I always appreciate when a historically significant race car is kept/returned to accurate "as raced" configuration. And imo, ANY car The King raced in competition is worthy of being corrected to the day he raced it (as much as humanly possible). Good job.
I am very impressed with the work here! I have to say, I did not realize how much work would go into this part of the restoration. The work to take the old nose off in such a surgically precise way is what impressed me, especially with the awareness of the car's dimensions and unique design. This is truly a testament to the excellence that comes with the Petty name! Well done. I'm glad to see you found an authentic to the period nose! The car is coming together beautifully! Hope to see that car rolling into New York's Times Square or onto the Boston Common! Also: For those wondering (and it's not my video), here's the "way before" of what happened to this car: ruclips.net/video/_zA_zTTds2Y/видео.html One video called this accident one of Richard Petty's "most physically exacting" accidents. And this backs up the description in the video-the original nose was, well, gone to schmatta. Thanks for sharing with us!
fantastique greetings from south france a real savoir faire many respect for the works it's just awesome to see a restoration of old cars of the epoch. I love the noze of this car of the pontiac grand prix, this guy is a genius of the mecanic i love !
This is a 1991 car that had been turned into a show car after a crash. In the process of being made show ready, it had been fitted with a 1989 spec nose. The car is currently being restored to be period correct to 1991 and as such, has now been fitted with a 1991 spec nose, as shown in this video. So, it may have looked perfectly fine the way it was, however, it wasn't historically accurate to when it raced in '91.

Where did y’all get the new nose from.
Friend of a friend. Had to pull several strings to get it here!
How do you get new contingency decals when yall do this?
Love the Hans Zimmer/Days of Thunder music to go along with the video! You gotta have this playing while working on a racecar 🏎️
Where can one purchase a new nose piece for a 1988-89 NASCAR Pontiac Grand Prix? I am restoring a former Jimmy Means #52

Is that a Petty Charger that's the primed car in the background? If so, what are you doing to it?
I can’t believe a nascar driver has a RUclips channel
That measurement at 3:29 - I see what you did there. Nice.
