In this video we review the Franchi Momentum, an Italian modern Rifle made the everyday hunter. this rifle has a lot going for it, such as a 60 degree both throw V-pillar bedding, Sub accuracy but what about everything else?
info From Franchi website:
The feature-rich Momentum represents the cutting edge of hunting rifle technology and performance. Ergonomic, light and fast-handling, its accuracy-enhancing, free-floating, coldhammer-forged barrel is threaded to accept a muzzle brake or suppressor (not included). Enjoy 1-MOA accuracy with premium factory ammunition. The bolt has a short 60-degree throw for fast cycling. A TSA recoil pad reduces felt recoil up to 50 percent. the single-stage trigger adjusts 2 to 4 lbs. Momentum takes the same scope bases as the Remington model 700 (two piece bases only).
Ruger clearly invested big on these changes and its definitely worth the extra cost.

I don't see your Helix 2-16 on the website. I might be interested in one depending on the price. Could you send me a link?
@SoapBoxGuns they are on their way (not yet listed on the site) they are around 800 something CAD,
Hey, I like the side discussion you had about button rifled vs cold hammer forged. Include more info like that in the future. I know this is a bit of a grind. But keep up the good work. This needed to be done. I have not seen a decent review on the rifle until now. Again.... thankyou sir.
I’ve got the Franchi Momentum Elite in 308, fantastic rifle!
i been thinking about getting it in .350L . do you see any need to upgrade on the rifle or is it good stock?
I looked at a Momentum Elite today in North Carolina. Camo stock, cerakoted action and barrel. On sale for $599 with an additional $150 rebate if purchased by midnight December 31, 2024.
I hadn't seen or even heard of these until today. I was told that Benelli is the parent company of Franchi and the bolts are extremely similar.
Odd; your's is the 3rd review I have watched this evening. The other two complained how difficult it was to remove the magazine with the release inside the trigger guard. You didn't seem to have any such issues.
Nice presentation. Off to review more to see if one of these belongs in my safe.
I jave a momentum elite in 223, shoots great very accurate.
Nice review- I bought the Franchi 350 Legend Elite (live in IL where only straight wall, slugs, and Muzzleloaders), and the accuracy is fantastic, shooting 170gr Hornady Interbond (my loads). I didn't even shoot any of my other 350 Legend loads after I saw the accuracy with the Interbonds. I watched many reviews of the momentum/momentum elite before purchasing and all really praised the rifle. I would say that my one complaint was also the trigger. I didn't really feel any creep, but it seemed "stiff". I might adjust it a bit, but since it is shooting so well I might also leave it completely alone. My neighbor just shot it yesterday and fell in love with it as well, but he is left handed, which is often a problem when looking for a bolt action rifle. Ity doesn't appear that the momentum is made in LH. Anyway, great review-I just subscribed.
Should do a Division 3 Entry In the Cabin Fever Challenge ! Submissions are accepted until the end of March.
Try a Sabatti with the MRR barrel
will be great to see a review of the new sabatti rover shooter or the rover carbon...
The bolt does look similar to my Sabatti's. Granted the Franchi's one was shown for half a second...
Thanks for the review, just came from another franchi review and they got a .55 average over 6 different ammunitions, I think in 308 so maybe just doesn't like 6.5
Great review, thank you. I don't think I caught it in the video, which one piece base are you using?
I would like one 7mm-08
I need to rectify a statement made before.
The Franchi is not indeed made by Sabatti BUT both use the Blizzard action designed by the custom gun maker from Turin BCM Europearms.
I have no knowledge on BCM Europearms rifles but as far as I know they designed the Blizzard as a high end action for their custom competition rifles. It's design has since been licensed to many other manufacturers like Sabatti, Franchi and Benelli. I don't know about Benelli but both Sabatti and Franchi have simplified the design to make it cheaper to produce.
I don't know if it's going to be useful to someone but accessories should be interchangeable between rifles based on this action design and I was told that you can get the original BCM Europearms trigger if you want a great aftermarket one.
This or the BERGARA B14 Sporter?
Sporter much better
Are there any aftermarket stocks like the GRS Bifrost that will fit the Horizon?
Get the franchi momentum all terrain. That 1 is fucking awsome for the timber hunter
Nice setup. Can you let me know what tripod model you are using? Thanks
I was using the T2830cs
I have one in .270, the trigger is light with NO creep, the magazine doesn’t fall out when I press the button and the bolt is smooth ! Maybe it is just your gun…. Or it’s you 🤔🏴
Can you review the Bushnell match pro Ed 5-30X56 Mil ?
sir would you be able to do a review of the Bergara hmr PRO, and how'd you rank it next to a tikka t3x UPR, for example?
Great question, I'll keep my eyes open for one
Very Nice '' Great Video 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
? I have no trigger creep in mine.
Can you please review the Howa 1500 Oryx?
i am currently working on the Howa 1500 Gamepro (thould be releasing the video this week or weekend, and the howa hera h7 witch should come out in the coming weeks
@@EpikArms Great ! Looking forward to seeing it💪🏻
where do you shoot?
near Alexandria Ontario
Это же Франки Горизонт?
Да
It's similar to a Sabatti because it's actually made by Sabatti.
I had a feeling! Odd thing in Canada they are distributed by different distributors
@@EpikArmsIt's 'normal' since they are different companies. As far as I know Sabatti, while having it's own line of guns, has for a long time provided it's manufacturing services to other companies in the industry.
While Franchi is a company part of Beretta Holdings I guess they did not have the manufacturing capabilities to provide that kind of cheap bolt rifle to customers.Since Sabatti is all about that kind of products and has massive manufacturing capabilities Franchi must have contracted them to supply the action and maybe the barrel for the momentum line.
Backfire says this is the best trigger for price. Who is being paid? ??
I doubt he is. And I'm too small to be paid. Lol. I'd say it varries at this price. He gets a great one I get a mediocre one
I see. Thank you. I can't risk a crap trigger at that price.
Hmmmm, not even close to perfect 😊😊
Why is your target 1 some what line? Make Circle LOL
a line offers a clear fine point to aim on a circle, not so much
6.5 cm is over hyped and sick of it now. 😊
Click on this vid to dislike, not interested in bargain bin rifle. Savage 110 is where I draw the line on budget
do i click here too if i dislike the video.... LOL while the rifle isnt bad its not the best. and if you dont like this one... the next video is the Howa 1500 Gameking... thanks for watching man!
It's FR-AH- NKY - not "Frenchy"
Who cares!
SH*T Accuracy, POOR stock ergos and CRAP trigger..
what the fuck are you on about?
