Rebecca, I’ve been watching your channel for years now and I know you’ve spoken about you/your family being Palestinian.I just want to say, sincerely, I’ve been thinking about you and your family this week. I have no words better than that to say because I don’t think there are any.
This ❤
Thank you so much. It’s been very hard to continue working on content with everything going on. A few of these mornings I didn’t even want to get out of bed. Thankfully, my family is safe for now. But my heart aches for everybody being harmed.
@@bodegacatx sending you so much love. If you need to take a break for any reason or need to speak up, you know we will be here for you.
Sending lots of love
Thank you, I appreciate you guys
I miss the UK! So many eg and egan options everywhere! Even at pubs and I miss jacket potatoes! The trick to decent coffee in the UK is AVOID all drip coffee. It is bad, bad bad bad. Get an Americano. That is the only option for good coffee! I love this travel series! I love the UK so much, my sister lived there for 4 years and I got to visit a bunch of times!
Ohhh is that the hack? Thank you!! I’m used to getting drip coffee. And yes! I think vegan options are so much more widely available here!
@@bodegacatx yes! That is the hack to good American style coffee anywhere in Europe. If you are still there, give it a try and give us an update! I think my favorite thing about food places in the UK is that they look at you like you are mad if you ask if the rice is vegetarian, since most restaurants in the US cook rice in chicken stock, everywhere I ate there, did not cook their rice in chicken stock, same with soups. If a soup is a vegetable soup, it is vegetarian, if it is seafood it doesn’t have beef stock or chicken stock. Much easier to navigate menus.also, ALL of the halal or parve friendly gummies!!! So easy to spot the vegetarian gummy candy there.
This is so embarrassing for me bc I love that questionable sandwich… it’s like £3 for lunch though!!! If you can bare to try another sandwich option then tesco includes a vegan version of kinder bueno (called LoveRaw) in the meal deal and it’s incredible
How embarrassing is it when someone hates something that you love 😂
I would love to try, loveraw! I’ll keep an eye out for it. And don’t be embarrassed! It’s just a difference in taste!
@@bodegacatx we also have the loveraw here in Aus now! Of course they are priced through the roof but if you need hooking up you know your viewers will have your back
omg yess, I remover having it and the loveraw bar are lovely, truly
I think it's awesome that you travel alone to London. These vlogs are fun. & can you please tell me where you got that black tank top that you're wearing at the gym? thanks
Thank you! It’s from buff bunny! I got it during a sale 🙌🏽
@@bodegacatx thanks 💚
Those estate sale pants are my favorite on you. They’re the cutest
I love them so much too!
My girl is missing her Bustelo!
Yes I ammmmmm
OMG I haven't watched yet but I have to comment, I LOVE foreign grocery stores, you could film 10 hours of that content and I would watch it 🤣🤣🤣
Oh, I really should just explore some supermarkets for Content 👀
@@bodegacatx would LOVE english supermarket content! i follow THIS (brand of fake sausages and bacon etc) on ig, and it looks amazing!
Same omg
I can see you as a London girly, hoping you get to visit Brighton it is literal vegan heaven by the sea and only a 1 hour by train
I’ve enjoyed London more than I thought I would! And while I’m not leaving it this trip, I hope to explore further out in the future
That transition clip from Times Square to Big Ben was amazing 🤣
Thank you! I had a vision and I’m so glad I was able to execute it well. I’m not usually great at transitions.
the thumbnail pic... major slay
Thank you!
I love that Time Square/Big Ben transition so much!!
Thank you!
That Alpro Greek yogurt is the best. I love it. I wish I could get it in the States.
I liked it too! The texture is a little bit too silky if that makes sense? But at least it’s not strangely bitter like the kite Hill Greek yogurt
Looking snatched! 😂👍🏾
Those vlogs bring me so much joy 🌞
Aww I’m glad!
I love that they have so many vegan options.
Coffee in London ass? Wow, i thought NYC coffee was terrible by British standards, Crazy how what your used to changes your preference.
Haha so true! But I did have a really nice latte at Mildred’s today so I take it back!
Love your travel content. I like Wicked ice cream, but I have not enjoyed any of their other products so far. Maybe consider trying the ice cream if you haven't?
I too like their ice cream! But not any of their other meals
Enjoyed this so much; it almost feels like you moved there, ha! Sorry the meal deal sandwich wasn't to your liking, but I guess it can be like gas station food here. Vegan food in the UK has the advantage of being soooooo much cheaper than here, which always amazes me. Hope you had a safe return home, if that's happened already, and thanks for posting : )
Oh yes. It’s pretty similar to gas station food. But it’s even priced better than gas station food. And the sides were really good.
i glad you worked on yourself you look amazingly pretty now
This is such a weird thing to say to someone
“… this questionable sandwich” 😂 love it
Haha it was like a gas station sandwich. But for the price, I’m not complaining
me: not lettuce and ketchup 🤭😬🤯💀then again I would have it on a cheeseburger but something about that combo on a sandwich made me not like the combo hahaha
I was working with what I had 😂😂
That Tesco hoisin duck wrap honestly made me want to vomit when I had it. So I think the sandwich was still a better choice.😂 This makes me miss the UK though, so many options compared to Australia :(
I definitely want to try another sandwich before I go!
