Im shocked I've never heard anyone mention Crew Chief in any of these videos.. cant race without a spotter in my ear. Having car radar is nice but having someone tell you you're clear, or there's a crash ahead, or the guy behind is gaining, without changing where I'm looking makes all the difference to me

@@SimRacing604 yea but so many people in multiplayer just have no awareness and run you off/squeeze you off the track or just go straight into you when your wheel to wheel. In ACC i think helicorsa is default and your can turn it off

The 911 rsr was my favorite imsa car when i went to the last Long Beach grand prix. The only car that made you realize that you should probably be wearing ear plugs
I had the same experience with the cup cars at the 2018 Canadian GP...they were shockingly violent sounding. And I have serviced and driven 997.5 and 991 GT3 RS's..i was still shocked

There is a fix for it, just search assetto corsa long loading times

I recreated one of the most memorable moments in my life that set the tone for my career thanks to you. Standing at turn 5a at Mosport Park (using free cam) seeing an LMP (Porsche GT1) for the first time screaming toward me under hard braking. Then exiting away from me violently under throttle as the exhaust sound bursts through the hills up the back strait. Just epic.

Great job Mike as usual. I have just a couple to add. For people using G29 wheel, LUT generator/FFB clip are a must have if you ask me. And HD broken windshield is a great thing too. Simple to install.

Awesome vid mike, I’ve been a console player since the first gran turismo..playing games like Colin McRae rally to gran turismo, and the past few years project cars 1 and 2. But Not 3... :). As that will never be added to my console for all the reasons everyone else has about it... but I digress...I have since bought assetto corsa comp..and am loving it, that I realized that playing all these driving games since the first Pc game of Colin McRae rally, where I was using my keyboard to steer, I felt it’s time to get into sim racing fully. Just checked my budget, and ordered a psr1 cockpit last night, and will be ordering the fanatic Pc/ps4 podium wheel, and since seeing your vid on the H sprint peddles...well you leave me know choice but to go straight to those, by passing the v3 pedals. In summary, I’ve debated, debated and debated some more year to year, and it’s your amazing vids along with peeps like Chris haye and Erin etc, that have now embedded it in my head to make to plunge with this direction of sim rig wheel and pedal set...next year, or perhaps Christmas time, I will be looking into a Pc. As I’m a mac person due to my job ‘ industry, so that’s what has kept me from splurging on a Pc. But this vid of them all completely inspired me to go in at it full speed. As even the mods you mention of the original assets corsa. Is leaving me salivating for more... ;) so a big thank you for helping guide us newbies from console controller playing peeps, to porting over to the complete sim world for a more immersive experience. :) hoping to one day drive with you and the other greats on acc/ac/automobilista etc once I build a Pc.

You forgot one of the most important, the cam tool 2 app. With this app assetto corsa comes to life with stunning tv and cinematic replays on a wide variety of modded and original tracks.
Going to have to try out the dirt/grass/curb mod soon. It sounds pretty amazing. I don't know why I'm just now hearing about it :/

My current biggest gripe with sim racing, as a noob, is that now AMS2 has opened up online racing for me and I have joined my first casual league, I find I am so slow against the TT bosses, that I have to practice hard all week just to finish a 'proper' race. I've really been missing my AC and Rf2 and generally having carefree fun behind the virtual wheel. Great video as always.
I feel your pain. I too was excited to have installed AC last month, along with a ton of mods - kid you not, it took me nearly 2 weeks to understand all of that and how to get it running in all of its glory. Then AMS2 takes over what little free time I have and I haven't touched AC in a couple of weeks now. Damn AMS2 and its easy-of-use, incredible VR support and click and race nature. Why do they have to make it so easy for us to just sit down in our racing rigs and be racing within seconds?
But hopefully we shall all find time down the road and spend some time with AC. I'm intrigued by vintage racing and there's plenty of amazing content for AC. Oh and of course, the same can be said for AMS2. Damn you, Automobilista!

Btw if you haven't touched ams2 since then, you will want to. Apparently the new updates make it so much better than the older version.

@@Slakass55 AC never gets old. If you don't have CM and the patron versions of Shaders Patch and Pure, I can't recommend them enough. AC is still totally the winner for vintage immersion.
I felt the same as you about iRacing until Sim racing buddies gifted me a subscription. For curated online racing, it's peerless. But yeah, you have to commit an arm and a leg, and have the time to make the investment worthwhile.

For the tracks id like to add Shutoku Revival Project (insane!) And High Force (it's version 0.1 now so one to watch for the future), they are both free roam maps but that's what AC is for me!
I really going to dig into AC.
I unistaled it because i get used of the cars i downloaded and never had success to install carrer mods (Didnt knw about Manager Content, Shaders and SOL).
Its a shame, i know but only a wek ago i discovered this new AC world and i have absolutely sure that i going to be amazed, cause i always liked the FFB and physics.
An example is that i play a lot WEC in rFactor 1 because i never had success intaling it in AC, but with all the tips and leaning i had this week this is going to change.

Transfagarasan and Lake Louise are my must haves. Trans is a magical hillclimb and LL has so much variety and once you learn it it's like a Canadian Nordshleife

After trying the AVR 500-r I’d definitely take it over the Shiro if I could only have one. Can’t wait to try some of those classic tracks tho 😁

Thank you! I believe it’s a stock camera preset for the track. So press F3 in replay mode to toggle between the various TV cams, and you should find this one

Thanks for all of the information and the links. I love the AC Legends. Do you have a problem with the ACL Porsche RSR 74? For some reason, the Content Manager or Assetto direct will not load and shows an errors. Thanks.
Just downloaded Assetto corsa an hour ago, definently gonna fix the camera thing and the sounds first off all ^^
GT4 mod (Beta but allready so good) everything from Shaun Clarke. Renault R.S.0.1 and Don’t even start me on tracks 😅
But unmissable for me is the nordshleife 55 AI mod for trackdays. Now in the rain and with the AI flood it’s legendary.
I should do a clean install but I am scared to do it. Only my AC folder is allready 350 GB

If I had to go with anything it would be the SRP. They are recreating the entirety of the Shutoko in Japan. As of right now they are at about 200km of the 300
I would add Goodwood, Bridgehampton, and the AC Legends and TC Legends.
I've gotten lost for days tinkering around on just those two tracks and those two packs
Add the GD2 WRX and the Bugeye WRX from racedepartment to this list and youre golden. Subaru fan or not, those mods drive so good
