As a sailor, having a rage-induced godzilla chasing you in the water would be terrifying.

That evil smile, like "is that all you got?"...that's terrifying.
Godzilla smiling…that actually makes his rampage worst. He’s not rampaging because he’s confused or lashing out, he’s being vindictive. And he wants them to know it.
@@magicaltour1its basically the Monsterverse concept, except G isn't humanity's friend.
"Your magic is weak"
Godzilla: Run... (charges up)
I actually dislike the monsters having expressions, I liked Cloverfield where the monster was just batshit crazy and was lashing out with no motive other than being a bull in a China shop.
A monster of that size is scary enough, but the fact that you can see its face and its eyes are actively focusing on you makes it SO much more terrifying.
Saw this video explaining godzilla history and it said the creator of him wanted his eyes to be the scariest eyes he could find and they were fish eyes. Haha
A kaiju holding direct eye contact with you is terrifying enough, the king of kaiju? Yeah ill go ahead and have a heart attack now
I saw the movie. Godzilla looks terrifying. Them eyes are mad creepy lol
Reminds me of that one Godzilla analog horror
@@greatwavefan397 im sorry, what? Godzilla analog horror? I haven't heard of that. Is it amateur made or is there some sorta studio behind it? Wait im getting ahead of myself i love analog horror. Any idea where i can find it?
i love that they managed to find a really nice blend between the old godzilla appearance and something more modern/realistic. it looks REEEEEALLY good, and more terrifying, without sacrificing his more iconic design
I totally agree!
They basically mixed the Japanese and Legendary models.... Very nice indeed my friend. I can't wait for this movie
This
Yeah, this Godzilla looks a bit more realistic and scarier than the previous couple of Godzillas featured in the past movies that had disproportionally huge bodies and a rinky dinky head that was barely noticeable.
@@AnxietyRanger ..., THAT & OR THE OTHER?!!!!!!!!!!!!!. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!. HUUUUUHHHHH?!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I like how they made him smaller but not too small and the thing with his dorsal plates is really cool
He is still enormous when compared to Legendary's version despite of the later being 400 feet tall.

I really miss those times when they used to give a Godzilla movie marathon on Thanksgiving back in the 80s!
Have a DVD with like 6 or 7 Godzilla movies. It's like 13 hours of Godzilla.

He's f*cking smiling. He's not attacking in fear and confusion like shin. But instead he's attacking cause it probably amuses him
Also, love how this design have a very Heisei era Godzilla vibes to it. So cool.
Heisei is one of iconic toho godzilla
that and the proportions and the way the shoulders/neck blend together feels alot like the MV design too
I love the heisei Era especially godzilla vs destroyah
The best era imo
@@KothSam I think so too
Its truly horrifying being actively chased by Godzilla. The last time I remember a Kaiju actively chasing people was Zilla in 1998. Pacific Rim to some extent.

Ghidorah chasing that one woman in the 2019 film?
The Meg Even though was a shark

"It's truly horrifying being actively chased by godzilla."
Erm.... godzilla's not real or you know something we don't.
It’s so cool that we see Godzilla in the water more! Making him a more aquatic monster like his origins.
Godzilla movies never get old. Been watching them all my life.
This one is almost as official as the 1970 version though. Like a remaster redone version of that... Plus we have overpowered comic crossover Godzilla and Kong over here in the West that has the Asian folks from the east support as well. Good times man good times.

It's amazing to me how many times a single monster was redesigned and reinvented so many times through history, all with unique differences, while also keeping the more iconic elements intact.
Best Godzilla movie ever 😊❤❤
I hope this comes to theaters in the US. The recent Godzilla movies have become so immersive on the big screen. This one will be intense!
It's actually debuting in US theatres this December.
Nov 29th(WED) is opening night for US. You can already preorder tix , I copped mine 2 weeks ago.
I just saw it tonight it's absolutely amazing

From the old to the new, Godzilla is my monster. ❤
Godzilla Minus One's atomic breath is the single best atomic breath.
This was one of the best godzillas I’ve ever seen, maybe the best one
Imagine you’re a farmer trying to make a living hauling in fish.
Just to get chased by a 393 foot iguana on steroids.
That's just 1998 movie
My honest reaction knowing I'ma die too guys I caught a big one let's fish him up because just I know I'll die so I'll just fish my last fish maybe I'll get lucky like the fisher man from 1998 movie zilla
More like a Komodo Dragon but point still stands lol
I loved how this ones spikes extended when it was about to breathe atomic breath.
The opening scene was insane. When Godzilla was a baby, it was absolutely terrifying.
Saw the movie tonight, it was incredible! Very dark!

