Awesome video with professionals! I will say one thing that had me a touch worried is the last few reps Kyron couldn't help but lock out his knees leading to a very uncomfortable position. All that said though, awesome stuff!
They legit tortured Kyron lol and he ate it like a champ.. His effort was extremely impressive and shows why he's one of the best. He pushed himself until his legs physically gave out and he couldn't think straight lol. Very inspiring and wishing him continued success.
If you're in the US, look for a YMCA fitness center, they are nationwide and most have multiple rooms of equipment, both isolation and free weight. Never been to one that didn't have hack squat, leg press sled, multiple squat platforms, etc.
You can achieve more or less the same effect with a smith machine, feet forward. Still not ideal, but it's the technique and intensity that matter not the equipment. Plenty of people with enormous legs who never touched anything other than a barbell. Plenty of people with huge legs who've never squatted a day in their entire lives.
When I go to the gym this is what I do: overload by 1 rep from x machine from 50-60-70-80-90%-max weight handled until reaching higuest weight possible then I go backwards unloading: 3-4 reps using 100% max weight, then 3-4 reps with 90%-80-70-60-50-40% max weight. Then 1 isometric rep using 80-90% max weight as 30s-1min second isometric. Then I move to the next machine and repeat the same exact strategy, keeping control on both uploading and unloading phase. Also apply same strategy using dumbells and bars. By doing this I achieved faster progressive strengh+volume+tone+everything else. Per machine and muscle area and overall. This is my perfected strategy. I'm not scientists, I'm a retired elite soccer player+swimmer+model with 8 years of experience, trained by other scientists😉.

S/o to team full ROM on incorporating the latest studies with the partials even though it may go against what full ROM was all about to an extent
I like it cuz the whole thing with it now is you do full ROM till you can't do full ROM and then you do those stretched partials
its not against full rom
The only acceptable way to use partial reps is after being tired from full rom reps.
Dr. Mike elaborated this in an interview.
Even though I personally don't completely agree with the whole lengthened partials thing.
