, education & hobbies above all else, but because we didn't have much money my dad wouldn't let us have much new toys, clothes or video games compared to other kids. And I wasn't allowed to play around the neighborhood because my mother was concerned with safety. I was always allowed to be myself, but not free. When my mom died when I was young it felt like i lost my only parent, my dad never learned how to give a child love. In the following years I often wouldn't get any birthday presents (my dad thought having nice things was frivolous & he was forgetful). I would spend my days alone stuck in the house, which turned into the norm.. I got depressed and lonely, I felt undeserving of love & never acted on crushes or desires.. i often couldn't! Because I couldn't leave the house or do art classes or dance practice anymore. So I learned to feel comfortable at home and isolated, using day dreaming/escapism as a coping mechanism. It stunted me a lot & I developed anxieties and phobias as a child that im still trying to work through as a young adult. At the core of it my parents were great people, but my dad didn't know how to be a parent and I really think he needed her to balance out their opposite personalities.

RUclips algorithms are so interesting! My birthday is this week, and I guess spirit knows I’m doing some self reflecting. I have a cancer stellium in my 12th house. Growing up I always felt like my family never really liked me. My feelings were always misunderstood, so I spent a lot of time to myself because of it. I would draw, fantasize (maladaptive daydreaming) and as a teenager, I would spend hours talking to boys online. I’m very secretive about a lot of things that I do as well, from the things I spend my money on to who my romantic interest is. Subconsciously I really do believe that I’m not really worthy of a good relationship, so I often find myself settling a lot of the time, whether they’re emotionally unavailable, narcissistic, addicts, etc. They’re always not right for me and never do right by me in the end. But yeah, i think that what makes me every stronger as i was growing up, becoming totally independent despite feeling caged up in the house. my venus is in capricorn so whenever i watch videos about it even though i do relate to the general descriptions i feel like i can't relate to the other cap venus ppl that seem so put together. i have both a cap and 12h stellium. i always get crushes on people that never like me back. i only ever confessed once knowing i was gonna get rejected and i generally have a really hard time getting over and letting people go. but i never really had an actual relationship, just unrequited love/crushes.

Aries Venus in 12 House with Mercury conjunct Jupiter there as well. I recently really understood how much neglecting the shadow sides of you can actually make them harder to control/more rampant. My mother was very emotionally up n down (Sag moon) and I never really felt loved by her until now as an adult bc she’s put in a lot of mental/emotional work. Even then we both still struggle to overcome our childhood wounds but we’re doing it together and really trying. Around the time I started this new relationship w my mom, I had a sixth house profection and improved myself a lot and started giving into my romantic urges since now I felt beautiful and attractive and worthy. I met my first bf on like the first real date I went on and discovered after about a year how emotionally unavailable/detached he was. It actually destroyed me for years how dismissive he became as soon as the relationship ended. It also resulted in a bigger issue that ended up fucking w my relationships w my mother and setting me back further during 8th house profection which is where my moon is. It’s been a struggle to find myself worthy again and to attract ppl who want me for more than just my body or validation. I am somewhat aware of how I contribute to these issues, it’s just genuinely hard to change core values that you came up w as an ignorant child that was a victim to her environment. I told myself too many terrible things for too long and sometimes it feels like I cannot undo it. It’s comfortable and I even now anticipate whatever hurt I will run into as soon as I am genuinely vulnerable again. I think this year something will happen tho as the nodes leaves my 1st/7th house axis and will be transiting my venus, jupiter, and Mercury while saturn tranists my 11th, Jupiter transits my first, and I’m 24 in a first house profection year. I hope things go well but I guess part of that depends on me.

She was very insecure and became abusive towards me when I started developing into womanhood. She would meet up with men, drag me on dates with her, and then say things like “we’re mother and daughter but people say that we’re more like sisters” because she felt threatened by my youth. She met a man at a park once. He turned out to be a predator, made some inappropriate comments towards me while I was swinging on the swings, so we left. Then she got upset that I got more sexual attention than she did. I was 11 at the time. She wouldn’t want to buy me new clothes, makeup, etc because she didn’t want me to be prettier than her. She even went so far as to neglect my dental health, even though braces were free with her insurance, and now I have to pay 12 grand to get my misalignment corrected as an adult. When I started dating and bringing boyfriends home to meet her, she would always try to get them sexually interested in her with seemingly innocuous comments like “I’m glad you called before stopping by. I just got out of the shower and was running around the house naked.”