The entire first water battle is terrifying.
Seeing that 1990's style face again is nostalgic beyond belief! That was my favorite Godzilla!
They brought back the Heisei design and gave it menace energy
I aboslutely love the detail on this godzilla model. You really can see everything from the expression in its eyes to the close up look of its skin. Honestly, bravo to the design department. Then again, Toho would know how to treat their child right.
The scene swimming towards the boat is so menacing
I’m glad the shrunk him back down. The reboot Godzilla was just ridiculous
Saw the movie. I’m sure bring Godzilla cruising on the water with his eye focused on you it truly scary. Saw the movie. ❤❤❤❤❤ ❤
The movie is bad ass!!! Seen it twice already
My friend saw this movie the other day. He told me he enjoyed it. He said the story was actually good!
Totally reminds me of Jaws.
Jawzilla
I just watched it on Netflix. It totally has a Jaws feel to it.
Those eyes bro!
I'm truthfully really digging Godzilla's design in this movie. He looks like a modern update Heisei version of himself with the Monsterverse skin texture, and it looks really cool.
As a boat, this would be absolutely terrifying.
I can’t stand how they make godzilla humanity’s savior in the monsterverse movies. Thank goodness Toho is schooling the bozos in Hollywood what godzilla is supposed to be
Exactly! Monsterverse is straight up garbage.
Tell me you haven't watched any of Toho's classics without telling me you haven't watched any of Toho's classics:
Bro, Legendary did not invent the hero Godzilla, Toho did that way back in 1964 and kept it up to 1975. Godzilla was also potrayed as a benevolent monster in 1994. Legendary just chose this potrayal that Toho has already done, and Toho and Legendary are allies and they both agree with one another's views.
Beloved Zilla
This looks like to be a prime example of a modern day Godzilla and I love it
I am haunted by those eyes!! They were petrifying 😢
I loved it❤❤❤
I just realized that Godzilla face design looks just Godzilla 2000’s 🙌
As a certified hair dryer expert, I can say being chased after, by Godzilla is usually not a good thing.
Just awesome, Minus looks like my favorite Godzilla from the nineties, but with a lot more details!! Forward Gojira!!!
Spot on👌
A great movie!!! OMG..this new Godzilla has tremendous pressure, because this movie was a solid 9 out of 10.
I watched the movie in japan at the beginning of the film they give homage to that movie in another way not gonna spoil it but be ready this movie was epic the perfect godzilla movie
This movie was amazing!
This Godzilla is the most brutal and aggressive Godzilla of all time and his t.n.d.b. is so powerful. Stronger than any Godzilla to date. But what set this goji aside from all others is his eyes. His eyes focusing on humans was unnerving because never has Godzilla ever been seen focusing on humans. Yes he looks at humans with costum eyes but this made him more animalistic and more realistic than any other even legendary goji.
What makes this godzilla Really Terrifying Is His Atomic Beam , The Explosion 💥 Destructive AF
The new look is really good ,very life like now , finally..
Thank God for technology 😁
If they keep making Godzilla big with each movie his head should be in space in 40 years.
It came out on the 3rd of November here in Japan. It's a looooooonnng story, before godzilla makes his appearance, but to be expected from Toho.
The boat scene was absolutely terrifying, the boat is dropping mines trying to hurt him, and they do, but it's Godzilla! He heals. I guess it will come out in December for everyone else. But I enjoyed it. I'm telling you all now. If you are used to the American versions, Toho cinemas Godzilla is NOT the same, stiff movements, but also awesome.
the way they handled his atomic breath in this movie was fantastic, it felt so real. that was a devastating scene, idk how ol girl survived with those minimal injuries
@@richpolite Toho Cinemas 😂
I'm American. I hate the American version of Godzilla. He's an obese iguana with a hormone problem. 🤢
He moved more smoothly in the beginning, but apparently my friends were telling me that when someone is exposed to radiation burns, their joints stiffen and their muscles contract and they end up looking like a burnt rigid corpse... Which is how Godzilla looks right after firing his atomic breath.
I don't know what you were expecting but surely he was in the wrecking spree on the island at the start of the film.🤔
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the production studio from making all the new Godzilla movies I love them I think the CGI is fantastic and we need more monster movies like this to show the kids that like we grew up with
I cannot wait to see this in theaters
Godzilla is more than cosmetic upgrades.
Man big boy looks sick
The design looks like a hyper stylized version of the 90s godzilla
I love it
Can't wait to watch it again I like the emotions the movie bring you, can't wait to see what will happen next. I love Godzilla movies I've been watching Godzilla since I was a little girl, I grew up watching Godzilla with my mom and, my uncles and grandfather would sit in my moms living room and they would watch every Godzilla movie.
Gotta say they did an amazing job making this Godzilla scary af. To me Godzilla was always this cool badass Kaiju but now for the first time he was genuinely scary af.
This looks like Godzilla attacking Japan pre-WWII…that would be a pretty humbling for the Empire of the Rising Sun.
This is actually post WW2 Japan, it says it in the first trailer
It takes place in 1946 very shortly after the end of the war
@@metoo3342Does that mean the American occupation force is going to play some role in this? Or is it strictly going to be Japanese soldiers? I know it's a weird question but I'm wondering if their going to throw in any historical revisions in this.
This is after WWII probably directly caused by the bombs
@@Ryan.2 historical revisionism regarding WW2 and its aftermath? In a Japanese movie? No way! lol (like you said, not like it matters, it's a giant lizard movie)
What level of CGI do they have???coz that looks so fucking amazing
The reason why Toho Godzilla looks amazing is because they dont rely entirely on CGI alone. Instead they prefer practical effects and their Godzilla is actually a monster instead of action hero😅

