- HAPPY VLOGMAS DAY 19!! I went on a full cooking bender lol I made mango/orange jam, banana pecan bread, and an apple crumble but I ran out of butter so my caramel is made w coconut cream (its vegan hehe). I need to remember to cook everyday. I need to remember how happy it makes me!! thanks for watching ❤️
recipe for banana bread - • cooking + insane organ...
BANANA BREAD RECIPE!
* 1/2 cup melted coconut oil (you can use butter too! But something about the coconut oil is SOO GOOD)
* 2/3 cup sugar
* 2 large eggs
* 2-3 VERY RIPE mashed bananas
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* Dark chocolate chips (add nuts too if ya want)
* brown sugar + cinnamon on top (optional)
* 8 X 8 pan - cooking time will need adjustment if you use a loaf pan
preheat oven to 350°F.
whisk melted coconut oil and 2/3 cup sugar until well combined. add eggs, mashed banana, and vanilla, until combined.
in a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt. add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. This is where you add chocolate chips, nuts, etc. be careful not to over mix.
grease a 8x8 square baking pan and add the batter to the pan. Smooth into an even layer. sprinkle the top of the batter with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 25-30 minutes, rotating once during the bake time. It’s done once you can poke it with a toothpick or knife and it comes out clean!

Hi Kristen, my dog died at the beginning of this month, she was 10 and it was sudden. She was also a christmas gift and i had her since I was 12, I'm 22 now. This whole month has been inexplicably hard to deal with but I have appreciated your vlogs everyday, i sit and eat and feel at least a little bit better; you, your friends and Link make me laugh. Thank you for being so open about mental health and taking care of your body as a whole and thank you for making my December a little bit more bearable.

KRISTEN don't brush your hair while is dry!! you have textured hair, this only breaks it and frizzes up, brush during shower, after the conditioner, while is soft and wet

It’s the aperture. Notice on the footage in your car on the way back from your chiropractor, when you put your hand on the steering wheel it’s in focus but the rest of the frame isn’t, you need to adjust the aperture by adjusting the f-stop to accommodate a deeper depth of field by increasing it. I also feel your iso may be set too fast, maybe ty something around 400-800 for indoor use but bare in mind that the higher you go the more grain there will be so you have to find the happy medium.

Kristen, I woke up one day in September and couldn’t walk. I use a walker now but had a good hospital stint. Sometimes it feels so hard to take care of myself. Mental and physical health are definitely important, thanks for the reminder.

My therapist says our brain is like any other muscle, so when we experience trauma its like our brain is injured and it needs to recover to function properly again. That clicked with me and i think of it every time I have a low low too!!
