@@chaitzzz it's an important station in Western part of Mumbai more or less like an entry point in Mumbai itself most of passenger train stops here and then move ahead in Mumbai or go in Gujarat/Goa etc so it's a very important station in Mumbai and also one of the busiest station in Mumbai and also in India as well
more important than Vasai terminus is for railways to complete the missing link of 5th line between Mahim and Khar. once that is done, almost all the outstation trains can be diverted on the bi directional tracks between MMCT and Khar where it becomes 5th and 6th line. so that will release slots on the 3rd and 4th line (fast tracks) thus more fast trains can be run. additionally, this 5th track should be extended towards bhayander . beyond it can merge with the existing 3rd and 4th line till naigaon where a chord line needs to be made which connects naigaon to the vasai - diva link. this cord line will enable straight travel of EMUs as well as Long distance trains from Borivali onwards towards Diva--> panvel / kalyan
existing double line of Vasai - Diva can support EMU traffic but for some reasons, EMUs are not run on this section. but note that currently this section does have heavy Freight traffic which will go down once the WDFC link becomes available till JNPT. then it may be feasible to run regular EMUs on this section between Virar and Kalyan.
There will be 3 entrance to Mumbai. Panvel Junction, Kalyan Junction and Vasai Junction. In future most of the outside mail express will halt till this junction only and local trains will be cater internal movement of Mumbai, This is what I feel.
I think if they connect metro to outer terminus station then it's good otherwise people can't bord with thair bags in Mumbai local and its too difficult to manage for any long travelling person who just wants to trasfar to other terminus.
Mumbai has CSMT, LTT, Mumbai Central, Bandra Terminus, Panvel and many more. But Pune has only Pune junction no devlopments for other stations. Pune junction is operating with only 6 platforms with over 210 trains with 78 originating. People from different parts of Pune have to travel to Pune junction because of no other options. Project's in Mumbai gets approved easily but to add four new platforms for Pune is yet to be sent to railway board and approved. Still passenger of Pune - Daund section haven't got EMU, Pune - Lonavala section is double line and it required to be quadruple but no action has taken yet.
Pune Lonavala EMU has only an hour's frequency. And they claim passenger count has reduced than pre covid levels. People of Pune region are mostly private vehicle users and their distribution doesn't make increasing train services viable. Increasing connectivity at cheap rates affects real estate values and people will live at cheaper areas. So all developments has an agenda.

Pune needs to develop commuter culture. Even the metro is not used as it should have been by native. i have relatives who never stepped on the metro even as I have used it twice when not even living in the city. The highway is the only major connecting route from vasai to Mumbai region and it is always congested with traffic, govt should think of building or extending the link road from dahisar to virar...for better connectivity and smooth journey.
Suburban train network must be extended in future. We need new EMUs lines with good frequency like Vasai-Diva Diva-Panvel Panvel-Pen-Roha. Also separate EMU corridors for Kalyan to Kasara/Khopoli. This will boost growth centres in Vasai, Kalyan and Panvel.

Beekar idea hain yeh...it only increases traffic on the roads... In Delhi also all the trains are being cut short at nizzamuddin station or Sarai Rohilla station. People going on long distance travel have large amounts of luggage also not everyone (like elderly people and families) want to travel in public transport with luggage especially if there's affordability....I know so many instances where families have rather opted for a car ride or air travel just because to avoid the Hassel of intra city travel...for mumbaikars also where people are more tuned to local trains and public transport... Government is slowing devicing ways to shift them to personal transport like in Delhi .... Government should rather spend spend and spend on railway flyovers.... Underground railway lines if required and keep good intracity connections.... Otherwise people will slowly move away from railways....Europe is killing it's terminuses and connecting them with underground railway lines to make them proper railway stations.... India needs to pump in money to convert CSMT Terminus into a property 2 way station by building underground railway line under Nariman point...I know it sounds crazy but that's proper job.... You have completely ruined the video without giving any quality information about the proposed Vasai project. Who wants to know your full story of CSMT, LTT in Central and CG, MC in Western? Yesterday I saw digging work on the west side of the railway line from Dahisar to Bhayander. I guessed it is a road project. Though I don't know what it is, but about 30 years ago a road project was proposed on the western side parallel to the railway track from Borivali or Bhayander to Virar. But it was abandoned. People of Vasai and Virar were demanding double decker trains to reduce congestion. But the railway board never considered it. Why? Their ignorance is the reason for overcrowding in trains. Double decker trains can easily serve people for the next 20 years in this current structure. But who thinks about it? Who demanded air-conditioned trains? It has been put in place of normal train timings with air-conditioned trains. They have not added this AC train as extra please take care of it. Really sad for second class passengers. How many people are suffering who are ordinary second class passengers who can't afford AC train. Instead railways should provide one (1) or two (2) AC coaches with full fare for single journey in each train for whole day. This way people pay full fare and travel comfortably for whole day. Fares of this AC train were once fixed more than fair. But then they were reduced under political pressure. Now we don't get a seat in AC coach after paying fare. It is occupied by unauthorized ticket-less passengers who just sit in it after reaching Virar or Borivali from long distance trains. If I buy a ticket for a train with AC coach and miss the train, there is no next AC train immediately. If they add 2 air conditioned couches in each train between Virar and Churchgate then I can easily take the next train. Railway has not published any details about the proposed plan from Vasai to Virar for public awareness till date. We the public should know this. Not a sudden shock.
from my view, the most important things the railways need to do to help Mumbaikars 1. complete the 5th line on western railway from MMCT to Borivali (ideally till Bhayandar) 2. create a 3rd bidirectional line from Kalyan atleast till Titwala (ideally till Kasara) 3. create a 3rd bidirectional line from Kalyan atleast till Ambarnath (ideally till karjat) 4. complete WDFC till JNPT so that most of the freight traffic gets diverted there. 5. complete the 3rd and 4th line from Virar to Dahanu before planning the 5th and 6th lines from Borivali to Virar.
Vasai is already congested station, it will be very hard to acquire more space of land for new tracklines. This project should be done after virar, at saphale station or boisar palghar station, they have enough space and connectivity will also increase from rural side to mainland mumbai

