This is the beauty and spirit of RUclips. How many "tutorials" have I started to watch only to bail 60 seconds in because the guy tries to be someone he's not with quirky voices, antics, music, etc. Here's HexCam with a guy doing the job while you watch. That's it. Here's how to do it. Thank you!
fixed my drone and I didn't have to send it in to DJI, thank's a million! if your'e having the same issue make sure to wait for the sounds like the video suggests, it works. thanks again!
I was so scared to do this updates to by phantom pro, once done I had a IMU error, watched couple tutorial and I am up flying like a bird. Thanks you for taking your time to making this video, it was really helpful , thanks to this internet community. :)
Thanks for the advise, my drone refused to take off and I was going to send it away for repair but your tutorial was spot on and so easy to follow and the update worked perfectly! Thanks!
Graham did you have to use the same (in this video) prosses for the upgrade? I didn't know if there was a different way of upgrading now (2020), from when it was back then. Cause with my Phantom 3 4k, all I did is go through the app home screen and upgrade that way, no computer needed. But I recently got a Phantom 3 Advanced, and I don't know if you can simply go through the app, like you can with the 4k. Or you still need to download the upgrade to the pc, and do it that way.
Thank you for sharing this, I just bought this drone used and the instructions in the dji page are lacking in detail, glad I watched your video before attempting the update, I am sure it saved me hours of frustration!
HexCam....Kind Sir, Thank you for this thorough, simple, rational & complete tutorial, on how to update these devices. Your time is greatly appreciated, keep up the great work educating us all. Peace Brother
i have been dreading this had MY DJI adavnced for over a year and not done any formware upgardes and heard some horror stories ..followed you stage by stage and it worked like a dream ..had a small test flight seems perfect out later for a long one..so thanks form the UK
I was really stuck doing this on my own, and after watching several other videos on the subject. But you made one point that made all the difference: reformat the Micro SD in the GO app. I had formatted it in the computer but the Phantom wouldn't read the .BIN file. THANK YOU for this little piece of gold! I'm up and running.
Got my phantom pro last week, not flown it yet waiting for my ipad mini 2 to arrive. Not being techy minded i am dreading the firmware update, Your video explains it well, i've subbed you to keep you close by. many thanks !!
brilliant video sorted me to as only just got of the box and all updated with no issues whatsoever! Just one point to add, and that is the little led light above the camera is also a great indicator as to what the aircraft firmware update is doing along with the DDD's!! :-)
I'd like to see a video on preventing fly aways. I haven't flow, because the weather is freezing here in Michigan, but have flown lower-end drones before such as the Parrot AR 2.0. and have had several fly aways, I know it rarely happens with DJI's but still happens. I'd also like to see how To hand release / grab safely in the air.
Steven Kelley Hand release we can do as we do it quite a lot on offshore jobs. So, I'll schedule that in. Fly away with DJI is only likely to happen with a loss of GPS, so then it is just about being able to fly in atti. We've never had a DJI fly away in 5 years of operational and training flight. That includes older Wookong and Naza machines.
Great tutorial! I watched a few before finding yours and was still lost. The key: formatting the microSD card as MS-DOS(FAT). Once I did that the update installation went as described. Thanks to you and Henry L. for pointing out this important detail.
Michael Anspach No problem. Can't take credit for that though as I've never had to do it, formatting in the machine has always worked for me. But that is what is great about social media! :)
Just wanted to put in my two cents about a problem I ran into where my remote would not update its firmware via the app since it has been reset. I had to update it to 1.3.2 via USB then go to the latest firmware via the app. This is on a Phantom 3 Pro!
I recently purchased a Phantom 3 Pro drone. The problem is that the pilot does not want to connect with drone. Every time I turn on the remote control and drone, pilot beeping, red LED blinks and it cannot find the drone on the phone. I took another remote from the Phantom 3 Advance, paired the drone with the remote and it works as it should. What should I do with the remote control to fix it?
