  • This video is solely about my experience. Our walk with The LORD is not a "one size fits all." Rather I felt led to share how God had worked in my life in hopes that it will help somebody else who might be going through the same thing. God bless!

I relate to this so much. The exact same thing happened to me when I got out of my last homosexual relationship. I had this moment as you talked about and I knew it was God telling me that he wanted a different path for me. I did marry a man, but I am still struggling with my attraction to women. I recently befriended a girl and fell very hard very quickly. I am praying for God to give me strength and to help me get back on the path he intended for me. Not enough people are talking about this and honestly Christian’s who do not struggle with this themselves do not understand. They actually think it is a choice and have no empathy for how hard it is to have homosexual tendencies. Thank you for making this video.

I've read a few of these comments, and wow. I've never struggled with homosexuality, but I have struggled with lust, pornography, and sex outside (before) marriage, among a number of other things. This is truly inspiring to see you all seek to honor the Lord instead of the flesh. It reminds me to be pure and walk in holiness by the Spirit. God bless you.

I relate so much to this. Your story of faith in God is truly inspiring. When I sought solace with straight Christian friends, they didn't really understand what I was going through so couldn't help, and when I asked my gay friends, they thought I was insane for denying what they consider a core part of their identity. It can certainly feel like a lonely road at times, and you will question if you should just turn around and follow the crowd, but when I am in doubt I find solace in this verse:
"The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it." - Matthew 7:13-14

I have been where you are - self-loathing, insecure, guilty, riddled with the brainwashing of the church that told me there is something wrong with such a massive and inherent part of my idenity that I cannot change. Well guess what - the church is wrong. Think about it critically for 5 seconds. Why do you want to live a life that is anti-love? You really want to stand in opposition to queer LOVE, one of the purest, most beautiful, most joyous things on earth?! If you accept yourself and learn to love yourself, you can live IN LOVE, always. Please stop hating yourself. Please stop trying to change yourself. There is nothing wrong with who you are. Nothing. There is nothing wrong with who you love. Your love is not sinful. Your love is not wrong. Your love will not cause destruction. Queer love can change the world. It can spread happiness, empathy, love, compassion, kindness, inspiration, support, and so much more. Please accept yourself the way you are. Being queer is to embody joy and love. Let yourself feel that joy and love. It is waiting for you.

Mat 19:12 and Gal 3:28 confirm it. The Shepherd can lead you to more plentiful pastures than celibacy, but it requires the faith to reject human teachings.

Tell him you don't know if you can be alone forever and ask him to provide for you in that area. Tell him you love him and want to live for him but alongside it all the fears and confusion. We do need to repent, as in turn away from sin, but not sure what you are referring to. I felt the need to point out, in case this touches on what you are worried about, that there is a difference between feeling a temptation for something (being same-sex attracted or whatever it may be) vs. acting on it (which *would* be a sin). Others condemn people for experiencing the temptation, but it is not a sin to be tempted. It's only a sin when you act on it. I hope that helps you or at least someone else. We all have our own things we struggle with, sin, temptation, etc., so we shouldn't condemn others. ❤

If you are still relying on circumcision of the flesh (= outward repentance, marked by conformity to cultural norms), then you have "fallen away from grace", and "Christ will be no value to you at all." (cf. Galatians 5). Jesus fulfilled the Law! "It is for freedom that Christ set us free, so do NOT submit again to a yoke of slavery!"

It appears that many of those feeling they are homosexual were exposed to pornography or sexual abuse during early childhood. There maybe deliverance needed. I honestly believe if whoever struggles with any kind of sin and cries out to God, they will be delivered. What can you say on this?

    • @christianconvos
      @christianconvos  7 месяцев назад +2

I would say that we all struggle with sin in many shapes and forms and for different reasons. God certainly has the power to heal, but that doesn't mean He is going to "cure" everything as Paul prayed for God to remove the thorn from his side 3 times and God told Him that His Grace was sufficient for him. Some struggles, God cures, others, He gives us the Grace to manage and live with. Hope this answers your question. God bless!

