    HI- I just wanted to thank you---I have learned so much from your videos and book. Very good = reliable and applicable information always. Many you tubes have questionable information but yours are always accurate. Today- 3/8 I took the state contractors exam and passed. They had several questions (closed book except for IFGC and IMC books)----and the osha regulations but there were no osha questions. There were like 12 refrig, 10 AC, 10 heating, and then 56 more ---4 on ventilation, 4 on boilers, so on so forth- you know how the test is. Anyway I studied the topics- and I can tell you without any doubt that I got all the heating questions right because of watching 2 videos. One question was "what is unique to high efficiency gas furnaces"--and the answers were like gas valve, draft inducer motor, and something else and the correct answer was (I forget the exact words- but it was the additional heat exchanger). I got that from this video or the one you did with hvac school- the overview of the high effiency furnace. I absolutely got that from you. There was one- "how does the thermostat start the furnace"---and answers were "a- opens gas valve so pilot light can light it, b- thermostat does not control it- furnaces have a special thermostat, c- by energizing a relay that opens the gas valve, starts the draft motor, and ignitor- then starts blower motor when appropriate temperature is reached. I could have guessed it- but again- I totally knew it because of this video or the other one.
    So- I just wanted to thank you for great applicable video. Keep them coming! I tell all the new guys and will start buying the book for them. I only wish I had bought the electronic copy so I could keept it in my phone- but its all good.

    • @younislayth5581
      @younislayth5581 3 года назад +2

      Easy bro, inspect with a camera, (inspection camera) stick it in each heat exchanger, youll see it, units 8-15 years most of the time has a split, some units works for a very long time due to a very bad home insulation, or the customer added a room or two to the house so the unit now is under sized, some times a 6 years old furnace has splits In every heat exchanger.

      @@VanNguyen-ij7sh I know this is an old reply- but for the benefit of those who are reading- on goodmans I have seen the actual draft motor fail. It runs- its quiet- and runs at right speed but it does exactly like you say---runs, lights, turns off after 30 secons or so. I have seen it a few times- only on goodmans. I don't know why. Obviously I have seen pressure switches and other issues too- but if all the pressure switches test properly, and everything is working (except furnace shuts off, starts again, shuts off, etc)- don't overlook that motor. I'm glad you are running and a relatively inexpensive part fixed it. Take care.
