That's not always true. My ex truly did everything in his power to get me back, to keep me, and in the end, I still dumped him, despite loving and wanting to be with him, because God gave me the right to reject and not have to settle.

Interesting , since most long distance relationships (of people i know) did NOT end at all. Most couples in fact (which are more than 30 couples at least, probably more , because of my work i have a LOT to do with different people and a lot of them like to talk to me about theyr life somehow) ended up marrying , having kids etc or at least have been in a very good relationship for years. Long distance relationships dont mean you have to life in different countries forever, most of those couples (well one of them each) moved to theyr partners country after between one to 5-6 years. So rarely any of them kept staying with living in different a different country. Fact is though with long distance relationships is ,BOTH have to WANT to keep the relationship. Otherwise NO relationship at all is going to work , no matter if your from the same city , neighbours or on the other side of the earth...

So my ex and I were long distance when he broke up with me 5 months ago, in March. I went no contact shortly after, and didn’t talk to him for about 4 months total. He recently moved back to my town (very out of the blue) and he called me one night a couple weeks ago. I couldn’t believe it. We are now on talking terms and he says that he’d like to be friends while he works on getting himself situated here, but he would like to try a relationship again in the future. I hope that he has good intentions and that things will work out this time. He is giving me mixed signals because he says he wants to talk to me but never reaches out. I think this is mainly just because he is overwhelmed with his new living situation though. So in my case, no contact worked and he’s back in my life. Now it is just time to hope & pray that he’s being honest with me and that he has good intentions and will work with me.

Yep, the plateau is real. Sadly my efforts to reconcile were wasted by my long distance after our breakup. Despite my monthly trips to go see her, it was ultimately futile. She just got used to the distance and cut me off after trying my damndest to fix things for 6 months after our breakup. Sad part is that Day 1 of the breakup began for me 6 months after it began for her, and the “reconciliation” period was just for her to wean herself off of me until she was ready to cut the cord. 10 years, down the drain. Shame to think that it just took 6 months for her to flush 10 years down the drain and move on, no 2nd thoughts.

Since my ex and I are both music lovers and he would send me songs, I know he's on FB a lot so I posted 2 of the first songs that I ever sent him, nothing obvious, just good music by Meatloaf and I posted why I loved Meatloaf's music so much. It takes time, and realizing self worth to move on. I broke up with my ex because she didn’t care I was depressed and just got mad at me for everything. So as much as I loved her I love myself more. As much as it hurt I broke up with her. Even if I didn’t want to. I just knew I couldn’t keep going mentally with a person that was cold to that. Chris Seiter well, it was odd. It came out of nowhere and he told me that he just needed to “grow up by himself” and that the breakup might not be forever. But he could’ve just been trying to let me down easy. At first I kind of begged him not to do this, but he had already made his decision. For 2 weeks after the breakup, I texted him twice trying to talk to him about things but when he seemed not ready to, I stopped. The last time I messaged him was on Easter (it’s been 3 weeks since he broke up with me), and I just told him happy Easter and I said I hope he has a good day. He replied and just said “happy Easter.” So we’re on okay terms, but I just don’t know what to do. It seems like he doesn’t want to talk to me now, even though he said he still cares about me, and so I’ve just been trying not to contact him. Do you think that will work to make him realize he misses me? I was great to him in our relationship and I can’t imagine he won’t regret his harsh decision....

Not in my case. Update: him and the girl stopped talking like a month ago. I was doing no contact for about 3 weeks and then I broke it to ask him if he wanted to go to prom with me since he wasn’t going with her anymore. He said he would come take pictures with me then maybe hang out with me @ prom. Which he did. During prom he asked me to dance with him and all seemed well. Then I made the mistake of asking him if he had feelings for me and he said idk/ not really. And then I asked him to talk about it in person and he was extremely angry throughout the whole conversation and he yelled at me the whole time. He said whenever he sees me I trigger him and just make him annoyed and he can never accept my apology because it doesn’t seem sincere and im only apologizing to try to get him back. He apologized for yelling at me the next day and I’ve had a casual conversation over text with him since then which he seemed engaged in. What should I do from here?
When my ex and I broke up about 2 years ago, she contacted me about 6 months after the breakup. Let's just say I screwed up the peak point 😂. So back into no contact I went and a year and half later I noticed she did things like block and unblock. Created a profile on my Hulu account from an old Roku device we had together. I did reach out at that point because I thought that was weird after 2 years of being broken up with. We texted, met up but after that it's been a text a week from her with no substance and very dry. Even if she is trying to get something going, I don't engage much because it's a red flag enough that she only messages me once a week and at a certain time of night. To me that says she's bored. I will reply to her question or statement but then I'm out. I won't just be someone to boost her ego and provide attention. It's truly disturbing that an ex will still try to mess with your head 2 years after they ended. Like if you want nothing to do with me, go bug someone else.