My grandson came out as gay when he was 16. He is a Christian, but isn't walking with God and believes every Christian is homophobic. He walked away from our relationship until last summer when I saw him briefly and hugged him and told him I missed him so much. I've invited him to come see us several times by text and he finally came for dinner in August and I was so excited to see him and have him visit. He is 19 now. He came at the beginning of November and painted with me and he talked a lot and it was so wonderful to be with him like we used to be. I homeschooled him and his sisters for 6 years before they moved 45 min. away. I invited him to my annual grandchildren Christmas party and he came and on the way home, he told his older sister that he had been told that I and my husband were homophobic and he was surprised that we weren't. I am not sure what they mean by being homophobic. Does that mean we are afraid to be in a relationship with them? Can someone define for us what they actually mean by being homophobic? I love my grandson. I believe the Bible is true, but that doesn't mean I shun people who disagree with it or don't live it out. I still have friends that are not Christians. I don't condone some of the things that they do, but that doesn't mean I don't associate with them. I love them and pray for them. I have several people in my life that are gay, a niece, a nephew that died of AIDS, a brother-in-law and I love them all. I don't condone their lifestyle, I won't celebrate it...does that mean I am homophobic? I am truly wondering what it actually means.

Hello Don and Birdie! Thank you for your comment and for reaching out. I would say that homophobia is more of a strong feeling of hatred or disgust with that community. I know other people have their own definitions for the term but from what you have told me, it sounds to me like you are extremely loving towards your grandson as well as the other friends in your life. I hope this helps! God bless!

I had to come to the same conclusion about my life. I'm hetero male and have struggled with sex & relationships my whole life. This is compounded by being divorced years ago.
Scripture is clear about my circumstances, the proper act of loving obedience & appreciation for all God's done is to remain single & celebate.
That terrified me. But what an amazing gift it's turned out to be for so many reasons. Any struggles I've had are nothing compared to the difficulty of doing things my own way.
Happy for you andbthanks for your voice.🙏🏽

We must preach repentance… in 2008, I was a gay-identified man, in a committed, monogamous same-sex relationship, active in an affirming church, where we called ourselves gay Christians. Then I found myself in an ICU where the medical team classified me clinically dead after a 22-minute flatline. I experienced death, judgement and hell. When I couldn’t take any more demonic torment, I cried out in repentance, “Jesus!” and I heard the Savior say, “I am here.” At that moment, I saw with my eyes the Wind of the Holy Spirit fill my ICU and with great power, He pick up Satan and the demonic and blew them out of the room. On that day, my life changed, the redemptive Blood of Jesus cleared my mind of perversion and completely healed and restored every failing organ. Glory to God!

I hear you man! I understand you want to fight against homosexuality, you are absolutely right about being saved by grace though faith! there is a misunderstanding about repentance, repentance is not confession, repentance is a change of the heart and mind. it means to walk away from sin and run to Jesus. but it doesn't mean we dont struggle, as long as we desire Gods ways and do our best to avoid falling into sin, that is a true mark of a believer. their is a difference between feelings/thoughts and acting on those feelings and thoughts. you have my support, not for a homosexual lifestyle but for your desire to run from it and to Jesus. if you fall, you get back up, confess to the Lord and keep moving forward. keep praying for God to help you and strive to walk in his ways. allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. Jesus Loves you man. I'll be praying for you man. thank you for sharing 🙏☺

I hope to see a day where a child can openly share their struggle with this and not feel hated or misunderstood. This isn’t a choice. Why would any follower of Christ want this? I just want to try to live a celibate life without the whispers, the questions about why I’m still unmarried, the judgment. The cross I have to carry is just heavier than what most have, but it would be nice if fellow Christians could help me carry it.
God said it when he created Adam and Eve. It is not good for man to be alone, so why was I given no other option than to be alone? To the Christian’s who hate homosexuality and say awful things, would you be able to live without ever having a first kiss? Never having romantic affection, sex, a lifelong companion? It is such an isolating lonely life. I will stay strong though.

You can't change your sexuality, you can only change your perspective of love, and then you will feel attraction to that person, not because of sexuality but for the person you love, that's how it is with God; we don't try to be perfect, instead, we live our lives for God, and we love Him because He loves and wants the best for us. So as a homosexual person, don't think that to become a Christian, you have to try and become straight, even straight people lust and fall into temptation, and they can only change if they put the love of God first; the same applies to you as well, we are all equal🙏❤.

