What you just Saw is what's called mutual aid, whenever a massive fire happens out in the county, many volunteers and regular fire departments will respond
@@TheWXRadioCollecterthe white gmc appears to be a pov vehicle from a neighboring department. Usually could be a deputy, chief, or a chief responding in their POV. They can have sirens and red and blue lights. I believe sometimes depending on what department regulation say.
@@TheWXRadioCollecter also kid you have no idea what you're talking about the regular civilian vehicles are POV vehicles usually in an instant you can respond with your personal vehicle if you are a officer for the fire station basically what that means is you are your own assigned vehicle? Basically it's your vehicle you have an officer radio and you can respond with your POV if you can't make it to the station and make it on the truck, depending on department regulations
Not all of them are off “e-bay” a lot are from professional emergency service contractors that make lights like Whelen, Federal Signal, star signal, code 3, etc. I got my lights on my POV from Rosenbauer. 430 dollar visor lights and I got them for free.
I watched this on my TV it was amazing. The units were responding with high speed which made it even better. The siren on the truck is meant to be like that by the way
6:56 I also heard a pickup truck’a siren sound just like this. And if there’s a car like in 8:45, then there’s got to be an Acura mdx police interceptor
@@DA_TV71 eh I mean not really. interceptor/pursuit/etc builds are very specific. All the volunteer responses were just civilian cars with little magnet bars (maybe not the trucks, looks like they have their full sized bars on a back rack), and of course since police cars have their needs, they're built, tuned, function differently. you can't just throw in a few radios and full siren in any center console :)
I’ve had a couple Mutual Aid responses in my time.. hm. They definitely yanked the rope and did a High Priority call for looks to be the entire county😂 holy shit man. My biggest mutual aid I had was of course my department and 5 others. Good catch! Pretty rare where I’m from.
In my first year and a half with my department I wound up on 2 separate mutual aid calls that drew responses from multiple counties, one of which even resulted in calls to agencies up in Canada to respond into my state to provide station coverage for a couple of towns. The Canadians got lucky and caught a structure fire while on that coverage assignment 😂
So I'd recommend cutting the time between responses down significantly to where the cars/apparatus are closer and the siren is audible, and try to keep the phone/camera steady at least for when someone is responding. The enthusiasm is fun, but try to keep it for in between responses :)
Ok! I’ll try to cut the time between responses. The reason why I record early is because I don’t wanna miss them blasting the horn or them starting the good siren/Federal Q. And the reason why the phone is so shaky is because when I’m excited I start to become shaky and I don’t have a stand to keep my phone still.
@@TheWXRadioCollecter if you take a look at one of my response videos, it will be a good example on certain videos of times to start a clip. I’ll tend to start at a good point where the loop cycles. And yeh I understand that part. I used to shoot for multi million dollar cars, and when I got to that point I shook due to the excitement. Try holding it close to the center of your chest while holding it with both hands
Also, at 6:50 (starting) that siren on the Chevrolet Pickup is an actual produced siren system model and it’s supposed to sound like that. Forgot what brand and model but I’ve heard a siren like that before. Pretty sure one of my fellow volunteers has that type of siren.
Ever heard of the response term called “Priority Response”? Maybe people should start listening and watching. Emergency vehicle accidents, especially involving Fire apparatus aren’t caused by the driver of the apparatus. It’s 99% of the time caused by people.
Volunteers= I'd take Volunteers over any tax payer paid, bloated, grossly mismanaged government ran cluster screw anyway of the week. That includes Police.

I love the enthusiasm from you guys. Reminds me when I was young. Keep doing what your doing guys. Awesome catches.

Dang!! We had the whole county in our backyard. At a house for a fire. One Christmas Eve. The kitchen got on fire.
