As of today, this remix is also available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, etc. under the name of We've Got Hostiles (From "Black Mesa").
Jeez, this is a lot to take in. I like how you did a twist on the music by extending it and adding a whole different part at the end. Good job! Edit : Dang i didn't know you still heart comments after 2 years!
@@bjoernkmusic holy shit you hearted my comment. You two make an excellent team. Please, do some more Half-Life / Black Mesa tracks, like Forget about Freeman, Kaon, Guard Down and after seeing what Redg was able to do with LG Orbifold, I'd like to see what you can do with that one. Kelly Bailey's and Joel Nielson's works are perfect for a quality metal remix. ;)
Hey there. Just checked and unfortunately the mix was long enough ago (2019) that half of the plugins I used are broken now when I try to open up the session. Happens a lot unfortunately when you update your OS, plugins, and digital audio workstation. Hence, I'd have to completely redo the mix, which is unfortunately not something I want to prioritize at the moment. Hope you understand. I also tried one of these "vocal unmixing" tools which advertises that it allows you to take out a vocal from a mix to create an instrumental but the result was rather jank and distorted and I don't want to put that out there.
There is no distance between us. No false veils of time or space may intervene.
We serve the same mystery.
That guitar shreds like a goddamn chainsaw and its awesome
Thank you for the compliment! I was messing around with the guitar tone quite a bit to up the EVIL haha!
the longer the HECU is in black mesa the stronger they will become
@@ipherial2929 What actually happened was quite the opposite :P

Sounds like DOOM x Half-Life, honestly it would be one of my favourite remixes. Good job man!
Glad you enjoyed it! Can't deny that Mick Gordon is a huge influence :)
It sounds like a Doom soundtrack

Thanks! These tracks inspire me a lot, so I never end up "just" covering them :)
@@bjoernkmusic Heh, you did good.
I want an extension of 2:34 onward
It's literally the best part of the song.
I think I should have my buddy Manu Hirner on more often then! His solo really brought this part to life :)

1:34 rolls over you like a thunderstorm.
Glad you like it! This part is actually original, while the other riffs are from the original track I remixed here (We've Got Hostiles).

Gotta make the most out of staying at home! :D
I can imagine this song being used in smaller demon encounters that are still a heck (pun intended) of a fight.
Gordon was really like, “Todays gonna be great” or “ “ then this can be heard through the entire facility.
Oh man, why does it have to end?
Gordon was already running late, so ...
Went from Black Mesa to DOOM real quick.
Godammn this is meltdown of fire!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really fucking good
the 1:58 flip from the expanded imagination from BKM back to the original riff just goes so FUCKING HARD its insane