Beekar idea hain yeh...it only increases traffic on the roads... In Delhi also all the trains are being cut short at nizzamuddin station or Sarai Rohilla station. People going on long distance travel have large amounts of luggage also not everyone (like elderly people and families) want to travel in public transport with luggage especially if there's affordability....I know so many instances where families have rather opted for a car ride or air travel just because to avoid the Hassel of intra city travel...for mumbaikars also where people are more tuned to local trains and public transport... Government is slowing devicing ways to shift them to personal transport like in Delhi .... Government should rather spend spend and spend on railway flyovers.... Underground railway lines if required and keep good intracity connections.... Otherwise people will slowly move away from railways....Europe is killing it's terminuses and connecting them with underground railway lines to make them proper railway stations.... India needs to pump in money to convert CSMT Terminus into a property 2 way station by building underground railway line under Nariman point...I know it sounds crazy but that's proper job.... Not a short cut

You have completely ruined the video without giving any quality information about the proposed Vasai project. Who wants to know your full story of CSMT, LTT in Central and CG, MC in Western? Yesterday I saw digging work on the west side of the railway line from Dahisar to Bhayander. I guessed it is a road project. Though I don't know what it is, but about 30 years ago a road project was proposed on the western side parallel to the railway track from Borivali or Bhayander to Virar. But it was abandoned. People of Vasai and Virar were demanding double decker trains to reduce congestion. But the railway board never considered it. Why? Their ignorance is the reason for overcrowding in trains. Double decker trains can easily serve people for the next 20 years in this current structure. But who thinks about it? Who demanded air-conditioned trains? It has been put in place of normal train timings with air-conditioned trains. They have not added this AC train as extra please take care of it. Really sad for second class passengers. How many people are suffering who are ordinary second class passengers who can't afford AC train. Instead railways should provide one (1) or two (2) AC coaches with full fare for single journey in each train for whole day. This way people pay full fare and travel comfortably for whole day. Fares of this AC train were once fixed more than fair. But then they were reduced under political pressure. Now we don't get a seat in AC coach after paying fare. It is occupied by unauthorized ticket-less passengers who just sit in it after reaching Virar or Borivali from long distance trains. If I buy a ticket for a train with AC coach and miss the train, there is no next AC train immediately. If they add 2 air conditioned couches in each train between Virar and Churchgate then I can easily take the next train. Railway has not published any details about the proposed plan from Vasai to Virar for public awareness till date. We the public should know this. Not a sudden shock.

from my view, the most important things the railways need to do to help Mumbaikars
1. complete the 5th line on western railway from MMCT to Borivali (ideally till Bhayandar)
2. create a 3rd bidirectional line from Kalyan atleast till Titwala (ideally till Kasara)
3. create a 3rd bidirectional line from Kalyan atleast till Ambarnath (ideally till karjat)
4. complete WDFC till JNPT so that most of the freight traffic gets diverted there.
5. complete the 3rd and 4th line from Virar to Dahanu before planning the 5th and 6th lines from Borivali to Virar.
Vasai is already congested station, it will be very hard to acquire more space of land for new tracklines. This project should be done after virar, at saphale station or boisar palghar station, they have enough space and connectivity will also increase from rural side to mainland mumbai
