Cool update! Yeah I could see the traditional 5 and 8 minute races be changed for Losi nascar with a similar race theme by having multiple batteries and racing them to near full drained heat stages for stage points and a full drain main! Lots of possibilities from the normal races!
Alright Chad, NASCAR Dude here took your advice and jumped in; I can now talk intelligently about about these cars. Up front, the Kit is the real deal and comes with everything you need to start racing - the one I received has no issues, sorry about your luck Pal! Much respect for your perseverance. The Good: the car does not want to turn, does not want to accelerate and does not want to stop - that pretty much sums up driving a true Stock Car - we can check-off that box. It does respond to small changes - all race cars must respond in a predictable manner to changes and this car does that, check that box. I play with mine in the street in front of the house; it is stupid how much fun you can have anywhere with these cars. The Bad: real Goodyear Racing Eagle's are amazing tires - but these ain't them. There is no one-size-fits all in racing tires, but these come damn close to it. They work on about any surface, but they are not good on any of them. Losi has checked that box for a Stock Car for us; the tire has no inter-sidewall. The Ugly: it like racing 'Little Red Wagons' having your older brothers push you - there is zero adjustment in the chassis for the four corners. And then there is Spectrum, which I won't get into. We all can think of a number of improvements, but need support in the parts department - by hook or crook. Conclusion: out of the box fun! a home run. I don't care what people agree on, but I find the car left wanting. I will play along until the fun runs out of it. Chuck
Also a LOT of variance speed wise out of the box. We ran three cars right out of the box with three of our best drivers running rotating between them. There was over a half second / lap difference between the cars. That would be several laps difference between them on our track / mains length.
@@MX304 Thanks for the reply; there is no bad info! I took mine apart before I drove it and put put a test setup in it, and the car drove as expected -like total crap. Looked at what the tires were doing, thru a big change at it and 90% of the ill went away. I ain't done thinking about or testing it, but when a car reacts to a purposeful change like this did - there is a lot more here. And mine is out of the box too.
@@Dorkyand40 Chad, NASCAR Dude Testing tip: take a Paint Pen and mark 5 dots across all four tires and run the car - you can read the tires the same as reading the tires on any race car.
FYI, if you have the Spektrum charger and smart battery, you can turn off the Auto Storage discharge function in the battery or set it to begin between 12 to 240 hours after the last charge.
What did you end up with for your diff fluid in the rear just cleaned out and freed up as much as possible or would that be to loose so your left rear would just be spinning if it comes off the carpet a little bit
mmm. i would have to watch again. didnt think it was a persons page and not a community page? i think back then my frustration was that there was a mods page and yet everyone only spoke and complained about box stock and then there was only wrap pics..which is fine and cool if thats peoples thing. it wasnt for me. those pages get a little wild for my taste these days as i have no time for keyboard arguments :) sorry if it was taken personal though so dont think of it that way
@ gotcha. Well, I am always looking for good mods and the discussion should be fully open to all things Losi NASCAR. But yeah, if 70-75% of the community is running box stock local races, then naturally, most the convo will be geared towards they.
Thats awesome.....all that hard work paid off with both cars......😎👍
thanks paul. its been a lot :) hard to keep all these cars going sometimes

We’ve done some different races with tt02 and it was a blast. Survival lol
Thanks for the info I’m gonna try the electrical tape idea at my next race. And I just have to ask what’s the deal the white F1 car in the background?
thats my xray 2024 f1 for on road. check out the videos on it on the channel. i do on road racing with it and a 1/12 scale gt12
Always look forward to your content. Also, we are gonna start testing the Holmes Hobbies 18T motor. It's only a couple more bucks than the stock one.
Thank you so much. Hope that works good. Sounds like another great option.

30 weight ae
Ae?
Bout time you posted. lol. Good weekends.
lol. It was ok. One class led to a really boring time. Socializing with you and the peeps is really the best part.
What bearings do you recommend?
if youre going to spend the time taking them aparts i would pony up for the sortafast bearing kit and youll be good. pricey but the best
I like using tri flow
Heat bag and using a non spektrum charger 10 amp on oval cars insane for first 10 laps
good stuff
yes sir
Unfortunate that you think most of the stuff on my Losi Nascar page is garbage. What is the stuff you are seeing that you would rather not see?

Put your batteries in the microwave to warm them ! Ha !
if the track or wife allows it??