This is a great help to me. Just got a second advanced 3, remote died on the first one. Question I have is this. Will I have any problems running both phantoms with one controller. Not at the same time of course, will I just have to link each phantom to controller when I change from one to the other or could I run into other problems. Updates to both worked great thanks to your help.
FOR A FIRST TIME USER OF THE PHANTOM 3 PRO INSTRUCTIONS TO UPDATE FIRMWARE TUTORIAL IS GREAT STEP BY STEP . ONLY ONE QUESTION . DO I ERASE THE FIRMWARE OFF THE SD CARD WHEN FINISHED?
Just want to say thank you so much! Your video was perfect and way better then dji,s! I’m serious.i have a phantom 4 pro but long the speed and distance of my phantom 3 advanced way more lol.also have to mavic pro platinums as well but still like flying my advanced the most. Keep up the great work from OCD-FPV
Excellent video. I bought a used P3 Pro operated by app v. 3.1.68, AC v. 1.6.50. The app states my "Overall Status" as "Normal (Latest Firmware)". As described in you video, I downloaded the latest DJI AC firmware (P3X_FW_V01.11.0020.bin) but it will not install. That is to say that the firmware beeping does not begine. The update guide describing AC updating on page 4, 2nd bullet states you must use the DJI GO app for updates if the RC firmware is higher than v 1.3.20. By this last sentence, is it no longer possible to update via the Micro SD card as you describe?
I got my phantom 3 advanced yesterday (secondhand) it said on dji go that everything needed an update so I updated the controller first. But I can't update the drone at the moment due to computer issues but the drone always says no rc link. Is this because the firmewares are different? It seemed to work before I stupidly updated the controller without realising I couldn't update the drone via wifi, like other drones I've had.
The Transmitter Failed to update. Current version: 1.8.0, Upgrade version: 1.8.0. However I am upgrading to 1.10.9. I just upgraded my drone to that version. Have tried several times to upgrade but it always stops. Suggestion? Otherwise, I enjoyed your tutorial. Thank you.
Thanks HEXCAM. I still have the P3A. sept 2017. I had saved this video from last year so I could get to it again. o oh. 5 mins in now and the 4 buzzes just turned into a constant unbroken buzz. never had that before............ been going for 3 mins now and I hope its ok................. 6 mins and still going. I might abort. sounds stressfull on the gimbal
Hi this was very interesting, i do have a question, i have the phantom 3 pro and the phantom 3 standard, is it the same firmware for the batteries because i shre them together i have 4 batteries
abarronboy That normally means the update has failed for some reason. It is worth having a look at the text log file on the SD card to see what happened. My first instinct in that case would be to try another SD card with the firmware on. Another possibility is incorrect firmware but it is unlikely if it ran for a while before failing.
Hakeem kush I'm afraid that's really hard to diagnose remotely. I have that problem on one of my drones with one tablet, but other tablets are fine. before you do anything else, try different tablet/phone and also swapping the wire. Are you getting no image at all or intermittent?
HexCam okay so I got the p3p yesterday I saw it came up and I figured it's cause it needed to update after I updated it... still have the same problem I linked the remote downgrade nothing updated it nothing... afterwards tried a computer way (MAC) fail nothing... so going to try using a windows computer hoping the installation works
what does it mean when you get a constant noise and red light constant on when updating dji phantom 3 adv? it was doing the regular 3 beeps but then switched to this noisy noise with constant red light?
MrBay49er It means the update has failed, but there could be a lot of different reasons for the failure. I have never had that result myself, so maybe others can assist.
HexCam i shut down the drone and checked the log, it stated update was succesfull. i formated memory card and did the installation again and worked fine. very strange
now do you have to do this straight out of the box or have to wait for an update to come out. Also when you put the SD card into the aircraft at first and you said formatting it, what exactly does that mean?
hi there, ive p3advenced hawe an issue with the update: i got the update on the controller, then on the aircraft done. after a while, i got the message that the controller have to be updated again, done it, then it asked me to update the copter again and so on and so on....., at the moment the copter sims to be fine but the controller needs an update again ! how can i fix it??? please help, thx ps. the controller had been updated on the screen , and the craft by the mem card.
