I know it's a typical answer but you can't deny how wholesome and great Mary Poppins is, definitely an all time favorite of mine. That Darn Cat and the Love Bug are good ones too!
Mary Poppins is an absolute classic. Going through some of these I added Blackbeard's Ghost to my watchlist as it was surprisingly more fun than I thought it sounded. For each of these films, if I hadn't seen them, I watched a chunk of them, but I'll go back to watch all of Blackbeard's Ghost soon.
There are some really great movies from this time. Since Disney is mostly known for their animation, I think most people forget the majority of these films.
Keenan Wynn would later voice Winter Warlock in the iconic Rankin-Bass Christmas special 1970’s Santa Claus is Coming to Town. That’s what I always known him as.
Hate to quibble, but with only three songs -- the title track and two in the main story -- I don't tend to think of "The Parent Trap" as a musical. Sure, "Let's Get Together" is a gem, both as a tune and a theatrical moment, but I don't think it qualifies to push TPT into the musical category.
The next era video is on my schedule for next month. They are usually the hardest videos to write as I have to sit and watch a ton of stuff as well as do heavy research. It's why there is such a long wait between each one. If you follow my community tab, I always try to announce when things are coming, or at least tease them.
Not to be pedantic Josh, but that is definitely a chimpanzee in Merlin Jones & Monkey's Uncle- not an orangutan. My MA in anthropology tells me so! Which is an ape, not a monkey, for all that as well Disney! My stuffed orangutan, Oscar, gets very miffed when people confuse them.

The Love Bug.
Is the movie that started my big passion for the old VW Beetle.
The Happiest Millionaire. Whatever I think of the plot, I love the tracks in it.
The Parent Trap 60s version is greatly overshadowed.
This decade of live action Disney movies are my absolute favorite, and Mary Poppins is my favorite movie. Thanks for validating😊

Do you know of the Live Action Movies that were realised with the original Winnie the Pooh shorts from the 60's and 70's ?

Anyway, I remember most of these from Wonderful World of Disney as a kid - hard to pick a favorite!
Ugh I'm the worst! I even had my script vetted! Would it help to say that much of this script was written between the hours of 10pm and 1am?
