Best Lamb line “I could take you out with an eyelash mate.”
My favorite moment of Gary Oldman in ''Slow Horses'' is his reaction on ''Ho'' (Christopher Chung), after he says he believes the conspiracy theory about landing on the moon, I couldn't stop laughing hahahaha! I love Gary Oldman! Greetings from The Netherlands.
Lamb has been judging Ho the entire season 😂😂
Yes! That was a Jackson Lamb classic, not to mention his reaction when he’s forced to be a passenger in Ho’s car! 😂
Mine is «you’re so slow it’s like explaining Norway to a dog»… as a Norwegian - priceless
Hopefully, Gary Oldman doesn't retire anytime soon because he's been such an absolute joy on-screen!
ha ! he can't pull a Sean Connery on us ! We love him as European as he gets with the respect we owe him. If people across the pond don't, that's no reason to pout. Not only do we like him on screen, such actors are a treat on stage. any "old timer" who wants to have fun always does. And the crowds can't get enough of them.
Gary is interested in filming all 9 books.
My favourite Lamb moment. He pretends to be a carol singer and knocks out the woman holding Standish hostage . Standish winces but Lamb spots the scrabble board and says “scrabble! I’ve saved you!”
He has so much more to offer. I'm literally writing a screenplay that I want to shop to him. Only an acTOR of his caliber can bring my character of Horatio Jeckyll to life! From my lips to God's ear, and hopefully to Gary's.
Gary Oldman is actor’s actor…..the best.
Gary is simply one of the kind!…
He knows his character well. A true actor that prepares ahead. Excellent show and performance.
Excellent writing & directing too!! ❤
I adore his work. SUCH a great actor. Not "good", Great. Really phenomenal, always worth watching. 👏👏👏
Always ! Then again, It's been 15 years or so that bRITISH actors steal roles from Americans like candies from kids because they do the job PROPERLY, even as kids !!! They also don't get typecast and limited like those who live on the Hollywood planet.
He just talks about his job on Slow Horses, it's not an acting class, but it is !
Slow horses is just an amazing show, I can watch an episode 2-4 times and each time to enjoy it as it was my first time. its so British and so elegant. like poetry in motion
I feel so lucky to have stumbled onto this video. What a treat to hear Gary discuss the craft so well, so intimately and so transparently. Odd seeing so few views and comments though. Slow Horses is an amazing and popular series.
Some really interesting advice and technique here from one of the greatest actors of all time.
It wasn't his point, but it's sooo good of him. Many people still come from the USA for continental methods. Jon Bernthal is a mighty example of his brief training in Russia and admiration for English training, Not quite Baryshnikov or Anthony Hopkins, He's got something most americans don't.
For One Robert Downey interpreting Sherlock Holmes, How many Brits playing lead roles as Americans or in American productions ? All the "woke" blabla in the world can't stop that. GOOD.
If the Academy started considering TV, Oldman's portrayal of Jackson Lamb would get him an Oscar.
They have the Emmys already which are TV’s equivalent of that.
For me Slow Horses has a few really Great and I mean Great things going for it. Great Writing, Great Stories, a wonderful ensemble cast of Great actors, and the fantastically Great, Gary Oldman.
A true professional - a giver, not a taker.
The series is good but the books are even better. Herron has such an amazing, page-turning style. I read the first book in December and I‘m now half way through book 7. delighted to hear Mick has added another book.
Nice opinion. The books complement the series, it's 'great' to have both. I wouldn't just want the books, because I wouldn't want to miss out on Oldman's acting, inter alia.
Best show of 2023 brilliant
Thanks! Love the show and love this interview!
I can just watch Gard Oldman's interviews for hours. He is a brilliant actor. He portrays such a uncaring boss, but he wants his team to think. Jackson does feel somewhere deep in his soul a good agent with a little bit of tweaking can redeem himself. Little snippets of his days of MI5 come out. As an aside, watch the 2012 Runway Show by Prada. Gary Oldman is gorgeous as he struts his stuff.
Gotta love Gary 👌🏼
I think of Jackson Lamb as the Anti-Smiley but he does have that same aspect to Le Carre's character in that he observes and he listens.
Fantastic show! I absolutely adore it!
...great Guest...
Great show 👍😎
He is brilliant in this role. great series
I love you Gary
Jackson Lamb is hilariously rude and gruff without being offensive for offenses sake. He’s never used the sex or color of any of his agents against them. Thats why I love him, and his writing is brilliant. It shows it’s possible to be funny in a rude and grouchy way without being bigoted.
This guy is brilliant
Always wondered about how the phone convos were shot with actors in any way together.
When I saw him as Dracula - that was it for me.
Ging mir genauso ❤
about the Vikings and love scenes. İ laughed very loud
Great
I got to season 4 and was addicted. Season 3 turned out better as I was predicting here comes cliche time , but I think the way it ended was fair enough plausible
I love long haired Gary and very short haired Gary.
💐👏🧐👏💐
In every clip wth Gary Oldman, so many comments that he should get an Oscar! People need to get over that mindset. The Oscars is a puppet show. This man is better off without that nonsence.
It’s a great series. It’s my favorite Gary Oldman role.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Boy, that's a difficult one, I have enjoyed a lot of Oldman's performances over the decades. :) Gee, it has to be in the top five I would say.
Romeo Is bleeding is underrated
Der Film war gut
Was the trench coat inspired by Columbo?
A trench coat (think of the derivation) is exactly what you'd expect a military type (MI-5 is Military Intelligence 5) to wear in London - I think the anomaly is Columbo in California
@@scotthooton7478 Nice thought :) I have to agree. I saw so many of those trench coats worn by Lamb when I was growing up in the UK, same colour too, back in the 60s and 70s.
What about the look that he brings here ? Is he in disguise or is this for another role ? He looks much older, the beard the cap the glasses. Forgot the ponytail too.
They’re finishing off a season of Slow Horses!
Lass den Mann. Er sieht immer gut aus.
It's great how actually munching noodles like a glutton worked for he and the characters doing dialogue in the scene. Not posturing
I think he needs a bigger scarf 🧣 I like the show