Chad Kuebler It is hard to do remote diagnosis. It sounds like the update is failing. Does the update start at all or does it go straight into constant tone.
it flashes red and green for like a minute than goes solid red. I got ahold of dji support and they said the aircraft is doa because it isn't reading some modules which is why it keeps failing
When it gives you the sound that says its finished does that sound stop after so long? My P3 pro was doing the firmware update for about 10 min making all the right sounds, I left and went to the store for about 15 min and came back and it's not making any sound. So I was just checking to see if maybe it had finished the update right after I left and it just makes the finished sound for 5 min or so and then quits.
Austin Cook Hi. There are two ways of checking. Firstly, if it needs updating, it will tell you.that in the menu that appears at the beginning of flight and the Ready to Fly bar will be red for a little while saying firmware update required. The other way, if you attempt the update and it doesn't start updating, check the text log file that will appear on the SD card. It should say firmware latest version or something like that.
Hi great tut!! Just one question. In case i have only one battery is it safe to remove the .bin file from the micro sd card or should i leave it there?
Hey Mr HexCam. I know this is quite old. But do you know if it's still the same process in 2020, to upgrade the Phantom 3 Advanced? On my Phantom 3 4k, I just went through the app home screen, and tap/hold the 3 line icon in the upper corner, and it shows the upgrade screen. Then I used that for upgrade to the drone, and controller. But on my Phantom 3 Advanced, doing the same method, I think it only upgraded the controller and not the drone. Idk for sure. Cause all it really says, is controller has been successfully completed. But doesn't say anything about the aircraft. So, do I need to download the upgrade to the pc, and do it that way? Cause now, I think I lost some of the distance. I've had the drone out to about a mile and a half before getting choppy signal, before the upgrade (to controller only?), and now it seems to start getting choppy video feed at about 3/4 of a mile. So I'm thinking maybe it's cause of a slight mismatch of the firmware of the controller and the aircraft. It looks as if the previous owner had upgraded it a couple times already. So if I had only upgraded the controller, it could be a slightly different update than the drone. Idk. But if you can please help me clear this up. I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks
HOMEWORKS They have changed the link. I found it after searching for a few seconds on the DJI website. Everything else is the same as in the video. Obviously if you have Phantom 4 onwards the process has changed and you just follow the app instructions... Here is the new place for the P3P downloads. Enjoy. As far as I'm aware, there hasn't been a firmware update for ages though. www.dji.com/mobile/phantom-3-pro/info#downloads
formated my sd card and put the .dim file on it with nothing else on the sd card, plugged it into the aircraft turned it on and nothing happens buy 2 beeps...
I followed your instructions, but its just sitting there blinking no noises at all. I have updated the firmware before but it kept saying that there was an aircraft update errorAny Ideas?
Ok. I'll try the obvious first if that's ok: was the card formatted in the machine, is the firmware properly extracted to give the .bin file. is the firmware in the root directory of the card. next time if it doesn't do any thing, open the card on a computer and you should find a log or text file. Let me know what it says.
Simple and helpful - Thanks. One quick question - battery update do we need to perform for the one which we use during Install Firmware or by default it installed while first time firmware update ?
I got my phantom 3 pro a few days ago. i updated all the firmware and everything has been fine. . Today I fired up the phantom got it in the sky everything was working fine, except when i went to take a picture the screen on my phone turns grey for a few seconds. When it comes back from the grey screen everything seems fine but no picture is taken. When I go into video mode the screen on my phone just turns black until I go back to picture mode. The sd card is recognized by the phantom and the pictures on it already still work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mazli Lee Silly question but is the SD card full? We have had issues before, where if you just delete the pictures from the card it doesn't free up the space. You can check the available space in one of the menus. You could also try backing up all your existing photos and then reformatting the card as shown in my video. Other than that, not sure!