    Thanks for sharing, bro.
I actually came across your videos back when you started your channel. Subscribed, and we even followed each other on Instagram (I since deleted my account, though).
But 2019 was a very dificult year for me. I fell in love with a guy. I tried to hold on to God, but I couldn't resist the temptation to be with another man. I tried to deny the flesh and pick up my cross but became very s**cid*l and started to self-h*rm.
I caved in and went on to practice homisexuality. I felt very guilty and convicted at first and would always repent after sinning, but over time, I purposefully hardened my heart and rejected Jesus (also unsubbed to all Christian RUclipsrs and started following New Age spirituality).
Over the last 5 years, I've been living a homosexual life. There was a time in 2021 when God convicted me, and I started to follow Him again, but it only lasted a few months, and I caved in again to follow sin.
This year, though, God has slowly started to call me back to Him (again). I'm really trying to hold on to Christ this time around, but it gets overwhelming at times, and the temptation to follow the flesh is unbearable.
I always thought if I ever returned to God that I would k*ll myself, but deep down, I know that true happiness can only be found in Christ alone (even though there are many times I can't feel it).
Please pray for me. I don't want this time around to be a repeat of 2021 and return to God for a season only to fall back into sin 🥲 but I know how weak I am and I wouldn't be surprised if in a few months I'll be practicing homosexuality again.

All of this, your views on homosexuality through Christian's and not knowing true gay love. It's all very sad. You haven't done your homework.
    1. Homosapiens have been around for at least 200.000 years and Homosexuality has also been around for the same time.
    2. all known religions have been around for the past ONLY 8000 years.
    3. Christianity has been around only 2024 years.
    4. All of nature ALL mammals have homosexuality and bi-sexuality.
    5. God has created the universe and all of us just the way we are.
    6. One is born the way one is, nothing is a choice.
    7. Science has proven the gay gene/s in many mammals including humans.
    8. AND the most important one you are missing is.... Just because you had one bad experience with a guy does not mean you will not meet
the love of your life. Once you are truly in love then you will see that god has given us all the gift of love.
All of us at one time or another are brainwashed by most religiıons
and the fear of dying and going to hell. Well none of this is true. Humanity and homosexuality have been around way longer than any man made religion. If you want the truth just research SUMER
and the 6000 year old Sumerian stone tablets. See where all the stories have come from. OR just fear death the way religions want you to fear in order to control your life. WAKE UP. You are LOVE and you are created
    by god who is LOVE.
The last major fact is there have been over 4500 religions in the past 8000 years and only 16 of these fake religiıons have managed to come this far includindg Christianity. Your belief in Christ, baby born of a virgin on 25 dec
well there has been 14 other virgin births all born on dec 25 written in history on stone tablets. So the story of Christ is about 8000 years old. All have different names all born dec 25 for some strange reson. Which of the 14 miracle babies do you belive in exactly ?
Before throwing your life away research religious history and Sumer. And when you fall in love with a great guy don't blame your self, let love do it's god given thing. Hope the best for you don't be afraid to question anything. You are human and you are love.

I am struggling with exactly this. I just get so angry because I feel robbed of a romantic life. Other inherent sins feel so different to this. Jealousy, idol worshipping, gossip, etc. they are all things we can manage to an extent. But this desire is so strong and so prevalent that you can never lead a "straight life" and enjoy sex the way God intended it. It's almost like why did He choose me of all people to never be able to have good, biblical intimacy without feeling shame. It just feels so unfair.

Hey, ex Christian here. LGBTQ+ rights are really important to me, because as much as my personal study of the Bible lead me to believe that it was in fact homophobic and transphobic (among many other things), however it never once offered me a reason to believe that it was harmful. It seems to me you believe that homosexuality isn’t moral. I’d like you or anyone else to offer me one reason that doesn’t boil down to “Because god said so.”, and if you can’t- you really shouldn’t believe it is. I have never believed that god would just decide things are bad arbitrarily. If he is “goodness” in it of himself, then it would follow that going against him would cause harm to yourself or others.

