I insist that Gary returns to the role of Smiley Immediately
One of my generation’s greatest actors.. how he does it is fascinating to me..
As a serious amature actor myself......This man is one of the finest actors of our time.. tremendous character and ironically got turned away from RADA....
Gary Oldman is something rare. Amongst this shower of shit celebrities he is just a stand out. Brilliant actor. And from what I see, a brilliant guy
What a consummate actor. Tinker, Tailor... was a great performance however I discovered him in Sid and Nancy.
A very talented actor.
I didn’t expect this transatlantic accent
Gary Oldman.
Awesome hair dude.
Evening commissioner
Probably the most modest actor I have ever seen being interviewed. Thanks for this. Great interview.
A brilliant actor I've been watching all my life. He is one of the best in modern history, and he, thankfully, is more of a person who likes pretending than he is a celebrity superstar.
Master of his craft. One of the best actors of evil in history of film, his character in Leon...
What an icon! 'Nil by Mouth' is the best British film ever made in my opinion. Amazing performances and filmmaking. Been a fan of it since the VHS days. Thank you to the BFI for this and the restoration.
Interesting interview, but the guy doing the interview is a bit of a film snob. I enjoy all aspects of cinema from exploitation to art house, all are valid in the World of movies.
Gary Oldman,, my hero. Still being himself even trough all the madness. And Tbh .. he's a good lad & great actor. He prooved this so many times. Gary is one of those rare actors ,that touched our hearts. Thank you for sharing this and please let Gary know , he's being loved. Big hugs , Patrick
Regarding Gary's first few minutes of this interview..some of us get that click moment of what one is meant to be in life, later than others..I was 28 when I knew I should be a tanker driver..He was lucky to have a realization so early..but no luck in his success I believe..just a hard working very talented and passionate professional of his art..I like all his work. Regardless of the quality of the movie, his performances always shine..
Legend. As good as we’ve ever produced in the UK
Gary Oldman one of the best! He's just great!
I'm impressed that he stopped chasing supermodels and started dating appropriately. He must have undergone therapy to actually connect with himself. A mark of self respect. He looks like he could knock two lumps out of a passerby though.
That scene of him auditioning badly from Peter Pan is priceless. I always love seeing great actors act terribly on purpose, when their character is TRYING to act, then they have to immediately act well as the character himself. Seems so tricky, so when they pull it off brilliantly you know this actor is the real deal.
Gary bought Beethoven & Churchill to life for me. No idea how he captures the characters he plays but I appreciate whatever Magic he does.
So Gary, couldn't get any interest in dysfunctional realtionships. Swept under the carpet with everything else
Gary you legend, great actor.
Excellent BRITISH actor
Dracula movie is my favorite. I also like True Blood.
Did anyone else catch the Smiley shout out in Slow Horses?
Like the old school long haired Gary
I liked him in The Professional
Thank you for this! loved every second.
Nil by mouth on blu ray finally
Brilliant !
I thoroughly enjoyed that. Thank you.
Wonderful, thanks for this.
More! 👏😃
Love gaz
thumbs up from me...
By the way may e fix the title, there should read "conversation" i assume.
great interview and chat.
20:05 - Jim from Coronation Street!!!
Very boring, predictable questions, at least for the first 15 or 20 minutes. We know most or all of this already. I write as one who first saw Oldman at the Royal Court in 1985. It's a shame, because I'm sure Oldman has a lot to say if asked some interesting questions. Perhaps it gets better, but I'm out.
no one has seen the firm
Someone who hasn't worn very well
Proof that actors without words written for them are so inarticulate in real life....
What dullness!
