No regrets on how i approached this race. The plan is to get a good position in front before the neutral is over, but given the road condition and volume of riders in this particular race, I admit i was scared, cautious and decided that my health (well being) and wealth (my job) is not worth sacrificing to execute those risky maneuver.
Plan B is to progressively bridge the gap from 1 group to another.
Manage to form a group of brave soul riders willing to take turn and execute a chase but those 1st group formed together has just too much fire power in the tank.
Truly indeed there are a lot of strong riders and perhaps my level of fitness is just not there to join and last in the front group.
Settled for a sportive pace but unfortunately punctured at the 107km marked (No immediate help acquired)
Ended my ride at 107km and DNF!!!
Congrats to those who risk it all and put in the books a top performance......