I am following this to a tee, but it never starts with the "dot dot dot" (one, repeating beep) to begin with. I have the .bin file on the card (the only thing on there), start the drone, and I get that initial beep, but then it goes silent, the yellow lights start blinking continously (I know, forget that), and then nothing happens. Waited 10 minutes, and the the next beep-step didn't start. Same version as you, as it is the lastests version today (sep 30th, 2016) Phantom 3, Pro what could I be doing wrong?
Well, the way it started out was that the card was given to me. It was empty, so I didn't think to format it at first. Went back and forth with the problem, reading online - checking youtube - found all kinds of suggestion as to what it could be but nothing worked. So eventually I thought of it on my own, knowing the difference between FAT32 and NTFS, I checked and sure enough - it was NTFS. I reformatted it in the computer (Windows 10), under Disk Management - choosing fat32. Did a quick format, and everything worked great.
Awesome Job! Thank you for taking the time to do this video. I appreciate it. I am getting a DJI P3A tomorrow. I was looking for a video that explained this procedure. Should I update the firmware before my first flight? I'm no stranger to RC and quads. 3 years ago I built a DJI flamewheel 450 and installed DJI's Naza mv2 controller. I also build and race 250 size quads running cleanflight, and using fatshark fpv systems in them. That being said, these are a different animal and I am not familiar with the ins and outs of these flying cameras. Thanks again my friend. I subscribed. -Bill
Just got my P3pro, want to install firmware but which do I start with, the latest is from 2017, my aircraft is made in 12/18...does that mean it’s already installed ...thanks !! 😎
Should be. You can check the firmware version in the app (under the last menu tab) against the latest one on the DJI website. I'm not sure DJI are providing any more updates. Apologies haven't used P3 for a while!
Justin McCord Hi. It normally means update has failed for some reason. A text file is normally generated in the root of the SD card. That should give you some clue what happened.
Ooh! What was it? I may not even realise as I just figure it out as I go along. If it was useful to you then I can add it into training as others may find it useful. Thanks for subscribing, don't get time to do many videos but will try to do more. Suggestions welcome.
to do a new update do you delete the old one on the sd card? Also if the remote control says to contact technical support would or could you continue to do a new update?
In answer to your first question, yes. As shown in the video, format the card in the Phantom before putting the firmware on so that the latest firmware is the only thing on there other than the empty photo folders. I'm not sure about your second question as I have never seen that message. Are you getting that within DJI Go? Does it all still work normally otherwise?
How do I format the sd card in the phantom? Does that mean delete the firmware while the sd card is in the phantom? I got the message with the dji go app. Also, cant the phantom be updated without removing the sd card and plugging the drone into a laptop with the isb cable?
Fishguit Hi The format is in the video, one of the first things I do. I've not heard of being able to update through USB, although it may be possible to mount the card like a drive via the microUSB port in order to transfer the firmware file I've never tried it as I find it easier to just take the card out as shown in the video. The SD card is the way DJI describe in their videos and update instructions. I format my SD cards before every job so the firmware is never on the card for more than a few days after the update.
HexCam So after each update I can remove the Sd card (after updating) and then delete the firmware file on it, stick it back into the drone empty and everything will still work?
Fishguit Yup. It only goes onto the card to transfer it across to the aircraft. The update process then writes the new firmware to the aircraft. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to use multiple SD cards or fly without a card.
HI,good advice/tutorial. sorry for sounding dumb,im getting the phantom 3 pro next fri 15th july, as i will only have 1 battery that comes with the phantom 3 pro when i update the phantom itself will the battery automatically update as well ? thanks
+TECH REVIEWS NORTH EAST/UK No worries. Save up for a few more batteries! Three will give you about an hour of flight time without having to worry about charging.
I've tried and tried - DJI upgrade guide is not complete, dozens of youtube videos on Phantom 3 pro upgrades are going in different directions. I've ended up with a battery with only two lights, it's stuck, won't turn on won't turn off. I can't even get my DJI Go app to run without crashing. This DJI Stuff is driving me nuts. I'm throwing the whole dam thing in the trash can where it belongs..
