This is my favorite live version of Iine. I think it's first ever performance of Iine. It's at the Sakura Gakuin 2011 graduations (in mid 2012, it's the 2011-2012 school year). I think it's their third ever live performance. ruclips.net/video/XeDgyu9EuwE/видео.html&ab_channel=pekecha

You don't go to watch a Babymetal live show, you join the Babymetal live show (I mean you participate: like running around in the circle pit the whole time). :-)

So much choreography they are definitely one of the most visual bands I’ve ever seen and I saw Kiss and Alice Cooper and Elvis in concert in the 70s thanks for sharing your reaction

EDM, rap, metal, J-pop? It doesn't really matter, it's Babymetal and 20000 fans having a great time. This is where it is just Babymetal music and just a lot of fun.

The hip-hop rap in the official MV made the reactors crazy. But in the live performance version, the reactors can watch that BabyMetal only yo yo yo then change the music styles and crowds are all insane from beginning to end. 😁

Great reaction and well done watching a live version after the music video. In most lives they dropped the rap for the call back section they had in this one, but there are a couple of live versions where they kept the rap in. One of those was at the Sakura Gakuin Graduation 2011 (so even before they added Babybones for the show) where they added a little bit extra ("BABYMETAL in da house" and Yui and Moa saying something like "hold on, this isn't metal is it? No Its not").

Unfortunately this is a babybones performance and not with the Kami Band. Only the last few songs of the Legend 1997 show had the Kami Band. If they were there the whole show it would probably be my fav concert of theirs.
You should see the Tokyo Dome performance of Iine, when that heavy drop comes and you see 55,000 people headbanging in unison Su-Metal is a sight to see.
Edit: oh and Moa and Yui aren’t live here either, this was 2013 and they didn’t have live mix’s regularly until 2014.

Fun to see you revisiting a song just to compare the live performance with the music video. Although you did perhaps pick a less than perfect version this particular time. As this was from the first half of Legend 1997, we only get the BabyBones in the background, pretending to play the music over a backing track. If instead you had picked one of the Budokan shows from 2014, or the red night performance from the Tokyo Dome in 2016 (like I suggested in the comments of the previous video), you would have gotten a version with the Kami Band playing live instead. Oh well. Guess you could always do it a third time in the future :-)

And what happened in the live version with the crowd? Exactly THE type of banana-awesome-madness that makes you feel good, Mmmhhhhh-Hhhmmmmmmm! ☝️
That was awesome, thank you for reacting to the live version as well, always a good time! They are just "Killer" live. I don't know what it is, but it makes you want to jump through the screen to be there at the concert.
I definitely want to see them live someday, it just looks and feels like so much fun!
Have a great day and nice Easter holidays to all of you here!

At this time, I don't think the producer KOBA's idea could be a "live band". The back of this video is an Air Band called "Baby Bone". As you can imagine, this song has girlish comical lyrics. Thankyou djentlee! See you!!!

I just found a gem of another iine performance at the following link: ruclips.net/video/XeDgyu9EuwE/видео.html
This was performed on March 25, 2012 on stage for the Sakura Gakuin graduating ceremony for the class of 2011. This BM performance KEPT the rap section in the song which starts at 1:31 and after a few "Yo!, Yo!, One, Two", then comes "Babymetal in the House" sung by Yui and Moa followed by their hands over their heads forming a house roof! Then at 2:04 comes the Heavy Metal breakdown. Since Yui and Moa were born on June 20 and July4, 1999 respectively, that would make them at 12 yrs old and Sue (born on Dec 20, 1997) would be 14 yr old at this performance! At this young age, BM already were comfortable performing on stage in front of a huge crowd and had an enormous stage presence. Absolutely Incredible! What were you doing at 12 yr old?

  • @dralock1
    @dralock1 3 года назад

So. This was a track. Su sang over the track and they let Moa and Yui do the improved parts, but the rest of the singing was canned. I don't think anyone in their right mind actually cared because oh my god look at that concert. The band parts at this show were canned too for the most part. Not sure about the drums, but most of the guitars definitely were and they never have a synth player on stage. Again, doesn't matter, its about the whole show which was obviously a crowd pleaser and extremely fun to watch on youtube eight years later.

If you go to see a BABYMETAL show, expect to participate. As much as you might want to just watch the show, you get sucked in to an energetic workout. A few sessions at the gym is useful prep. The crowd behaviour you see isn't unique to BABYMETAL - you'll see it to various extents with other groups, certainly in Japan. BABYMETAL are from the (alternative) idol world, where the fans like to copy the choreography and chant at appropriate points in songs. You'll probably not get on with the music of ordinary J-pop idols (I'd still recommend trying some AKB48 as a comparison though), but you should definitely make a detour to see some alt idols. I'd suggest BiS and/or BiSH as good examples to start with, but be aware it isn't metal (more pop/punk). In the west, BABYMETAL crowds are not as regimented, but still full of energy. It's more of a hybrid of what you're seeing in these videos mixed with a Slayer show.

Since you like Iine so much you should check out 'Uki Uki Midnight'. It's got a sort of similar dance vibe to it. But in a different way. I think i'ts a great song that gets overlooked now. ruclips.net/video/wFO2sYncwt8/видео.html&ab_channel=GansTomas

Since their lead guitar is dead, it's not good. Ultra conventional music along elctro-pop, and voices are bad. Only the manga Hentai choreography stands out which has nothing to do with "Metal"...