I can relate. I like you have SSA and I agree with God on what sin is. We are in a body of flesh that always wants what it wants. Once we are born again by the spirit we then recognize this. I personally can’t live out a gay lifestyle in that I can’t get gay married or be in a same sex romantic relationship because scripture is clear as day on this. But we are still in a body of hormones and needs and because we aren’t with a wife and able to engage with a wife that way its a challenge that is unique to people like us. Its a battle between the flesh and the spirit but like you said we aren’t saved by our law keeping or our sin management I like to call it. But ultimately our Jesus knows we are weak he knows us better than we know ourselves. And his grace is sufficient for us. And the beautiful thing is Jesus loves me regardless. He loves you regardless. Anyone who says different is a heretic and I would question if they even have the fruit of love. Jesus was clear on love thy neighbor as thyself. And also most Christians don’t realize that same sex attraction is not a choice. Now what we do with it is but even that is brutally difficult because we are all humans with hormones and physiological pulls and emotional issues. Its simply being a created human by God. Its just that even at our biological level we are born into flaws. Sin from Adam Eve entered the world and even our genetic makeup is flawed by original sin. Thank God Jesus takes us imperfect sinful beings and makes us imperishable by his once for all sacrifice on that tree. He saves all who believe in him for it. Easy believism ? You better believe he made it easy. Because if he made it hard then ain’t anyone making it to heaven my fellow believers. Remember you and me would have to be PERFECT and SIn FREE and remember it is clear in scripture that anyone say they have no sin the truth is not in them. God bless you for opening yourself up to possible pariah status. But Jesus has you and since he does who can come against you right? Jesus is KING!!! And he brings me such joy and humility. I bow down now and I am so blessed. Love you brother! Jesus plus nothing equals EVERYTHING!

Thank you! Subscribed right away, ’cause finally I hear this on RUclips!! I’m a swedish guy who has actively been celibate half my life (I’m 39), which in reality means I’ve lived like that my whole life (have never been to America, but here my choice for my life probably makes me more controversial than it would in the US, except for California, maybe New York etc.). Still a (forgiven I hope and rely on) sinner though. Here on YT there’s a lot of people (gay- some call themselves ex-gays, even though by all accounts they still seem to be gay, like they would be less gay just ’cause they don’t ”live it out”..?! I’ve never lived it out but it’s no question about my orientation…- and straight, pastors and priests and evangelists etc.) who focus on a repentance that you (I) just never will fully succeed with. I mean, some say being gay isn’t really a thing; it’s wrong to identify with it as an identity and so on. To me that’s just semantics; sure, it’s not (or shouldn’t be) the most important feature of my personality, but trying to deny it through not having a word for it…I’m pretty far from convinced that it works or in any way helps.
So this was refreshing, but how about the thing about ”homosexuals” (or whatever it says in english translations; at least one often qouted translation says ”effeminate”, which sounds absurd to me, but maybe that word has a wider meaning in english that I don’t know of…) never inheriting the kingdom of God” versus ”your” liberating ”only through grace” message?

    • @christianconvos
      @christianconvos  Месяц назад +1

Hello Christoffer, thank you for those encouraging words! I think that regarding the "those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom" we need to look at the context. In the verse you are citing, it is talking about not bringing court cases before unbelievers. It is essentially making the point of "why would you bring your court cases before the world (and then describes the way the world lives) when they won't enter the kingdom of Heaven?" It isn't saying that every person specifically who does each of those sins won't enter Heaven. In fact, if you keep reading, it says "as such were some of you, but ye are washed," meaning we used to be like the people described in the verse, but now we are washed by Christ's blood and justified. Hope this helps! God bless!