Roger Simister same here, I have a P3S & just got a barely used P3 Advanced & haven't even been able to fly it yet cause the guy I got it from rarely used it & it needed an upgrade before I could do anything. I'm like pulling my damn hair out trying to get the upgrade to work.... Not proud of it but I already punched my damn laptop screen & spidered it. So now I gotta plug hdmi into my tv to see what's on the monitor... Ugghhh this is so fuckin frustrating
Roger Simister I've only ever had an upgrade fail once in 5 years of using DJI kit and setting them up for a lot of clients. Unfortunately remote diagnosis is really difficult. We have had a few dead or stuck batteries that generally need to go back under warranty.
What can't you find? We have Chromebooks but have never used them to update so can't help much there. You should still be able to download the firmware and put it on the SD card though, we use a USB microSD adaptor.

James Salmon Thanks James. Good point. We have found that the LED can sometimes do its own thing so I tend to prefer to keep an ear on it!
aha I shall keep that bit of advice in mind! :-)
Thanks a ton, the official firmware update video was useless. DJI should hire you for more tutorials. You got a sub sir!
Steven Kelley No problem. What other tutorials should we do?

thank you, this was alot more helpful than the official one, i will be sure to recommended this video to my friends
Adam Walker Thanks! Fly safe :)
Awesome video. I was really reluctant about doing the update but your video made it easy as pie. Thank you
722marine No worries. Have fun!
Very good video. Extremely informative. Will be doing this to mines. Cheers
Thank you so much great tutorial and now have my P3P up dated cheers
Ozbeach Andy No worries. Glad it's still useful to people!
Andy, was it the same procedure to update your drone? I did it through the app, and I think it only updated the controller but not the drone.
Thank you! You rescued our holiday entertainment!
Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure this out for a few hours and this video was so easy to follow and very helpful.

i cant seem to get the latest version on to my transmitter.. i only get the 1.8 version, and then the phantom wont find any satelites.. thoughts??
This was extremely helpful. Step 1. 2. 3. Great Tutorial

Hi, I’ve bought a Phantom 3 Pro and I’m not getting any live-view image via the Dji go app...just a black screen. Could you help? Paul.
This is a great help to me. Just got a second advanced 3, remote died on the first one. Question I have is this. Will I have any problems running both phantoms with one controller. Harvey Rhodes Hi. You will just have to go through the RC link process every time you want to swap Phantoms. It only takes a few seconds.
FOR A FIRST TIME USER OF THE PHANTOM 3 PRO INSTRUCTIONS TO UPDATE FIRMWARE TUTORIAL IS GREAT STEP BY STEP . ONLY ONE QUESTION . DO I ERASE THE FIRMWARE OFF THE SD CARD WHEN FINISHED?
ICU 2 Thanks. once you have done all your batteries as shown on the video, just format the SD card from the app. That will wipe the firmware file.
thanks I reformatted sd card ready to fly this is my first flight
ICU 2 Slow and steady. Have fun! :)

Fiz atualização do firmware 1,10,09 e meu phantom 3 pro não passao de 200m deu perda de radio, em cima de casas, comercio etc. ferrou tudo??

Nice easy to understand video, thank you
Works on the Inspire too :)
Mine seemed to be almost done and then it went to one continuous beep. I have tried starting over and now all I get is the continuous beep.

Does this update process help for "No Image Transmission signal" ? Please someone help me

MrBay49er Sometimes, it only takes a little glitch and it fails. Glad it has worked for you anyway!
Most helpful tutorial to date - thank you. Now I am being asked to calibrate the controller and it keeps beeping at me. Can you please advise?
Hi. I've never had to do that but there are instructions in the Phantom manual on the DJI website I think.
after updating my remote and was successful, when i now turn it off and on it back it starting making unstoppable noise....
Sorry, just seen this. Did you sort it out?
now do you have to do this straight out of the box or have to wait for an update to come out.
I'm sorry, I haven't come across that issue before so don't know what to suggest.
