Quality Review. Thank you for this. Helped me a lot. You could do a "RØDE X XCM-50 vs. RØDE NT-USB Mini" Review. Was searching for this and stumbled upon your review.

Personally for my use which is strictly Discord and the occasional video conferencing I prefer the shorter desktop stand that came with the original. It fits perfectly in between my keyboard and monitor without being in the line of sight to my monitor. Surprisingly, the original also does a hell of a job of not picking up my keyboard sounds which astounds me because I have a mechanical keyboard.
I only like this red one because it's more matchy-matchy to my red theme, but I don't like the stock sound capture.

.. Also, one more thing, I don't particularly like having software running in the background on my gaming PC unless I absolutely have to.

Great review! You won a subscriber. I won't be buying the XCM 50 only for the sake of the Unify. I agree it is too expensive.

Heard some complaints about the Unify software having various issues. Any issues so far in your experience?

I am having problems like as soon as I connect my xcm-50 to my PC, I have to change my audio output to the microphone (???? why) and in the software, everything works ok without the microphone but muffles all sounds slightly for some reason and as soon as the microphone is connected, none of the audio outputs work but the input seems to be working which doesn't help much cause I need my output and input to be working
