He always had a way to make that big tackle or that batted pass late in games, when the opponents were focused on Reggie. He was really an Old Reliable on that D line.
It's easy to forget how good the 1995 Packers were, when you compare them to the two Super Bowl teams afterward. The Packers in 95 lost three games by 3 points, and they were winnable games. The Packers could've easily gone 13-3 or 14-2 in 1995. Also ironic: The Packers won the SB in 1996 WITHOUT a 1,000-yard receiver and a 1,000-yard rusher. The Packers in 1995 & 1997 had both of those and didn't win the Super Bowl either time.
Holmgren basically turned the Packers into the 49ers offensively. Fritz Shurmer is in league with the likes of Bill Belichick and Buddy Ryan as far as Defensive Gurus go. Had the Pack not met Dallas (they were in the very twilight of their domination in the NFC) that year, they would've been champions. No doubt. I'm a Vikings fan but Green Bay from 95'-97' was simply dominant!
Not the way he left GB, he wasn't. He told the Packers he was coming back, asked for his next year's salary in advance, and as soon as the check cleared, he told the Packers, "Oh, sorry, I'm gonna actually go coach at Notre dame."
The 1995 Packers Yearbook highlight video ends after the WC wins against Atlanta!??! They seriously just left out the Divisional Round win at San Francisco!??! What the hell is going on out there
You know If it weren’t that Legendary Green Bay Packers Team Under Mike Holmgren And Brett Favre having made it into the 1995 NFC Championship and having destroyed and dethroned The San Francisco 49ers Then my Dallas Cowboys Team Under Troy Aikman wouldn’t have ever made it to their last and Final 🏆Super Bowl In Tempe, Arizona And Where In Which they had ended up Destroying the Pittsburgh Steelers in a final 27➖17 Victory !!!!!!!! 😉😉😉😉😉🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
NFL Films back then would not show losses in those old team videos. They showed clips from those games, the Brooks touchdown at the beginning is from the NFC championship game. Not sure why they didn't show the playoff game against San Fran.
Scripted? Dirty Dallas purposefully hurt John Jurkovich and Gil Haskel. I wanted to get in an F-16 and level their city. Will never forget. WAS NICE TO BEAT STEELERS IN JERRY'S HOUSE IN 2010. Not satisfied though.
The absolute pinnacle of NFL action. The nineteens we're the absolute best for everything.✌️🇺🇸
90’s was the best time for football!

The defense wasn’t there yet. Plus they didn’t generate many takeaways. The running game wasn’t as productive either

Question? Why did they not show the NFC Divisional Playoff highlights against the 49ers or the NFC Championship against the Cowboys?