I try to do the update even after watching this and all I get is a constantly flashing red light everytime with a constant beep. Any suggestions?
Bill McGinnis I don't know, sorry. I've never left it that long! You can check the text file on the SD card to see if it was successful.
I can't update my 3 pro. It's giving me a results page & I think it's already updated, can you please help confirm this?
Austin Cook Hi. There are two ways of checking. Firstly, if it needs updating, it will tell you.that in the menu that appears at the beginning of flight and the Ready to Fly bar will be red for a little while saying firmware update required. The other way, if you attempt the update and it doesn't start updating, check the text log file that will appear on the SD card. It should say firmware latest version or something like that.
Hi great tut!! Just one question. In case i have only one battery is it safe to remove the .bin file from the micro sd card or should i leave it there?
Sorry, was on holiday. Yup, once everything is updated, just reformat the card in the Phantom and that will remove the update file.
Cool, thanks!!
Thanks
I cannot find anywhere to click for downloads on the website. Does anyone have an updated version of this process? Because this is not helping at all
HOMEWORKS They have changed the link.

HexCam thank you
SIr. what if camera removed (broken) anyother way to update ?
thanx
regards
Salih Yalcinkaya Not, that I know of. Someone else may be able to help hopefully. Could you borrow a camera?
i have phontom 4 too . it will be work with advance 3?
Salih Yalcinkaya No it won't.
i dont get any sounds what is going on!!!
formated my sd card and put the .dim file on it with nothing else on the sd card, plugged it into the aircraft turned it on and nothing happens buy 2 beeps...
Stereo Studios Does it need an update?
Yes.
+HexCam
I think we have it resolved will let you know if any issues. Thank you for the quick response
Do you know what it was? Always good to know in case of future questions.
Simple and helpful - Thanks. One quick question - battery update do we need to perform for the one which we use during Install Firmware or by default it installed while first time firmware update ?
The first one is done as part of the main update.
such a helpful tutorial. thanks so much pal.
TimothyBarkerJr No worries
How do you update if you don't have a card reader? Do you just drop the bin file onto the card when its in the P3 Pro slot?
you can just use a micro usb into the drone from your pc it will work the same way
just make sure when you move the bin file to the sd card the file is in the root directory (the first file you see)
It Worked great. Thanx
I got my phantom 3 pro a few days ago. i updated all the firmware and
everything has been fine.
. Today I fired up the phantom got it in
the sky everything was working fine, except when i went to take a
picture the screen on my phone turns grey for a few seconds. When it
comes back from the grey screen everything seems fine but no picture is
taken. When I go into video mode the screen on my phone just turns black
until I go back to picture mode. The sd card is recognized by the
phantom and the pictures on it already still work fine. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
Mazli Lee Silly question but is the SD card full? We have had issues before, where if you just delete the pictures from the card it doesn't free up the space. You can check the available space in one of the menus. You could also try backing up all your existing photos and then reformatting the card as shown in my video. Other than that, not sure!
i already format my sd card and the result is still the same..
Mazli Lee The only thing I could suggest is trying a different card initially. Remote diagnosis is really difficult.
Same version as you, as it is the lastests version today (sep 30th, 2016)
Phantom 3, Pro
what could I be doing wrong?
Being an old computer nerd, I figured it out. Note to others: Format your SD card to FAT32 (not NTFS)
Did you format the card in the Phantom? Glad you sorted it.
Great. One to remember for the future! :D Happy flying.

Thanks very much, nice and easy to follow
Just got my P3pro, want to install firmware but which do I start with, the latest is from 2017, my aircraft is made in 12/18...does that mean it’s already installed ...thanks !! 😎
Should be. You can check the firmware version in the app (under the last menu tab) against the latest one on the DJI website. I'm not sure DJI are providing any more updates. Apologies haven't used P3 for a while!
