How to Lay Turf Guide for Best Results for a Perfect Lawn, Part 1 of 2
Turf laying step by step instructions from Turfland
1. Order your turf, topsoil, pre-turf fertiliser and any tools required to arrive on the day you have set aside to lay your new turf. You can buy your turf at www.turfonline.... & have it delivered next day.
2. If required hire a turf stripper from a tool hire shop.
3. Mow the lawn right back, don't worry about scalping it -- it doesn't matter!
4. Strip off the old turf. You can stack this up somewhere to rot down, it makes wonderful compost, or if you lack the space hire a skip to take it away.
5. Fork or hollow core the soil at 4" spacing to aerate and relieve light compaction. Wheelbarrow your topsoil onto the lawn and spread on the ground evenly. 1 bulk bag of soil is sufficient for every 30 square metres at 1" depth.
6. Rake out and level the topsoil then your almost ready to lay turf on your newly prepared ground.

I have stinging nettle plant growing. It is very difficult to pull roots out. Can I just throw my real grass turf rolls over it. Please advice.
