From Reg - Growing Straight eight cucumbers for the first time from a plant

This year is the first-time planting straight eight cucumbers in my garden. Lots of vine growth but very few cucumbers. Might get a few more before the vines completely succumb to disease.

I switched to a burpless variety the next year. The straight 8 gave me a lot, but if I didn't baby the plant the cucumbers would be bitter.