I'm impressed with the willingness to remain celibate and just as impressed that you left catholicism! It seems like those two decisions went hand and hand. It's easier to have a relationship with the Lord outside of catholicism. I will ask God to bless you with lots of Christian friends and that He keeps using your story to help similar people in furthering His kingdom!

thank you for this video. I am about to turn 55. I have prayed and struggled with being a bisexual man. One of my ongoing prayers is for me to be gay or straight but I am still bisexual. In Heart I feel if I was gay God knows my heart and that is pure. Emotionally romance and such I feel that for a woman. I feel sexually attracted to a man and it is not just sexual, but a deep connection as a friend. I love friends deeply and it is not only about the sex. I just do not feel romantically the same for a man. If I am with a man sexually it is not random but because of the energy we share and then sexually. Please hello with any advice and guidance from you and those seeing this. I know I am saved through gods grace as Jesus is my savior and died for my sins. I just want to know what you all think. @@christianconvos I think in that one, I somewhat disagree. Because repentance is necessary to be saved and it is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
      As Jesus said:
I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”
      Luke 13:3‭, ‬5 NIV
Also, the apostles like Peter were preaching to the unsaved people the message of repentance.
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
      Acts 2:38 NIV
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
      Acts 3:19 NIV
In the stories in Luke 15, there is joy when there is repentance, that is, when there is salvation.
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
      Luke 15:7 NIV
I hope this helps, brother ❤️🙏

Hey man, I really liked your video and appreciate a man who speaks honestly of his heart. I do think however to say we are not saved by repentence is not something the bible teaches, Jesus does say that whoever believes will be saved, but he also says we will perish unless we repent. Believing and repentence should go hand in hand, as when a person truly believes in God, they will desire to repent and turn away from their sin. I am sorry that you had to struggle through those attractions, but thoughts you cannot control do not make you sinful, it is the act of wanting to fulfill that desire and physically doing so is what leads us to fall into sin. Perhaps I am wrong, we all still have so much to learn, but it is important to not take scripture partially. God bless you man

    • @christianconvos
      @christianconvos  11 месяцев назад

Hello Noah! Thank you for your comment! Regarding your comment, I do believe that repentance is necessary for salvation, however, what is it that we are repenting from? In Hebrews 6:1 it says to not lay again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of Faith towards God. The Greek word for repent, "metanoia" literally means to change your mind. So, we see that we change our mind about trusting in our "dead works" for salvation (anything that is not Christ alone) and turn to Faith in God instead. I am all for repenting of sin, however, nowhere in Scripture does it say that we repent of sins for eternal life. Rather this is something we SHOULD do AFTER we are saved by Grace through Faith alone as it just makes sense that we would serve the one who saved us (Romans 12:1). Regarding sin, I would actually disagree that sin is not just limited to wants and acts, as sin is a part of our very nature, this is why Scripture says that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50). We sin in thought, word, and deed. This is why Jesus had to come and pay for all of our sin because there is no way we could have gotten rid of it (we sin so much more than we realize). Not only this, but sin requires atonement and repenting of sins doesn't atone for our sin, so even if you repent of your sins, those sins are still on your account (Hebrews 9:22). Only the blood of Christ is an acceptable sacrifice for ALL of our sins, and this is applied to us the second we believe The Gospel (Ephesians 1:13 & Acts 16:30-31). I hope this helps clear things up! God bless!

When you say you don't need to repent to be saved, can you elaborate on what you mean? My understanding of the Gospel in the Scripture is that repentance of sin is required to receive the gift of salvation, regardless of whatever specific sins we are struggling with, however repentance isn't some "work" where you go through the motions of praying and asking God to forgive you, but rather an attitude of genuine sorrow for your sin. Also while I believe it only takes one time to repent and receive eternal salvation, continual repenting of specific sins does aid in the process of sanctification. But it has to be a genuine repentance, not a going through the motions. What are your thoughts?

    • @christianconvos
      @christianconvos  5 месяцев назад

Hello Bach Beethoven Berg, I believe that repentance is required for salvation, however not specifically repenting of sins. In Hebrews it says we repent of dead works, towards Faith in God. I believe repenting of sins is good and something we should do (as I've said in many videos) however, repenting of sins is a work as it says in Jonah and as it says in Romans, salvation is not of works. We repent (metanoia = change of mind) from trusting in our dead works for salvation and turn towards Faith in God. Hope this clears things up!

