PING Drivers Comparison | G425 LST vs. G410 LST

- This PING drivers comparison breaks down the low-spin driver models from the last two PING driver generations. Both the PING G410 LST and the G425 LST are designed with a more forward center of gravity and a more compact clubhead shape compared to the G425 Max and G410 Plus models, generating lower spin. But how do the PING G410 LST and PING G425 LST stack up against each other?
2nd Swing's Drew Mahowald and Thomas Campbell conduct a PING driver comparison with the help of Trackman technology to identify the differences.

Love Ping Drivers! Still playing with the G400 LST
The 410LST I believe is more fade biased than the 425LST. If you have a 410LST I wouldn’t spend the money for the upgrade. Still a top notch driver.
Went back to G410 LST. IT just works better for me. Drivers are so good nowadays. Latest is not greatest since they've all hit a tech and physics wall.
I just picked up a used G410 LST with the PING Alta CB 55 Red stiff today, we'll see how it goes tomorrow 🤞
Love that!!
Can you do the G400 LST , G and G30 LS Tec models?
I had to lower my 425 LST and move the weight to the toe to keep from drawing it. Was not expecting that. Set neutral it seemed like what I'd expect from the SFT. 🤷
Smoke Blue RDX stiff.
Thanks for letting us know your results - Thomas
Great video, curious to hear your thoughts or maybe do a comparison with a driver that promotes draw/fade via a weighting system versus one that does it through hosel adjustments.
Thank you for watching! The main comparison is that a driver that can promote a draw/fade through a weighting system generally does so without manipulating the face angle. Meanwhile, if you wanted to create a draw bias through a hosel adjustment, that generally requires closing the clubface and increasing loft.
They both are trying to accomplish the same thing, they manipulate the face angle at impact. The adjustable hosel alters the face angle so you can see it visually at address. A weight system doesn't alter the face angle at address but dynamically during the swing the weight in the heel for example will make the club arrive at impact slightly more closed than it would if the weight was not in the draw position. The adjustable hosel also alters loft so keep that in mind.
@@2ndswing I see how each system attempts to achieve its goal. Do you think that a player who hovers the club and never soles it would benefit more from a weighted draw/fade driver? It seems that if you don’t sole the club and let it fall into its intended position (open/closed) that type of system would be less effective.
It's a lot of shots, but would be a more even playing field if you went back and forth twice to remove any warm-up bias
Good afternoon team 2nd Swing!!! I currently game the Cobra F9 9degree with the Atmos Black x flex. I am interested in either of these Ping Drivers. What shaft would you recommend might be comparable? I also really enjoy the hazordius smoke black 6.5. Unfortunately I am not close enough to one of your locations to have Thomas fit me or I would for sure!!!
Thanks for the comment!! One to try would be the PING Tour 75x that comes stock with these drivers. Provides good stability for a fast swing and maintains low spin.
The 425 seemed to be easier to turn over (draw) than the 410, is this the club or the golfer?

Still trying to figure out how mygolfspy rated the g425 lst lower than the g410 lst in their test. Every other video shows how the g425 is just slightly better.
Where's the swing speed gone?
Thanks for watching! Thomas prefers to swing slower in order to keep swing numbers consistent during club comparisons. He's still reaching 116 MPH when he gets after one!

Can we do more driver comparisons with Jackie for average speed people?
Unfortunately Jackie has been very tied up with fittings recently. We're trying our best to create some more videos with her!
