This mod is screaming to be made into a fully developed, modern engine, stand alone game with a story driven campaign, fully supported multiplayer, the works. As much hype as Star Wars is enjoying right now they would make mad cash on it.

The reason most ships have the Deploy Mines ability is because ships in the Homeworld 2 engine need that ability to be able to shoot at missiles. It doesn't mean they can actually deploy mines. Also, always remember in Homeworld 2 Classic and it's mods: If you give a direct attack order your ships will NOT shoot at incoming missiles. Always set them to Aggressive stance (F4) and give them either a basic (green) move order, or hit stop (S) and let them autotarget. If you do that they will use their PD guns to shoot at missiles and targets of opportunity. More Warlords specific advice - the game is really accurate to the now-Legends EU, so if you want to know what a ship does you can probably look it up on Wookiepedia. Also if you're going to go for a resourcing match, make sure you pick a big map (one of the Warlords maps instead of vanilla would be cool because of the awesome star wars backgrounds, but I don't know if they have resources on them) so you don't start the game in weapons range. If you do play another Nav Beacon match, having a lower starting RU count but periodic injections of more money makes it much more interesting. The "energy bar" you keep seeing is the electronics health - it gets depleted by ion cannons. You can also make accurate strikes on subsystems with torpedo armed strikecraft. Two dozen Y-Wings, coming in at the right angle hitting a subsystem will significantly hurt a capital ship that costs 1000x times as much as the Y-Wings - but you do need numbers and you do need torpedoes for anything bigger than a frigate. Fighter scale lasers and ion cannons only tickle capital ships in small amounts.

They came out a little bit before Endor and were only flown by the elite fighter units such as the 181st.
TIE Defender was the best TIE variant the Empire made in the Galactic Civil War. Not only did it have 4 laser cannons, 2 Ion cannons and 2 warhead launchers capable of firing proton torpedoes or concussion missiles, it also had shields and a hyperdrive. It was nicknamed the X-Wing KILLER for very good reason.
I've heard that the Independence class star-cruiser was more or less 1,300 meters canonically (100 meters longer than a Liberty Type MC 80), but since this is was the first time I saw the Independence class, I find it hard to accept.

I really love seeing this mod being played, pew pew pew sounds everywhere! I will be waiting for the resource mode gameplay, also please choose a a StarWars themed map, those HW2 backgrounds don't look very fitting.
I believe, as it says this in the readme or something, that the Venator class gets its beam weapon from the hangar. I think you have to press/hold Z then to click on an enemy. You should see your icon turn into the standard "attack" icon, but with a yellow circle inside. I have only ever managed to get this to work once, but you might have better luck.

Next Walords match: The Eclipse SSD vs the entire rebel fleet by itself. Trust me, Captain, That Super Star Dreadnought needs no support fleet. actually maybe a wing of defenders just to get rid of the enemy fighters.
Shack, as far as i know The Tie phantom series has shields and a cloak and a hyperdrive. but cannot use both (the cloak and shields) at the same time. so in the video, most likely they were charging in full shields during attack runs, then dropping shields and booting up the cloak for when they are getting in position for another run
the bugs are due to the remastered version which also effects the original versions that were included. the mod worked fine on hw 2 but the rm effected both hw 1 and 2 original that came with it. the dev explained this and is working to update and fix the problems and port to RM but like many modders the incoming large update should change this. all the ai, ships on wrong factions, broken ai production etc are all related to this
make sure you check the fighter spawn cap!!!!!!! and please play more of this game, idk how to install the mode so i just try to find videos on RUclips and watch that way. Let fun, but it works. Great job tho XD
The battles in this look better than Sins of a Galactic Empire mod for Sins. The ships move too fast in Sins to look Star Wars like, even on slowest. The models in this look better too with the moving turrets and the visible battle damage effects on the skins. I haven't tried Ascendancy or Interregnum though. Of course Sins is on a much larger scale (smaller scale ships) than Homeworld so I guess there can't be as much detail.
Hey Shack, I've just started a story play through on empire at war in on the mission where you have to capture Leia.....I'm a bit more focused on capturing everything around me though. Can't wait for your lets play of it

Hope you've gotten in touch with one of the mod authors, as stable as it can be it has a few problems depending on who you play. I've ran into a few problems like when I have two planets left to conquered the moving of land units breaks making it impossible to finish the game, and if you do something in a certain order you can't build the death star. Other then those two empire focused bugs they aren't any other problems I've ran into.

Guys I downloaded this on steam workshop and the republic are missing textures like the red stripe and the round icons in both sides and also the names aren't correct and there are missing icons too for the ships so I don't know what I am deploying :( Please tell me how to fix anyone?

Tie-defender was from the expansion of Tie-fighter and it's the equivient of the B-wing fighter. the tie Phantom was from rebel assult 2

Well yes. But it was specifically made to murder any rebel fighter. The best pilots and the best fighter craft in existence. And yes hugely expensive.
