No need to apologize Mark in fact it is me who owes you an apology for not providing adequate instruction from the beginning. You did an excellent job with the information you were working with 👍😎 I as well as your other viewers are glad to see complete honesty and transparency from your assessments of various products. A testament to your integrity.
The Firebox G2 titanium stove is the BEST wood stove that I have ever owned and used (better than the original Firebox stove becauseof its lower weight). And Steve, your company customer service and your honesty is exceptional, keep up the great work!
Thanks for the update Mark, that adjusting ring makes alot of sense. Definitely am considering purchasing this burner as it is more affordable, and adaptable then the Trangia one. Cheers my friend.
Excellent video and yes, Steve is a great guy and has a great company. He's someone who really cares about his customers and offers really good products. I've been dealing with him for years cannot say enough.
That's an excellent review, and this is one of those "must have" items for us backwoods cooks (mine's on the way as I type). In addition to the burner, as soon as Steve releases that square pot he's working on, that's on the "must have" list as well.
What great timing. Just today, I received my Firebox Folding Chef's Knife, so I have been thinking about Steve at Firebox. (Really impressed with the knife, by the way.) For some time I have been thinking about getting a gas burner to use with my Trangia 25 system that I can also use with the Firebox stoves. Your comprehensive videos have convinced me that this is the version that I should get. Thanks for the reviews.
Enjoyed your video and explanation of the update. I have that piece but I haven’t made the change on my stove but I will soon. I’ve started milling my own flour from wheat berries but The Provident Prepper’s channel they have a video showing how to mill the split peas into flour and have a very fast pea soup. Once you get your recipe I’ll look forward to trying it with the pork belly and pea flour.🙂
I’ve used that burner on a few trips now. It is a little fussy with wind. I found that in wind, closing the holes off helped a bit. And I used it in a nano so it kind of sticks up and out of the protection of the nanos firebox. But it is pretty impressive how well it grills a chicken breast or a steak. Very versatile burner. Just mind the breezes
Thanks for the update Mark i used mine over the weekend on a fishing outing to make my coffee. It fit right on my nano perfectly and more compact then the trangia gas burner. So Mark one quick question is that a fireproof mat under your stove if so where can i buy one of those. Can you post a link for the mat. Thanks Mark
I picked up the fiberglass mat on Aliexpress. Here is a link I just found www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005506140007.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.27.4b22c78cUh2y9U&algo_pvid=fd32775f-9172-455d-be68-ada91d4ffde1&aem_p4p_detail=202311180357338564203453967900002289590&algo_exp_id=fd32775f-9172-455d-be68-ada91d4ffde1-13&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21CAD%2115.67%218.62%21%21%2111.14%21%21%402101c71a17003086534216021e4346%2112000033344369155%21sea%21CA%21702330085%21&curPageLogUid=vWcFTseidCpH&search_p4p_id=202311180357338564203453967900002289590_14 Thanks for commenting
Erbsensuppe mit Wurst war das Lieblingsgericht meiner Oma. My Grandmothers Favorit Dish, Add Muskat and Garlic and Croutons and its perfect. Stay Safe and Sound my friend
Hi Mark, It looks like you adjust the burner like an old Bunson Burner. When I first started camping by myself, back in High School one of my Camping buddies was of German descent, His Grandfather who had served in WW 1, described a mixture made of pea flour and sausage meat that they were issued as emergency rations. We tried to duplicate it using dried pea soup mix and sausages but it did not work that well.
Sounds awesome, now that i bought one, I do not have that special feature. How can I find that piece to add to my firebox gas burner. I feel like it is flawed now.
I just ordered that wood burner, my question, I’ve watched a lot of videos, yet no one shows themselves attaching it to butane or propane. I am very new to this and unsure of procedure. Help??
All you need is a very inexpensive propane adapter. I have added a link to one available from Fire Maple. Propane in 1lb tanks works great in cold weather but are heavy to carry. That is the reason you do not see them much in videos. I have a video showing it in use in very cold weather if interested. firemaplegear.com/collections/accessories/products/z1-lpg-propane-canister-adapter Thanks for commenting
Thank you Mark for a quick response. I did order both adapters for for butane and one for propane, but in all videos I’ve watched I don’t see any adapters on the butane bottles, not Sue if I did on propane. Anyways, I’ll check out your recommendation and see if it helps. Love your videos, I’ve been watching for a few years now. Thanks for all your testing.
Sorry, that does not sound correct or make any sense. There are pleanty of other stoves on the market that do not have that issue, I have a good dozen different stoves. More than likely, the jets are too large and too much gas/air is getting to the burner head. This can happen on an unregulated stove when the canister pressure is high. I have a couple of unregulated stoves where on a new canister at full throttle, the flame wil lift off of the burner. My 2 cents.
Hi John. Based on your experience, your opinion is of more value than mine. It could be that I misunderstood what I was told by Steve. Thanks for commenting
😔😔. Ohh Mark. What are we going to do with you? 😀 I won’t be buying one of those. I just splurged on a primus omni fuel…..and when I say splurged, I mean I bought something expensive totally on impulse. 🙄
Wait a minute, what are you going to do with me?😜. I'm not the one with impulse control issues. The Primus is nice. Wish I could afford it. Thanks for commenting Jim
@@MarkYoungBushcraft 😂😂😂. Ok ok, I have issues, but I also have a hell of a nice stove! Honestly, I bought it because I have some weird issue with my old whisper light. It just doesn’t get really going. So when I saw how powerful, and with simmer control the primus is, I just couldn’t resist…..dam RUclips videos and their reviews! 😀

I don't think anyone on RUclips is more thorough than you in going over details. Much appreciated!!!

Would you happen to have a recipe on how it is made? My tests are not turning out as well as I had hoped.
Please send me the make and model of the soft brim hat you wear in this video. Thank you

does this gas burner also fit tin the Firebox Nano?

You might try REAL bacon bits; they said Bacon, I think, on the roll. If I run across my surviving roll of it I'll tell you about the ingredients.
Yes, I have moved to real bacon. Easier to get, cut up and cook. Thanks for commenting