Agreed the Monsterverse lore is way more interesting than the shallow (monster rampaging just because Japan is fun to destroy) theme.
Hopefully Godzilla 2024 is darker but continues expanding the lore.
Legendary King of the monsters was the best movie to watch in the cinema. It was one of those experiences that sticks with you for the rest of your life. My father has seen some very crazy things in life and he told me afterwards that this was 1 of the craziest… he was very happy that he could experience it with us and he even rewatches king of the monsters to this day.
But having to put up with subtitles (through the entire movie) put's me off considering watching it..
Minus one godzilla movie was, a pretty good movie. Cool special effects.
Boy Godzilla is giving us that light skin stare.🤨

I loved this movie ..I loved that they focused on fear ..
I like he still has his original look all old school Godzilla were bad ass his fighting moves were hilarious sometimes he do a two step and punch the other monster in the face 😂
That scene in the movie is insanely tense

Godzilla should be a horror movie. The Monsterverse Godzilla films made it a action disaster movie. Godzilla Minus One looks like they’re making Godzilla scary again.
i think the action and fighting is apart of the movies its good in my opinion
Warning: Disney kids don't watch this movie is only for adult's not for kids watch american godzilla instead of this movie😎😈
It should be but Japan made it an action series first.
It was good. The horror aspect was there.
lol Are y’all forgetting the Showa era, the kiddiest version of Godzilla? Or the Heisei era, which is mostly action disaster. Not every Godzilla adaptation is the same. Monsterverse is better than both of the recent anime, showa era, and millennium era. Don’t be hating on Hollywood just cuz it’s Hollywood. They have plenty of real things to sh!t on them for.
The movie is freaking epic!!!
We are gonna need a big boat 🦈 😅
Japanese Zilla is always ridiculous! 🤣
It has a very strong “Jaws” vibe.

Still do today.
Japan did something great with making the world fall in love with a destructive kaiju

Really enjoyed Minus One, broight back the feeling the Old godzilla movies had. Rarely does he care about humans on a specific individual level but when he does its scary.
Legendary's doesn't care about humans at all, it's his world and we're just fairy flies buzzing in it