Sooooo, I felt led to watch this and also to type this up.
So when I was in secondary school, I fell into pornography as well as same sex attraction to my best friend later down. Multiple people had also confessed to me (male and female) and during that time I was a Christian. I was always plagued with sexual dreams etc etc.
I needed deliverance cause a. Said best friend was a witch. B. I was living a life of unrepentant sin. C. I was essentially being peer pressured to accept homosexuality.
You must repent and walk in that repentance aka staying away from the things that cause you to fall into sin.
I felt like a imposter, I felt disgusting in my own skin because I knew God was not pleased. I became so wrapped up in sin that I literally told God, "I don't want to repent and I'm not going to lie to you and say I am when I'm not, so you give me a heart of repentance." That was simultaneously the most terrifying rebellious thing I've ever done in my life, BUT, because I said the truth, it was the best thing I ever did. Two weeks later, God broke me and I repented in tears. It was a year and a half journey after that to be fully delivered but it's worth it.
So to my brothers and sisters in Christ who are afflicted by these things, you do not wrestle against flesh and blood so you must put on your full armour. Read the scriptures, seek his face, draw nearer to Him. Submit fully to him and He will set you free. It's hard, it's tough but it's worth giving it up for Christ, because the spirit of homosexuality is an Anti Christ spirit. It desires to draw you away and destroy you. It's pride, and God hates pride , and pride goes before the fall. It's an abomination and God hates abominations. That's why Jesus Christ died, to set you free. So that when the Father sees you, He sees His son. I pray you receive the deliverance you all need and can live a life according to the will of God. God bless you and I love you all. Keep on fighting with the Word of God as your weapon and you will be set free.

I clicked on this video just out of interest. I'm not homosexual. But the message I got from this was so simple. That I am save by God's grace alone. Not through repentance. The church that introduced me to the gospel who I left later in my teenage years because the culture there got toxic had such a huge focus on repentance. I remember being young and fired for God, I had this one question for my church leader "what if I sinned and I didn't repent before I suddenly died - will I go to hell?" she literally said "yes". Every time I would sin, big or small - I would quickly repent. This made me so paranoid and anxious. Eventually this act of trying to be good and repenting every time I fell short led me away from the church. I'm now finding this video and realising that I was falsely taught all these years. Thank you for providing the verses! God bless you.

Lust is a sin, too. Lying is a sin, too. Laziness is a sin, too. Greed is a sin, too. Pride is a sin, too.
We are not to judge, not even ourselves.

Jesus came to pay the price for all of our sins!! And all he asked for in return, is that we love God and that we love each other. And have faith!!!!!!
I think homosexuality is also a trial, just as addiction, just as depression. May God lead you on his way and help you come out victorious. Probably still homosexual, but with FAITH, as a good person, honest, less superficial or proud [gay pride], humble, loyal to your partner, not doubting God, trying to improve yourself and others around you, being gentle to strangers... • @m.f.5739
      @m.f.5739 8 месяцев назад +1

@@MusicalRaichu I disagree, personnally I prefer the term same sex attraction, for several reason:
      1. This term, for me, creates a certain distance between these feelings and my identity, something that's nowadays very important. If someone tells "I'm gay", most people think of it as an identity. If someone tells "I'm experiencing / struggling with same sex attraction", it makes it more about the issue and less about identity. I don't want to let these struggles define who I am. I have so many good things I can let be my identity, so why should I exactly choose my burden?
      2. Subjectively, I think it sounds more hopeful. Gay sounds more set in stone, and is in the mind of most people connected with acting out. Same sex attracted implies that I didn't give in yet, and that there is another way out.
      3. That's not 100% serious, rather a cynical remark, but I find it weird to think about the original meaning of the word "gay". It originally meant "happy". I associate a lot of things with my same sex attraction, but happiness is definitely not one.
And I've heared all this BS certain organisations spread, but to be honest, I don't give a damn anymore. Because in the end it's me who has to look at myself in the mirror, not these organisations. So how should they be able to tell what is right for me? Also, the whole branch of sexuality research is corrupted all over. I don't take my morals from an ideology who honors a sick deviant and pedophile as a founder (just look up Alfred Kinsey). This whole thinking might not be objectively false, but it is morally rotten to the core. I've done enough research to be quite resistant against temptations and corruption from this side.
I'm also a bit confused about the fantasy religion you're trying to make, but this doesn't really concern me either. I don't live this way to please any God or religious community. I do it because I want it. Because I want to be in control over my actions. Because I don't want to do things I think are wrong for me. Because I don't want to dishonour myself by becoming a slave to my passions.

