Proptosis cat. Warning, this is graphic.

This cat was rushed in as an emergency after it was attacked by a dog. These injuries look horrific, but this girl was lucky to escape with her life. Unfortunately she has been permanently blinded due to a disconnection of her optic chiasm. Basically the cord that connects the eyes to the brain was stretched too far during the attack and there is no way to reattach that. So even though the other eye appears to be unharmed, she is blind.
This girl will live a happy life as an indoor only girl, and her people report she is happy and playing at home.

She is. Less than 2 years old.
