Nice unboxing vid! I seem to recall reading on Franchi's website that you can safely run 5.56 with the .223 model. I'd check directly with the manufacturer before trying it though. I usually don't like any types of camo finish on the stock for rifles, but this one looks really good.
I have shot it quite a bit. I got it sighted in maybe 3 weeks after this video. I shot a 3 shot group that was less than a silver dollar at 100 yards. Unfortunately I didn’t film that 🤦🏼♂️
I have a the bare bones franchi momentum in .308. It has a blind magazine( no removable magazine). It shoots lights out with pretty much any cheap factory ammunition. It especially likes federal non typical. It definitely could use a cheek riser.
Hi mate, great review. Good to see one in English. The rifle looks fantastic. These are just new here in Australia and the price point is incredible compared to other brands. What's your view on quality? I'm hoping to get to our local shop to check one out. Can't wait to see the scope on yours. Cheers.
My thought on quality is that the barrel action and bolt is a 7.5-8 out of 10. The stock is not as good as it could be maybe a 6-7 out of 10 but for the price it is awesome.
@@OutdoorJack sounds good. Not sure what it's like in the States but gun prices here have risen so much. I'm a Tika/Sauer 100 bloke myself but they're just too expensive now. For the money the Franchi seems a no brainer. Cheers.
Has anyone taken the action out of the stock to see if an ARCA rail can be added, or is it honeycombed like other composite stocks and there is not enough material in the fore end to drill for an ARCA rail?
I think that there should be enough material to add an ARCA Rail. I am sure there is an adapter out there to add an arca directly to the two Swivel mounts.
@@OutdoorJack I've never seen a picture of the stock and action separated, just wondering. the front swivels would definitely be too far forward to balance the rifle on a tripod.
@@R22VAUGHT Yeah, I know they make some longer ARCA rails that may get toward the center of the rifle. It would be a good rifle to try it on because with the Bull barrel it is on the heavier side.
Nice review. Thinking about this exact rifle, and use of a suppressor. Does the 24” barrel length include the muzzle brake? (I’m kind of hoping it doesn’t).
@@OutdoorJack Subbed for sure! I guess I’m wondering if it is a 24” barrel plus another 1” or 2 with the brake installed, or if that 24” is all in, Including the brake. Also, looking forward to your review when you get to shoot it! Thanks!
I see what your getting at most manufactures do not count the muzzle brake as length. So if it’s 24” barrel with a muzzle brake it should be 24” barrel and then 1.5”s of brake of that makes sense. I’ll measure mine and let you know. Thanks for the Sub BTW !
Ohh I agree, sometime brands want me to do the unboxing videos so people know what to expect when they get their rifle. Believe me though I use them. Lol

Keep us updated on what kind of groups you are getting. Where do you do your shooting in the west?

Hi just seeing if you still have this rifle? If so what's your thoughts on it 12 months or more on?
Yes I still have this rifle. It’s a keeper for me for sure. It’s my go to Coyote gun.
Whats the grouping at 200m and 300m? Thanks 👌
I can do a video on that for you. Its pretty good, I have shot 2 Inch, 2-4 shot groups at 200.

Unboxing videos are the laziest videos. You need to use the rifle to assess its strengths and weaknesses.