HexCam .....guess I just panicked lol...it was already updated and ready to fly...what a blessing lol, thanks for responding 😎👍
will this work today
Help please I cannot fly my Phantom 3 Advance and a signal came up on my screen CPU unit full. Help please
Tom
Tom Irwin That's normally your tablet not being able to cope for some reason I believe. Will it not let you fly at all?
thank you so much I will check it out in the morning and make you a proper reply.
what does the one long steady tone mean?
Justin McCord Hi. It normally means update has failed for some reason. A text file is normally generated in the root of the SD card. That should give you some clue what happened.
Brilliant advice 10/ 1 / 2024
Also do you put the SD into the computer before or after you've downloaded the zip file ?
Aaron2581 Normally before, just so you can transfer it across.
What if I don’t have computer, what do I do please help
I don't know, sorry. Could you get a friend to help download the firmware?
I learned something new today. Thanks for sharing. Subbed!
Ooh! What was it? I may not even realise as I just figure it out as I go along. If it was useful to you then I can add it into training as others may find it useful. Thanks for subscribing, don't get time to do many videos but will try to do more. Suggestions welcome.
+HexCam the flashing part for the battery. lol I did few battery update but I never bother looking at the back of the battery.
to do a new update do you delete the old one on the sd card?
Can we delete the bin file after we have updated it?
Ahmet Üçüncü Yup. I normally just reformat the card.
Thank you sir.
Do you hit "run" or "save" or save "as"
Aaron2581 I don't get those options. what OS and browser are you using?
yea i did the controller first and now i can't get a connection
sergio ratz Are both updated now?
aircraft and remote had an update. when i turn everything on my remote won't connect to the aircraft
sergio ratz I think you need to rebind the transmitter following the binding instructions in the manual.
HI,good advice/tutorial. sorry for sounding dumb,im getting the phantom 3 pro next fri 15th july, as i will only have 1 battery that comes with the phantom 3 pro when i update the phantom itself will the battery automatically update as well ? thanks
Fresh StopMotionReviews THANKS
I have had my Phantom 3 Pro since March 7th, ( my birth day ;-P ) and I have zero complaints, I think you will be pleased.
Yes it will.
HexCam thanks
+TECH REVIEWS NORTH EAST/UK No worries. Save up for a few more batteries! Three will give you about an hour of flight time without having to worry about charging.
I have tried everything.. i can not get my P3 to do an update..
Is it asking for the update in the app?
yes.. I just tried a different SD card and finally it seems to be taking the update...crossed fingers..5 minutes into update..
the lights are out on the aircraft and its beep, beep, beep, beep...
Thanks alot , this helped me alot ;)
No worries. Any other tutorials that would help? We are hoping to do a few more over the winter.
JAKE LYNCH how do I charge my remoot
tamer mosa :D With the charger?
worked perfect thank you
Very very good tutorial! Thanks bro.
What's the tablet you're using please?
Hi. It's a Google Nexus 7 (2nd version 2013).
Awesome information thank you, I just subscribed!
Great tutorial. Thank you. Really well made.
What Tablet are you using ?
BWWGL9 Google Nexus 7 2013
Thank you! Your video was a great help.
Has this process changed in 2019? Thank you for making this video.
Not on Phantom 3, that is still the same. The process on newer drones such as the Phantom 4 or Mavic 2 is much easier.
Easy??
Very helpful thanks
Iv had nothing but trouble with mine... never a phantom again
What annoying that DJI removed firmware updates for Standard version on their website so your forced to use DJI Go app
I don't have a standard. Connects through wifi like the old Phantom Vision doesn't it? Wouldn't like to update firmware over wifi.
Thank you for this!
Rationalific You're very welcome. Fly safe!
No it will not let me fly at all and the warning remains on the screen regards Tom
Many thanks. Tom
HexCam thx so much this video helps a lot :D
Thank you!
Great tutorial
great tutorial...sorted me out
Can somebody do this update tutorial on a chromebook? Can't find it anywhere!! Help!! Lol
What can't you find? We have Chromebooks but have never used them to update so can't help much there.
You should still be able to download the firmware and put it on the SD card though, we use a USB microSD adaptor.
I don't hear anything
