Tip #1 - The No Contact Rule
This is something I recommend to almost everyone who Is going through a break up, because it works in two very simple ways.
It makes your ex miss you, and secondly it gives you a chance to reset your life and get your stuff together.
Tip #2 - Utilize a Zeigarnik Effect
It is one of the most useful strategies you can use to get your ex back after a break up. People seem to remember uncompleted tasks than completed tasks.
If you’re having a conversation with an ex and its abruptly interrupted, he is more likely to remember that conversation more than one that ends naturally.
Tip #3 - Utilize the road not taken study
Actual self, personal qualities that you personally believe that you have. The Ideal self, which consists of qualities that you want to have. Finally, the ought self, the person you feel that you ought to have been.
76% of individuals answered with one singular thought, they thought they hadn’t fulfilled their ideal self. Often when people feel regret with something, they feel they haven’t achieved yet, this encapsulates your situation.

My ex is currently getting to know someone and he said he has to be fair and choose her even if he loves me because I broke up with him. The first few times I never got through the entire NC rule because HE kept reaching out
Now, after a positive interaction where he asked me not to put a timeline on him, (I didn’t contact after) - it has been 20 days of no contact.
How can I know what’s up with him? Does this sound bad? I was the last to text on the day of the positive interaction ... it wasn’t something that required a response. But now I have no idea where we stand

Take a look at my Program, if you have not already, as I teach a method on how to reach out to him when it's the right time. He may not necessarily initiate contact, but that does not mean you have to wait forever.

This is where the No Contact rule should be adaptable in the sense that sometimes its less of a rule and more of a pragmatic application of when you should or must communicate....such as when we have workplace situations or other situations such as shared responsibilities...children, etc.
Chris, what do I do if my ex girlfriend started talking to me a week ago and seemed interested. But now as of last night she seems uninterested and like she doesn't want to talk to me? Help! I'm so lost and confused at the moment. :(
This on/off communication from her is not unusual for situations like this. Just give her space when she pulls away - avoid forcing things.
@@chrisseitercoaching Yeah. I have been trying to space out the number of messages I send her on Snapchat. Learning from past experience, this isn't the first time I've went through this before. She has replied back to me before with "Just stop texting me for a while. 9 times out of 10, that means she is just really busy and can't talk at the moment. So, today I have been doing things to try and keep busy. Watching RUclips videos, reading the articles on Ex-Girlfriend Recovery and going for walks. It's important to text her. But at the same time, I don't want to get to the point where I'm sending 50, 60, even 70 texts to her in an hour. Then I would just be smothering her with too much attention and risk ending up pissing her off. Which, when you're trying to get back with an ex, and you have a history of pissing her off and making her angry, it really is worth it to give her the necessary space she needs when she is at work or just busy with things in general, so as not to piss her off. I should make every moment count with her. And I should try to make every experience I have with her a positive experience. In the end, eventually, it will be those experiences she ends up remembering because they will be at the forefront of her mind. If positive experiences are at the forefront of her mind, then she will begin to see me as not being such a bad guy. And the more she starts to see me as not being such a bad guy, the more positive she will begin to feel about me. And the more positive she begins to feel about me, the more feelings of attraction she will feel for me. And the more attraction she feels for me, the higher my chances of getting her back one day will be. Long, I know. But I hope I illustrated that point in the correct way. I am just hoping for the best that one day, I will be back with my ex girlfriend. I love her more than I love any other girl. And I just hope that she will be mine again one day. I really feel as though I am on the right path. :)
Hey Chris!! So my ex broke up with be 3 days ago bc he said he couldnt take my crap anymore. The crap that he was talking about was how i had been mean to him and how insecure i’ve been about him cheating and I kept asking him if he was bc he had been sexually weird with me for a month. He finally dumped me and i begged for a bit and he kept saying no. Later on in the day my friends told me that he had been cheating on me on ANOTHER snapchat account that he secretly had and it was all just girls. I remember him asking me the day before the break up he said, “how do guys have side chicks and a main gf and not get caught” this was the third time that he has cheated on me even though he said he had learned. It seemed like he loved me and he gave me a lot of affection up until the week of the breakup. I had gotten mean but i still gave him affection bc he promised me he wouldnt smoke and he did behind my back and many more things. After the breakup he went no contact with me and he wouldnt even wanna be friends but he still cheaks all of my snapchat stories.

I have a question. So I was seeing this guy. We dated for a little over a month. I was at his place one night and everything was great. Hi Ashley... just think in terms of little steps. Sometimes these things cannot be rushed.

Hi Penelope...sometimes its the best thing so you can move along your path. But I have had clients who moved on, thinking their ex had moved on, but then sometime in the future they hit the radar screen. Knowing how to manage that is important and is an entirely different conversation.

Like nothing happened. But I can't help but want him to see me as more than a friend. I have so much patience because I don't want to ruin this. Thank you, I have blocked my ex just in the middle of a conversation when he was stating he was missing his ex, after 2 months of us. I replied to him that we could have been so many things together and he didn't give even a chance to us to be what we could be in the future but he already knew his ex and nonetheless decided to leave her. Also told him that he could even go back to his ex, but if he was to come back to me some day, he would have found my door closed. Also added he is heartless. Then blocked him. So, I am glad to see I behaved like I should without even knowing and hopeful to have him back and being sorry. Thank you.

Chris Seiter I have done everything! I do things to improve myself. I date other guys. Yesterday I slept with my ex and wake up next to him. Everything was perfect till a call at his phone from a friend, she told him to go with all their friends outside for dinner, he said yes and I should leave his home! Hi Chris! I'm in 14th day of the NC rule, it's hard but I'm doing my best. But I have thougths that it's exactly what my ex want. He broke up with me when his life was falling apart (family struggles, problems in job and the fact that between us weren't the best). I've told him that probably he is doing that due to situation and negative feelings, he agreeded. He also said that he didsn't give up on us but at the moment he can't get involved as much as I do. I would suggest that you do a minimum of 45 days NC and spend some time with your friends and family understanding that you did not do anything wrong, that you deserve to be treated better.