We also have Vegan Krispy Kreme doughnuts here
Yesss I saw! I’d love to try some while I’m here.
❤❤❤
💚
What hotel did you stay at?
Im house sitting for someone
The protein you were drinking looks like Milo 😂
It does haha
That Emperor's New Groove reference tho 🤌
Our childhood lol
Also, Boots do some good vegan meal deals I believe
Never heard of boots! But I’ll keep an eye out for it!
@@bodegacatx it’s a chemist but they also do meal deals
This had me laughing at the end! It's meant to be a tofu scramble in the sandwich (like scrambled eggs for breakfast with sausages/ketchup) but I was the exact same when I first bought it. But now I kind of love it because it's great when you want something filling and in the mood for 3 shades of beige plus ketchup, which is pretty much a standard British meal haha
Honestly, for the price I’m not complaining. But I do want to try another sandwich before I go!
@Veganbodegacat Boots (a pharmacy/shop but also has a lunch section) has a vegan chicken salad sandwich and also does a meal deal. Sainsburys sometimes have a vegan BLT (VLT) which is decent. I wouldn't say any of them are winning awards but at least most shops have options now for us 😄
Jet lag gotcha!!!
For real
One coffee place I can vouch for is Monmouth Coffee! So, have you noticed there are no more 24-gyms in NYC?!?
I’ll keep an eye out for that one!
And yes! I have noticed. Even the 24 hour one I used to go to closes at 11 now :(
Honestly, quick meals on trips are always hit or miss, nothing in between :D I am glad you were able to put together some filling snacks though, not so easy when you cannot make much from scratch!
the thumbnail is soo good!
Thank you!
sandwich descriptions always in teeny writing on the back... for your inteerest it was: Lincolnshire style meat-free sausage coins with wheat and pea protein, faba bean alternative to mayonnaise, tofu, tomato relish, smoked tofu and smoke flavoured pea and wheat protein pieces in malted bread. xx
It SOUNDS good 😂 edit: ok it looks bad. I'm sure it would be better as soon as it was made though!
Oh thank you! I definitely recognize the sausage, but that fava alternative to mayonnaise was not a vibe and I didn’t see any tofu at all 😂 That being said, for the price, I’m not actually complaining. You get what you pay for
"Coffee was ass here" 😂😂😂😂
I’ve had a couple good ones since then haha
❤
I love mooless! Vanilla is the best flavor though I really enjoy that. The weird aftertaste I only sensed from the other flavors with chocolate
MEAL DEALS ARE THE BEST! i used to live in London and miss them so much
They’re so awesome!
That Emperor's New Groove reference tho 🤌
Great vlog, review, and outfits as always. I didn't know you got down in the gym like that. lol. More workout vlogs soon? haha.
Thank you! And yeah, I lift heavy about 5/6 days a week. I just don’t post about it.
Not sure you want to Time Square 😜
loving these london vlogs!! I don't know if you're still there but Black Cat Café in Hackney used to be my absolute favourite place when I lived in london, the food's soo good and incredibly affordable for london :)
That place is definitely on my list! Don’t know if I’ll get the chance to go but if not, definitely when I come back
Welcome to the UK beautiful Rebecca and enjoy your trip. Yes, we have great vegan food here and I don’t drink coffee from coffee shops/cafes/restaurants much. The gym group is a UK wide chain because there is one in my area. Love 🥰 the video and love 💞 Rebecca. If you want water that isn’t hard water in the UK you'll need to visit Scotland.
One day I'd love to visit!
I love London! It is very vegan friendly, even fast food chains that don't have vegan in the US. I really enjoyed this video. Oh, just to let you know, there is a British store in the West Village on Hudson street called Meyers. I found vegan sausage rolls there, and little vegan vegetable curry pies! Check it out.
Thank you! We also have Meyers’s in the us. But i dont know if it’s the same one haha. Yea yea! I’ve found it to be very vegan friendly
Go ahead and complain that food looks scary ,lol! It was the same for me in India my friend said don't eat the street food so I survived on a potato dish and bottled coke at the hotel for five days oy vey I think I still got a little bit of delhi belly,! Lol
Food is an adventure when traveling
Rebecca, love this. You are the real deal. It’s nice to see a fellow solo traveler. It’s the best. Glad you did this for yourself.
Thank you
as an ex strictly vegan i can promise u that regular milk does have a weird bitter taste when you havent had it in 3 years enough to make me switch back to soy milk so sounds like they nailed it
Damn I don’t remember that. But also I never drank much milk before I went vegan. I was more of a cheese person. I guess they did nail it then.
also soy isnt really a thing here - all the vegans I know drink oat milk. the soy options aren't good! the most popular drink is an oat flat white for sure.
Oh interesting!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I'm jealous, the UK is in my bucket list 😊
if ur vegan the vegan products during the holidays been popping I actually can't wait to go back soon, to get my hands on some, and do a try out food video for my RUclips channel
Glad you said that about Wicked! I’ve been so disappointed with everything I’ve tried.
Someone did correct me about the ice cream though. They have a good ice cream.
But all of their instant noodles and other dishes, I’ve had have not been great
❤
❤
Wicked ice cream is sooo good
No I agree. Their icecream is great.
I think it’s just the savory things from them that I don’t like. I had the icecream at an expo and it was delicious
