- Rode just Released a New Lineup of Microphones and Software for Gamers & Streamers called the Rode-X. There is a Cardioid Condenser Microphone, the XCM-50, and a Dynamic Microphone, the XDM-100, and a Virtual Mixing Software called Unify. We go in-depth discussing what it all comes with, talking about the features & specs, doing multiple audio tests, and going over the software and giving you guys my overall thoughts after using it for a few weeks now.

@TECH HD - Gaming Tech Channel yeah this is a lot. Haha not used to the extra settings or sliders. Honestly... having a hard time hooking everything up to each slider to come through properly. I'll get it Eventually... haha
So I assume if I plan to use a steam deck plus. The new knobs on it would be useless as I would have to be running Rode Software’s and use the mouse inputs instead of adjusting the levels via the dials on here. Seems like some functionality is lost without using Unify. Thoughts ?
Correct and that’s the major downside. Sorry for the late reply but that’s one of the major thing that Rode X is currently lacking and need a way to integrate it to the Elgato Stream Deck or for them to create their own version of a Stream Deck
I am choosing between this one (xdm 100) and Shure mv7 and really don't know what to choose
I personally haven’t tried the MV7 but I know they also have a software for the microphone and it’s XLR but you would need an additional Audio Interface. The Rode X Microphones more for Gaming and Streaming especially with the software. The MV7 more towards Podcasting. That’s the key difference
