I think Vechs and many of his fans are too young to get why it's funny that Kleiner named his headcrab Lamar. It's named after actress and inventor Hedy Lamar.

Well, vechs, you managed to do it. I'm enjoying this series even more then the first part. Don't worry about not talking, I like to see the sequence as well. I'm sure you will have plenty of time to talk later, i. e. when you kill the thing that's incredibly fun to kill (dang it y u hype me.)

10x2=20+18=38+14=52, 3+1+1+2=7, 52/7=7.428514287143 which is rounded to 7, 3x6=18/2=9/7 equals 1.28571428571429 which rounds to 1, and 1+2=3 Half Life 3 Confirmed

I was kind of hoping to see Opposing Force and Blue Shift; however Half Life 2 no complaint doing Half Life 2 first. It is a great game.
I kind of like hearing Breen at 1.5x speed, just so funny. :D
Also have you ever read the webcomic Concerned: The Half-Life and Death of Gordon Frohman. It mirrored the Half Life 2 story; however in a humorous way.

I think Kliener and Vance are near the beginning of Half-Life 1, I think Eli is supposed to be the injured guy near a bank of computers and Kliener is supposed to be the one bending over him. I think Eli is supposed to have lost his foot when the computers fell on him.

Hey ***** you were pretty unclear around the end when you said, "She wants the G if you know what I mean" are you saying she wants you as in Gorden Freeman, or as in the G-man? Because those are COMPLTELY different pictures.
i think kleiner may have been the scientist up on the ledge during the last boss fight...memories.
I see a lot of people saying to skip Breen, but I don't think they should be skipped entirely.
A quick search gives me an estimation of 15 minutes of Breencast throughout the game (7 total); while not very long in the big scheme of things, it's probably not what Vech's viewers are interested in. However, they do help define Breen's and Gordon's character, plus gives insight into the Combine, so skipping them entirely dulls down
Valve has them in 2 types of areas: the ones that play while you do things so even the impatient get to hear, and those that play during a lull in action to keep interest if players want a break. So, while I don't think Vechs needs to listen to them entirely as they can feel really long, he should be conscious of them and let some decent lines be said (especially the ones addressing Gordon)

You should install the Half life 2 cinematic mod from Fake Factory. The game looks so much better with it!

I am actually very intrigued as to what the original game looks like I love looking at how graphics have improved over the years.
To break the mini teleport, you have to put stuff in both sides at the same time.
I for one would love the exposition of the screens, or at least a summery of what's being said, but then again, I haven't actually played through herf lerf before

For some reason, when I first started watching through your Half-Life videos recently, and saw how many eps of it you had put out so far, I thought that they were all going to be just for the first Half-Life, not yet knowing that you would go on to play Half-Life 2 now too, which makes more sense with all those eps haha! Although, when I was watching through the videos, I noticed how long you were spending talking about level design, development, characters, etc, which made me guess that that would be the reason for so many eps :P I don't mean that in a bad way though, it was great hearing you chat your way through the first game like that as you played through it, so it'll be great to have more of the same from you for the 2nd one here too!

I headcanon that kleiner was the guy you kept hanging out on the ledge next to in the previous episode, eli is the black dude who got squished that one time, and breen is the younger white scientist who wasn't bald.

I have never actually played Half Life 2 ... never watched it either. So hm...I'm not entirely sure if I should continue watching this or one day play the game myself. I loved Half Life 1, Blue Shift and Opposing Force though.
Was hoping you do those two first, especially because you can easily point out where the story lines intersect with the original game.
I never played half life 1 and a friend of mine bought me hl2 on steam and probably one of my favorites.
Play Half Life 2. Including the episodes. It is EASILY one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life.

also, I want to say that I tried half life 2 because my friend wanted to see me play it, and I liked it ... up to raven-thingy-place-name because it felt like it turned into another zombie game (I've always been 210% done with zombies)

Please do let him talk on the fast forward, I haven't played half life and the only playthrough I watched was Cleo's. That was a while ago, and she skipped most of them I think.

You CAN die during the intro if you take damage fast enough, I went too slow and got unlucky once and found that out.

Hey Vechs! I know you're done with HL2, EP1 and EP2, but there is a mod coming out soon called, "Lost Squad" where you actually play as Barney! It is supposed to try and answer some questions about why Barney isn't in EP2, and it looks very good. I would recommend checking it out on steam. The screenshots are actually amazing for Source.
I would like if you listened to Dr. Breen or do a speedup like you did in this video as a compromise for others. I honestly think that the dialogue adds a lot to the game and that is why valve put it in.

vechs, i thought you would be one of the people that knows that the imperial storm troopers are extremely accurate, and that the only reason they are inaccurate at times, is because they are ordered not to kill the target.
For the videos of Breen, make a separate video for it, then make a annotation in the play-through video linking to it. You could even leave the video on "private" so it does not clutter your uploaded videos list.

Vechs, I would like you to hang around for us to listen to the screens. When I first played Half-Life (Less than a month ago actually) I listened to them all, but I wouldn't mind hearing them again.

I'd say leave the Breen in, but sped up, and with an annotation skipping ahead to when he's done. I find the sections interesting, as they are a part of the game world.

I just finished playing this game, looking forward to your thoughts on the game. I personally though if was alright, and the ending was a little shite, but cant wait for this to get going!
You should play the leaked beta in addition to the first game's expansions. It'd be pretty cool to see what you say.