@@MadMScenery To life in celibacy like a monk is a decision for a spiritual life.
When a homosexuals declares himself as a (not existing) "ex-homosexual" and lifes in celibacy out of guilt and shame, this is not a decision for a spiritual life, this is a wrong decision based on a wrong man-made morality.
Homosexuality is a natural healthy born sexual orientation with an evoutionary meaning.
So the reason is important why you decide to have a loving partner or not or creating a family or life alone.
A man-made false biblical moral is no good answer here.

The Anglican church is open and affirming the United church of Jesus too, also some Lutheran churches as well, the ELCA. The vast majority of protestant churches are actively against us on all fronts, socially, spiritually, we are sinners and a respectable to them. Even bisexual married men are rejected, we are not welcomed, we need to stop trying to please people and wanting to be accepted by these churches and people. I went through all of that and found myself alone, in a quiet, isolated, unpopular, Lutheran church. But I felt loved, accepted, welcomed, I keep my Lutheran confirmation, but I have distanced myself a little bit, and now I am an ecumenical Anglican.

I could not do things that other christians felt were ok and that has made me say "No." Yes, there has been pain in that offering but also great great great reward. GOD BLESS.

Oh, my goodness. The above video is a good example of how 'religion' can SO mess up a person's life! Being gay IS NOT a sin! Nor is pursuing an intimate relationship with someone else of like sexuality any more a sin than would be a heterosexual intimate relationship. It not only saddens me but seriously annoys me that the writings of the ancient Bible authors have been so misunderstood and consequently misinterpreted, therefore having led to the vilification of the 'gay community'. God/Jesus Christ IS NOT found in a book of ancient writings! And until people wake up and understand this, IGNORANCE will continue to drive present-day 'Christianity'!

I agree. I personally left Christianity because I relaisdx just how easily misunderstood the Bible can be. It's the whole reason why there are thousands of different denominations.
Why doesn't god come in and clarify everything for us?

@@zippyblessed839 Patronizing remarks such as the one you gave bore me, zippy. You're not dealing with a novice. That said, how are you coping with your own sins? Are you having any success? Do you care to reveal them to the rest of us? I'll bet not.
The silly word 'sin' is SO overworked by those professed Christians whose blatant self-piety would be SO condemned by Jesus if He were here. I consider myself to be a Jesus-believer. I therefore try to avoid the pretentious use of the word 'Christian' to myself as used by SO MANY professed 'Christians'. Take off the self-righteous blinders, zippy, and read the Bible again. It mainly speaks to you ABOUT you! If the Bible makes you cringe, then you are beginning to understand it. Come back to me when your eyes are opened and then we'll talk. Okay?

@@Muhluri 'Christianity' has messed up 'the Jesus message' to such an extent that I would wager that the majority of Christians today who faithfully front up to church every week would not have a clue WHY they are there if asked. Why not give it a try? How about asking a professed Christian WHY they are a professed Christian?
Church has become merely routine and is as about as meaningful to many of them, excuse my crassness, as going to the bathroom. We need to forget everything 'Christianity' has screwed up and continued to be preached to the many 'sponges' who soak up everything from the guy behind the pulpit. We need to start from scratch. There should only be ONE denomination, if the truth be known. Or, better yet, no SPECIFIC denomination (as in 'a label') at all!
The majority of professed Christians don't appear to know this, but 'Jesus' per se is NOT found in a book. We learn about Jesus from the Bible. After that, then it's up to us how we live our lives and as to how we treat our neighbors, just as Jesus recommended. Our neighbors include the gay community! Anyone who vilifies and passes judgment on another person is a candidate for Jesus', "I never knew you. Depart from me!"
We also need to take on board what is probably the most famous "Jesus quote" of all: "He who has never sinned, cast the first stone." All of those pious, judgmental hypocrites who are reading this post should by now be most humbled and therefore ready to take on the GENUINE role of 'Christian'!

Hello Harrison! I don't know if you watched the video, but I explained that I am living a celibate life. However, this is not to be saved as we are saved by Grace through Faith alone, but rather because after we are saved, we should serve The One who saved us. It is our reasonable service as it states in Romans 12:1-2. Hope this clears things up!