Bruh mine is a 2 year 4 month long distance relationship together 399miles away LA To Sacramento we met in Mexico vacation never forget she got busy in school dorms Monday through Friday. That way they aren’t left wondering and they can hopefully grow as a person. Luckily for me it was just a miscommunication and we got back together a week after I made this post. We talked it out and we’ve been going strong ever since.

what if they think you cheated because you were just talking to someone your both friends with, and his friend we were both friends with told him i cheated on him with him. when i tried to tell him that i didn’t, he only believed his friend and not me because he said why would he lie about that, but his friend liked me and i told him i had a boyfriend and i didn’t want to be with him, but he told my ex that i liked his friend and that i would break up with him to be with his friend. i feel like i’ll never get him back

The same thing happened to me except with my ex-girlfriend. Was blocked on everything and only had one way to communicate. Until she deleted the only way for us to still message. Interesting , since most long distance relationships (of people i know) did NOT end at all. Most couples in fact (which are more than 30 couples at least, probably more , because of my work i have a LOT to do with different people and a lot of them like to talk to me about theyr life somehow) ended up marrying , having kids etc or at least have been in a very good relationship for years. Long distance relationships dont mean you have to life in different countries forever, most of those couples (well one of them each) moved to theyr partners country after between one to 5-6 years. So rarely any of them kept staying with living in different a different country.
Fact is though with long distance relationships is ,BOTH have to WANT to keep the relationship. Otherwise NO relationship at all is going to work , no matter if your from the same city , neighbours or on the other side of the earth...

We are now on talking terms and he says that he’d like to be friends while he works on getting himself situated here, but he would like to try a relationship again in the future. I hope that he has good intentions and that things will work out this time. He is giving me mixed signals because he says he wants to talk to me but never reaches out. I think this is mainly just because he is overwhelmed with his new living situation though. So in my case, no contact worked and he’s back in my life. Now it is just time to hope & pray that he’s being honest with me and that he has good intentions and will work with me.

Yep, the plateau is real. Sadly my efforts to reconcile were wasted by my long distance after our breakup. Despite my monthly trips to go see her, it was ultimately futile. She just got used to the distance and cut me off after trying my damndest to fix things for 6 months after our breakup.
Sad part is that Day 1 of the breakup began for me 6 months after it began for her, and the “reconciliation” period was just for her to wean herself off of me until she was ready to cut the cord. 10 years, down the drain. Shame to think that it just took 6 months for her to flush 10 years down the drain and move on, no 2nd thoughts.

I took a deep breath and your advice Chris. Since my ex and I are both music lovers and he would send me songs, I know he's on FB a lot so I posted 2 of the first songs that I ever sent him, nothing obvious, just good music by Meatloaf and I posted why I loved Meatloaf's music so much. That was a both a baby and huge step for me, because I feel like the girl who sees her school crush and ducks into the bathroom. I know to take it slow and give myself more time to heal a little more, but I've never been this scared to talk to anyone ever, so thank you for the encouragement and pat on the back. It takes time, and realizing self worth to move on. I broke up with my ex because she didn’t care I was depressed and just got mad at me for everything. So as much as I loved her I love myself more. As much as it hurt I broke up with her. Even if I didn’t want to. I just knew I couldn’t keep going mentally with a person that was cold to that. I have been growing out of her influences which I took in because I wanted to keep her more than she wanted to keep me. She hated when I started to be me again and not what she wanted me to be for her.

Chris Seiter well, it was odd. It came out of nowhere and he told me that he just needed to “grow up by himself” and that the breakup might not be forever. But he could’ve just been trying to let me down easy. At first I kind of begged him not to do this, but he had already made his decision. For 2 weeks after the breakup, I texted him twice trying to talk to him about things but when he seemed not ready to, I stopped. The last time I messaged him was on Easter (it’s been 3 weeks since he broke up with me), and I just told him happy Easter and I said I hope he has a good day. He replied and just said “happy Easter.” So we’re on okay terms, but I just don’t know what to do. It seems like he doesn’t want to talk to me now, even though he said he still cares about me, and so I’ve just been trying not to contact him. Do you think that will work to make him realize he misses me? I was great to him in our relationship and I can’t imagine he won’t regret his harsh decision....

Update: him and the girl stopped talking like a month ago. Give him his belongings back and continue to do no contact to day 45 where you focus on yourself and not your ex where you make sure you are happy in your life, working on parts you are not satisfied with right now. And then reach out to your ex with a text that I suggest called a Hook text, there are videos on my channel to help with this

Does the 3-7 months start from the initial breakup? Because my ex and I have stayed in touch and are still in touch regularly but we don’t have that official label. We both aren’t seeing anyone else but are free to do what we want. And we both still have feelings for one another. I’m ready to start NC as I want a commitment. We’ve known each other for 3 1/2 years. We dated for 2 years. Broke up for 6 weeks, got back together for a month, broke up again, and have still been in each other’s lives since. Hi Stephanie! Sometimes one has to change strategies if what you have done in the past is not getting traction. Employing NC in the correct way an accomplish a lot. Just be sure you implement in accordance with the way I teach it in my Program as there are many elements to doing correctly in my view.
I didn’t even do anything and was fully blocked. I never begged or reached out to my ex. She blocked me during no contact everywhere after I changed my bio on Instagram. She had already unfollowed me a month ago but blocked me now. It’s petty and immature.

So we had dated for 3 weeks, went on a weekend getaway to Ruidoso then when we came back he started getting distant but never stopped talking completely until he asked for time to think things through bc he has been hurt before & got scared to get close to someone again. Then he went quiet for 4 days but still looked at my snap story. I texted him to check in & we were wonderful for another week & things were good & we were getting each other xmas gifts. Definitely. Now for the long be awaited justice as the burden becomes as I said it would and no sweetheart to forgive ,just a work donkey be should have stayed contraceptive free,milion kids and poverty where he was. A prison made for themselves and I'm choosing what I want this time.
Takes time people but I have a free life and money to buy what I like despite being Ill sometimes. I want friends and lovers that don't leave when you are Ill and say it's too stressful,in agony is horrible , the feelings are gone . He did nothing to cause any goodness to make me feel different. His loss,I'm still a beautiful woman and intelligent and sweet💖 replace that.
