Honestly I appreciate my online friends(most of em american) even more now! They're gems that KNEW me and really made me feel like family even when i hadn't shown my face. They never doubted me! Damnnn i feel guilty for not appreciating their presence in my life!

My opinion is that it shouldn’t be that hard to search for friends. Honestly feels like you are applying for a job interview and you’re sending in your résumé to see if they pick you or not. It has never been so hard for me to make friends in any other culture before, I’m not trying to be offensive it’s just the way that it feels.
Ditto. And, unfortunately, the darker your skin the last change you have of having your "resume" even looked at lol.

This is a really great video! However I have noticed there are also a lot of ppl posing as Koreans and sometimes its hard to tell if they are real or not until they show they are true colours!

About profile picture, even a lot of Korean “and all nationalities”on instagram don’t put their face, I mean they don’t show their faces and at the end it’s something personal if you wanna show it or not so it’s not something “you should do even if you’re not comfortable with”

Why bother?
I talked to a few people on language exchange apps that were not interested in dating. But after talking for a month or so, they just stopped talking. I even had a girl who is in my city here in America with a lot of similar interests and was helping me with my Korean but after a few months she stopped talking. I haven't heard from her in over a month. Is it normal for Koreans to disappear after a while? Do Koreans maintain long term friendships?
What I've noticed in my experience is that it is way more difficult to keep the conversation with women than with men and it's weird because we can have more things in common but they don't really want to be open at all 😅

I live in Hawaii so I even thought of a tutor but it’s just not the same as communicating with someone who is actually living in that country. It takes away from the whole experience. Does that make sense? Lol
